Mine's on a slow train to CA.

I ordered a 2-door CG with 6-speed and 3.73 (that's it) on 8/17. Got my first email on 8/22, built 9/18-9/19 and shipped today with a 10/1 date for arriving at my dealer in Davis, CA. It looks like I'll get mine in almost exactly six weeks if everything holds as scheduled.

The Reno dealer told me that they only make 6-speeds twice a year. I don't know if that's true, but he said that the change-over forced them to shut the line down for two days, and since they can't produce vehicles during that time, it's expensive.

Of course, that could be total BS. This is Reno and the people aren't too bright here.

Of course, it could be that another package is slowing things down at this moment and it just appears that it's the 6-speeds. There wasn't a manual transmission restriction when I ordered mine last month. The dealer showed me on the ordering system. I did have a restriction on the 23B package, though. I don't know what the 23B is, mind you.

I'd say that dealer is full of BS. Manuals are on limited allocations every month....not twice a year. That would mean that people could have up to a 6 month wait on their manuals...yeah right....

23 B is a Manual Sport. Go to the 2013 waiting room, I posted the whole list of the packages with their codes.

They decreased the number of manual transmissions this year, they change what they order based on previous sales.

They also sell less Rubicons so the 23R sells out faster every allocation than any other Jeep.

23R is 6 speed Rubicon and that is what I ordered 6/5/12 and I ordered with leather and didn't pick mine up until 9/3/12.

They decreased the amount of 6 speeds they ordered from the vendor this year. They limit what they order based on previous years sales.

They figured that not many people like me would order a 2 door Rubicon with a 6 speed and leather.....but I am in the very few percent that got that package.

I am ordering my 2013 Wrangler Unlimited within the next week and am planning on doing some rust proofing. Has anyone heard of electronic corrosion protection, and does it work?
The dealership I am buying from offers this as an alternative to the spray on rust proofing, and I am trying to figure out if it would be a good option, as I want to keep my wrangler protected adequately if I am out on the trials.

Yeah, I have those three as well(Rubi, stick, leather). So since I ordered 1.5 months after you, I am looking at possibly mid October....DAG!

I tried to read thru to look but did not find what I was looking for so I will ask.
I have the VIN# of the jeep I have coming. I did not special order it as it is one the dealer had preordered. Dave Smith is the dealer is there a way to find out where it actually is at? I was told that it should be in the shipping process. Just curious if there is a way I can monitor it. I tried entering the dealer name in the VOS but it did not work. thanks

0% Financing for the 2013 Jeep Wrangler's

Does anyone have any information with regard to 0% financing for the 2013 Jeep Wrangler's.

I'm scheduled for a 10/04/2012 delivery at my dealership and was wondering if 0% financing will be available.

If the O% is not available, I'm most likely looking at 2.9% for 60.

Do u have to have really good credit to get a loan through the Pentagon Federal Credit Union? I'm currently involved in a credit consolidation thing, so I'll probably have to finance through Chrysler to get the best rate on a loan. Also have a trade in to negotiate on value with the dealer. I'll be using tread lightly and just got a $500 discount in the mail that can be used on 2013's. Any ideas to help with all of these things would be greatly appreciated. What I was looking to purchase was a 2013 sport unlimited with LSD, 3.73 gearing, side airbags (why I'll prob have to order), alpine premium audio, maybe connectivity, and I'm not sure of manual or auto tranny yet. Thanks again

You may not need really good credit to get a loan, but you shouldn't expect a low interest rate.

If I were you, I would be planning for around 7%.

Are you going through a consolidation company that tries to get lower payoffs or just getting a loan to consolidate your debt?

Crazy thing is my credit score is currently over 600. Last time I checked it was around 620-630. So my credit isn't too bad. I do know I will have a higher rate to pay because of the current consolidation. It will be payed off in two years. I really hope I can get my jeep without having to wait that long. I can't afford 24.99%, but I could definitely swing 7%-10% or so. Unfortunately it is with a company, not a loan to pay it off.

It will really depend on the way you are consolidating your debt and if you were late on payments prior to doing this. If your credit score took a hit that may cause problems. A straight loan to consolidate debt is not a big deal. A debt management company managing your credit card payments and getting you lower interest rates will not hurt as long as the payments never got behind before hand. One of these companies that have you skip several payments so your credit goes in the toilet so they can negotiate a settlement with your debtors will kill your credit score!

EDIT: I think you would be smart to hang on to the Honda for a while and focus on getting your score up. A score 620-630 is not bad but it's still in that average range.

Low 600's isn't terrible.. I've seen a lot worse! You might be able to find a decent rate. Having a paid off trade in that will provide you with equity will certainly help as banks will be enticed by a loan that is below the value of the vehicle!
