Just stopped at the dealer tonight to try and see where I would stand if I pulled the trigger this week. I went in inquiring about the following spec:

JK Rubi Unlimited in Commando Green
Auto w/ 410
Connectivity Group
Heated Front Seats
Dual Top Group

Spreadsheet price $38,630
Jeep website price $38,960
Dealer's price $39,070

According to my salesman the 410 is $195 not 95 and the Connectivity is $495 not $485 not a huge deal I suppose considering at this total the difference could be considered rounding errors.

Now to my question. He is going to call me tomorrow with the best out the door price he is going to offer, though I may counter depending, but I told him I wanted to be at $40,000 tops out the door. If he hits that or a bit less it would break down to minus the tax at .0775%, the $250 doc fee and $34 plate transfer fee hitting in at about $36,956 which according to the spreadsheet is just about 2% be.ow invoice.

Does that sound about right and a fair deal in the opinion of you more experienced people?

Thanks for the input!

I would go to Jeep.com and screen print the options page...which currently shows 4.10's at $95 and connectivity at $485...email that to him and ask him why is he charging you more? (I'm assuming you are in the United States).

There is a price increase. In order to price protect he needs at a minimum a receipt of deposit and signed buyers order prior to the increase and it doesn't hurt to have a preorder confirmation. At least spec'd.

My dealer told me today that with a $100.00 deductible the cost is $3100.00. Can someone maybe tell me if that sounds right or a little bit on the high side, i think i heard people were getting it for around $2300.00. And the second thing i was wondering was how much should they charge to put new rims on? They have a set of AEV Savegre rims for $209.99 each and they want to charge me $300.00 per tire for installation. The dealer and parts guy said it should take 3 hours of labor but that sounds ridiculous. I am trying to start a good relationship with the dealer but he doesnt seem to want to help me out, any opinions? Pat i would assume you know best about what the labor should be and what the warranty should cost. Thank you from the guy dying to get his first New Jeep ever!!!!
I got it for $2200 w/ no negotiating. I forget what deductible, will ck paperwork which is currently in the mail from dealer. Here's what I posted on another thread about it:
When I picked up my JKUR on Sat, I was offered and eventually accepted the Mopar lifetime bumper to bumper warranty. The brochure I received says it extends and protects all non-wear items from failure for as long as I or a "descendent" (so son, but not brother) own the Jeep. With all the elec stuff and Rubi parts I figured it was worth it. I looked hard but could not find a place that it said a part would not be covered because it outlived its "lifespan." So I intend to never pay for a tie rod end, brake caliper, spark plug/wire, exhaust, radio, window/wiper motor, A/C compressor, steering rack, etc.

Has anyone else taken this warranty, and do you have same understanding? It was $2200 so will kill it PDQ via Amex if I'm wrong on my assumptions!

I've dealt with well over 20 of these very issues over the last few years as a military squadron commander trying to get one of my guys out of a jam. SO I've been there, got the T-shirt.....and it's not a good deal as ALL parts have a lifespan. If they didn't, we wouldn't have any need for junk yards. The fine print, which you probably won't get from the underwriter until after your cancellation date has past, will definitely list all of the items you mentioned along with a host of deductibles and inspection criteria, i.e. every X years within 30 days of your purchase anniversary. Any mods you make that could be tied to causing any type of warranty issue will void the warranty, i.e. the rig has to stay stock Mopar/OEM for the life of the vehicle. Did the Jeep come with BFGs and you ran Duratracs......sorry, your warranty is voided.

Will that affect orders placed prior to the price increase?

Did anybody else notice on the jeep website there's no button to click on photos for the wrangler anymore? Hmmmm maybe Jeep is going to upload new pics of the new colors finally!

So since I already have mine, I'm going to be curious and ask what went up in price?

I just ordered a Sport S and the following seem to have changed:

S package (23S) $2200 -> $2300
3.73 axle (DME) $95 -> $195
Destination $925 -> $995

If I had known I would have made sure the order went in last week instead... :-(

Hey Pat - any update as to new incentives? Also assuming that if I ordered several months ago and it arrived at the dealer last week but I dont pick up till Friday that I wont get affected by the price increase?

Thanks

Pat,

do you know when pricing or even when the Jeep website might be updated to show these new choices?

Yeah, the 2013 roll-out has been pretty poor.

There is nothing on the Jeep website about a price increase, 2013 brochures, actual 2013 photos, nor the Moab or 2013 Freedom Edition.

Hopefully the website will be updated soon. I figured it would happen today....but maybe tomorrow....especially if orders open up for the Moab and Freedom Edition on Friday.

It's a leather cloth combo with optional heat.
Same wheels as 24S in mineral gray. Same as 2012 freedom edition.
I'll know more by tomorrow.

The only one I know of is the $799 option for the AEV hood.

Seriously though, I have the AEV hood, it helps with larger water puddles, but it still get's extremely dirty. Almost worse because it collects around the screen.
