I'm not sure what their jacked up math is, I've put several thousand dollars on that card and pay it off every month and only have the $75.
I cannot find the value of a point when redeeming for the purchase of a 2013 wrangler. If you charged $7500 on the card and have $75 available to redeem, then the reward is 1%. Can you share how much you have charged in total since having the card?

3 points per dollar spent at a Chrysler dealer
2 points per qualifying travel dollar spent
1 point per dollar spent other than the two above.

1000 points = $1 you can spend towards a new Jeep or other stuff ( gas cards, etc) that they have in their program.

Hope that helps

That's what I was looking for. Thanks! And with that, there's no way I am signing up fot this card!\

(Think about it this way: You have to spend $333.33 at a Chrysler dealer to make $1. That's like investing your money at a .3% interest rate. You'd be better off with a savings account from a local bank...)

Sorry, just saw this, I've charged $7300 worth of crap on the card. It's by no means a fast way to accumulate a discount on a Jeep, lol.

So now we have conflicting information here. Is it 1% or 0.1%? I have a credit card that gives me 1% cash back. If the jeep card is 1%, then I will use it and save 6.25% off the amount saved with the card because of reduced price on the jeep because of the rewards.

#1,310 ·
The reward is variable, depending upon what you buy (see the point system above). But even if you maximize rewards, the cash reward is only .3% (because $1 spent at Chrysler dealer=3 points, but 1,000 points=$1, so $1 spent can only get you a maximum of $.003 in return).

EDIT: I see what you mean about conflicting info though. If someone has $75 built up after spending $7500, then the points must be worth more than 1,000/$1.

I got my info from my personal Jeep card page. It doesnt break down what I've spetnt at the dealer (i'd guess about $100) vs the local Kroger or gas station, but it does tell me I've charged $7300 since I got the card and that I have $74 I can use towards a new Jeep.

I think points expire after 7 years, but I'm not positive. If you charge everything on it for 7 years and cash it out right before they expire, it's a reasonable card to get, but if you want to go buy a 2013 Jeep, it isnt a good way to do it. I'm only buyig a 2013 because I'm having issues with my 2011.

Maybe get the Jeep card and use the discount on your next jeep :)

Yipeeee! Finally got email confirming...

.... my 2013 Rubicon order and now can see in VOTS as of this morning.

Looks like it shows status as Production Scheduled.

Assuming that is better than C - Tentative schedule which was shown on the paperwork I rec'd from the dealer.

Either way... the waiting continues....

Same questions for you- when did you order, and how did Jeep get your email address?

Ready to order my Rubicon!

Hello everyone. This is my first post to this forum, but I've have been keeping up with it for a couple of weeks now. I really want to thank all of you for the wealth of information provided. It has proved invaluable in my pursuit of getting my first Jeep Wrangler.

Through my learnings I have decided that I'm going to order a 2013 Rubicon Unlimited in Commando Green. I see that the production is slated to start in September. I'm sorry if this was answered and I did not see it, but at what point can I place my order? I went to the local dealership on Friday and they didn't have a clue what I was talking about when I started spitting out the new colors.

Any info would be appreciated and again, I'm sorry if I missed this on an earlier post.

At this point sales staff have not had any training on the wrangler changes and colors for 2013. Launch date is in September. The certified sales staff will begin taking dealer courses on the vehicles as soon as they are offered. A lot of sales guys do not always keep up with their courses.

You would need to talk to the sales manager who actually orders the vehicles. They might not be able to tell you anything other than the current options and colors available now in the system.

Unless you get a sales person who is a Jeep fan, you are going to have to talk to one of the managers.

I too just got an email from Jeep thanking me for my order today. I also logged into VOTS and it shows that my Jeep has "production scheduled". It also shows a breakdown of my Jeep and all the options I ordered on it. I was pretty excited after I saw this today and is going to make the wait that much harder now. I guess I will be one of the first ones to post what True Blue really looks like on our Jeeps. :thumb:

Is it possible to request on a factory Sahara order: Rubicon wheels/tires? If that is possible, would the speedometer/computer need to be recalibrated? (I am presented on the sidelines until the '13 become official on the AR list. I suspect that will be a couple of months yet.)
No, unless Chrysler changes the options, Rubicon wheels are for Rubicons and Sahara wheels are for Saharas.

If you want Rubicon Wheels and Tires, why not order a Rubicon? You can get body colored fenders and roof on the Rubicon. Unless it is a price thing. The price on the Rubicon I ordered was about 3k more than a Sahara.

First time posting here. I've been lurking for a while and was going to wait to trade in my 07 Murano for a 2014 Cherokee until I heard about the 2013 Wranglers. I placed an order for my black 2013 JKU Rubicon on 6/12 and received an email from Jeep today, now the long wait begins.

