Thanks Pat, I have just been waiting on the colors to come out. I am ordering the Sport S with a few of the Sahara options but none of the fluff. Its my welcome home/ divorce present. Although if this guy doesn't answer my emails I may be looking for a dealer in the states that can have it delivered by the time I get home.

Half doors

Does anyone know if you can order a Sahara with half doors? Have the panels been updated to go with the new interior? Thanks!

Yeap. AJP Power Convenience Group is available on the 2013 4-door Sport base model (without S package.)

I was talking about the 4-door. (I said "JKU," like "JK Unlimited," but I should've been clearer.) So my dealer was incorrect?

Yeap. Salesman got it wrong.

But, that's not unusual. You'll know more than many Jeep sales people if you follow this forum! (Unless your dealing with a salesman who is on this forum, like Pat.)

Pat, is this the 4-door or the 2-door? Same question goes for the pricing you listed earlier in the thread. Thanks!

I think there is a lot of confusion going on because of the difference in standard options between the base 2 door and base 4 door.

Last year, the initial info in the 2012 thread didn't show the power package as an option on the base 4-door as well. But I'm wondering if that changed during the year or data that came out was simply incorrect.

It is clearly available on the 2012 Jeep website, and here is a 2012 base 4-door out in Dixon Illinois, with the power package as well.

2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Unlimited For Sale | Dixon IL .
http://www.jeep.com/hostc/getWindowS...BJWDG6CL221525

I also could have sworn someone had posted their 2013 build sheet and it had a power package, but that might have been in a different forum...or I could have been dreaming.

Maybe it's just an early ordering issue then? I'd sure like to be able to order just the power & conv. package, because I don't care at all about the stock rims, tires, or leather/chrome add-ons. I understand that some people do, but the difference between the power & conv. package and the 24S package ain't worth $1,550 to me (using 2012 MSRP pricing, since I don't know the 2013 price of 24S yet...)

You will need Microsoft Excel to open and use it. Right now, only the first four sheets are working. They are the sheets for 2 door Sport, Sahara, and Rubicon. The fourth sheet summarizes your results from the other sheets to allow for easy comparison.

Let me know if I have made any mistakes. Once I have the answers to the questions I posted earlier in this thread, I will make it work for the 2 door Sport S and for all of the Unlimited models. Hopefully, you will find this to be a very useful tool.

That is exactly how I feel... (And I'm guessing it is just bad info coming from the higher ups at Jeep).

*I can have my windows tinted on my own. Plus, aftermarket window tint has the added benefit of "holding" shattered glass in place.

*I hate, hate, hate, the Goodyear SR-A's on the Sport S. I have them on my Liberty...they are useless on anything but dry solid, dry pavement.

*If I showed someone a picture of the Sport steering wheel (non-leather) and the Sport S steering wheel (leather)...they could not tell the difference.

That stuff isn't worth $1500 to me. The only thing that bugs me is not being able to get side air bags....and I'm starting to wonder if I really can (on a base Sport) and Jeep just doesn't know it.

Damn why dont I have an edit button?

That is the options on the base sport unlimited( 4 door or JKU) 23C and 24C. If you want power package you must go to the S package. The options I listed are for the base C package where there are no power options:

JE8 Manual Door Locks
GTP Manual Mirrors, Fold-Away
JF8 Manual Windows

Interesting. So unlike 2012, in 2013 you must get 23/24S if you want power. Weird.

built mine at the dealer today, 2 door sport S, gecko green, dual top, 3.73, limited slip, 6 speed...

Once i drop of the deposit on Monday the order will be placed, very excited!

Question for those in the know... the dealership told me that with the S package for the sport the windows come tinted for 2013. I told him that on the 12s I thought it was a 300.00 option. His sales manager confirmed to me that my windows would be tinted. Pat can you confirm? I dont want school bus windows!

Yeah, it would suck if that option was pulled for 2013.

He is probably referring to "tint" but not "deep tint".

"Tint" is so light that it should net even be called tint. "Deep tint" (Code GCD for $300) is the dark stuff that you are probably thinking of.