For those who are curious, here's what Jeep's VOTS looks like once you receive the email or when you enter a VON that has been received on their end.

Got a good laugh out of this one:

why not use the old-fashioned "web filter" known as proper management?
HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Not sure there is such a thing in America anymore. For the most part, the nitwits and ass-kissers get the promotions these days, not the folks that have product knowledge or real enthusiasm for their jobs. Or the ones that care about their jobs.

Further color information

The below information is from Donlen as last updated 6/11/12. By deduction, the 10th Anniversary color Rubicon may be in at least, the Anvil color.

I too, much prefer the 2013 new color offerings to the 2012s. Hope that Rock Lobster has less orange in it than Flame Red, that Anvil looks silvery-black like the actual anvil someone posted here, and that Commando is a knock-out. Can't decipher if Dune will be more tan or beige toned (wish it was Sand-Track color like on Kia Sportage). My guess is Fuschsia may be quite limited so last minute orders may be at a furious rate.

Again, thanks Milous, Up-Hill Bill, and Pat for your continual and timely updates. If any conflict with the below information and Milous' information ... go with Milous. And, thank you Jeep for giving us 7 new interesting colors and continual upgrades to the vehicles.

Final production scheduled to end:
Bright White Clear Coat (PW7) - 07/20/12

So, as far as I can tell, last year's new wranglers had a pretty similar timeline to ours:

2012 Wrangler - Info, Features, Options & MSRP/Dealer Pricing (USA)

June 6th: Dealer order banks open
July 1st: Firm initial pricing announced
July 14th: Start of production
September 1st: Sales/Press launch
and the one of the earliest deliveries on this forum was on 7/28: http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/2012-wrangler-and-june-2nd-94698-193.html#post1418048

Anyone think the 2012s will start popping up before August?

I'm tempted to do the same thing. The thing that annoys me is that they were taking orders for 2013 JK's in May without even knowing what colors were available. The rumored colors that Milous posted back in May were the same ones that OMCS was offering, but it looks like it's going to play out that those were just an estimate and not actually available. It annoys the hell out of me that they could offer something that doesn't actually exist, take my money for it, and then not reply to my emails.

If it turns out the BFG I ordered is not available like I suspect, and they can't offer Commando green due to it not being in the order banks yet, I might just cancel everything and use a local dealer as well. At least then I could walk in person if any questions/issues arose.

Out of curiosity, is the Sales Rep from Afghanistan that you worked with initials PD?
But this is what I don't get: Why would you place an order while having no info available to you? How is that anyone else's fault? When I heard there was no info available at that time, I simply didn't place my order yet...

Totally see where you guys are coming from on the OMCS. I've pulled my order and made arrangements with a local jeep dealer in Tacoma. OMCS wasn't bad, but you have to be pretty aware of what you are getting with those folks. Once they process your order deletion it is supposed to take about a week for you money to be refunded. I should be able to report back on that in a couple days.

I pretty easily got the price down to about 1% below invoice at the local dealer before applying discounts (about what OMCS gives you after discounts/rebates). They are hunting a used small truck and I'll buy that cash for about $5K and turn around and hand it to them as the trade in when my jeep gets here in a few months.

OK ... so today I get more emails from some dealers agreeing to the price I am wiling to pay for the Jeep I want. But when I ask them for a complete break down one comes back with this ( I guess I'm a little concerned with you*asking for "how" we*would get to a price.**The only thing*you should be concerned about is the MSRP, the sale price,*and*verbage similar to*"all dealer fees included" or "documentation and or administration fees included" ). Well I also heard from the original Dealer we took the demo rides at and they said they would only do the 1% under plus I had to pay Dealer Doc fee of $172 more. So I was agravated with them all and I stopped at a Dealer on my way home that I have not asked for pricing yet. I figured they would give me a good price anyway but when I went in all prepared with all the numbers and info generated just from this thread and asking Pat. They agreed with no problem with the price I was looking for ! They broke out the paper they use to write orders on ( same one you bring to registry & insurance company ) and wanted a deposit. I told them not until Friday when I can bring my Wife to sign also. They want $1000 deposit to make the order. What should I be getting from them other than the contract. On the contract should I also make them write down every option I am ordering or is just having the Configuration Preview sheet signed with the final price ?
My build is 2013 White Unlimited Sahara with Auto tranny, limited slip, max tow and dual top out the door including all Dealer doc fees for $33,000.
Also Jgeep posted ...
Final production scheduled to end:
Bright White Clear Coat (PW7) - 07/20/12
Since the 2013 production starts AFTER that date does that mean White IS NOT avaible for 2013's ?
Rob ....