Cool spreadsheet! I just tried it and compared it to my POC. Looks like you are missing a few options for the JK Rubicon tab (not sure is same pricing applies on the JKU):

DGJ 5-Speed Auto W5A580 Transmission MSRP 1,125 FWP 1,001
*AL Leather Trimmed Bucket Seats MSRP 1,100 FWP 979
GCD Deep Tint Sunscreen Windows MSRP 300 FWP 267
AJP Power Convenience Group MSRP 795 FWP 709
AHT Trailer Tow Group MSRP 295 FWP 263
(you have AHQ max trailer tow group listed - does that apply on a JK?)

Other than that, looked good!

I don't ever remember the base sport having a power convenience package. We had lots of the C package Unlimiteds and none had power.
The way I remember it is the unlimited sport with the S package had the power package standard, the 2 door sport with S package, the power options were just that an option. The 2 dr B package power was not an option and the unlimited C package power was not an option.
Maybe I'm wrong... too much info swirling around in my head and not at home so I can't go into dealerconnect to double check.
Chicago is having some really awesome weather and it's a perfect night to be cruising topless!!!!

After doing the spreadsheet, reading today's posts, and rereading most of the thread, my mind is a whirl of Wrangler models and options. Writing a computer program to keep track of it all would be a great assignment for one of my classes. (I am a college computing professor.) I'll work in the changes that have been proposed. I'll try to get an updated spreadsheet posted sometime Monday so keep the suggestions coming.

As an aside, I usually buy Hondas. Ordering a Jeep is much different than when I purchased my first Honda. The only available options were color, AC, spoiler, and floor mats. That was it.

Thanks Pat, someone get that man a beer! This forum is great because of people like you and Milous, Hope i spelled that right.
I am in the same boat as you. The military car sales people were my best friend and emailed me daily through the whole process of building my Jeep, but as soon as I gave them that down payment they became much harder to contact. These people work directly with Chrysler, they should be able to send me all of the information on my jeep by now (colors, updated pricing, what options will or won't be available in the first round of ordering) but I am not hearing squat back from them. I am very close to getting my money back and doing like you said, and just ordering from a stateside dealership.

How about you JayMan, are you having the same experience or are you getting better info from the sales people?

Visited a local dealer today and tried to order a 2013 Rubicon. There were several colors that are not available to order now and the only new one I saw on the dealers computer available now was true blue.

They did agree to call me as soon as I could order a commando green model and went as far as printing out some examples of employee pricing. The sales manager agreed to give me employee pricing without any negotiation at all as long as I returned to order from his store.

He did say that he could do this without any problems and also mentioned the military discount as well. I did not get far into actual pricing as it would do me no good for now. He also said my positive equity (4k) on my trade in should be about the same ration in a few months and would not be an issue on my purchase.

We shall see however after looking at the order process it appears to be pretty straight forward.

I want to thank everyone here that gives all the info to help us make
great decisions about buying a Jeep. I took the info and made decisions
on what I (Wife & I) would like and the advice about "HOW TO" go about
contacting a Dealer and finalizing a GREAT deal. This will be my (Wife & I)
first EVER Jeep and actually NEVER even been in one before until we went
for a demo ride just about a month and a half ago. I went first to just
LOOK FOR a new daily driver. The Jeep wasn't even on the list BUT lo and
behold it was a Dodge/Jeep dealer and the Unlimited Wrangler caught my
eye so I said what the hell give me the keys for a demo ride. Impressed to
say the least and the following weekend took the Wife back so she could
drive it. Needless to say it did not take long for her to fal in love with it.
Her DD is a 2005 Avalanche and the Jeep is much more to her liking now.
Just a few more things to do before putting the deposit down, one being
to see how the soft top actually works because it was not in our original
plans BUT since they say the 2013 premium soft top is easier we have
decided to go with it. Here the best deal we have so far thanks to a
member in the thread (dhdad) that gave me the dealer he just bought from

See attached picture for break down of pricing. I took off my name
and Dealership here in MA. If you want it just PM me .....
Here are the final numbers ....

2013 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara, automatic, dual top,
max tow, anti spin, white.

This is what the invoice reads:

MSRP Invoice
Vehicle 31,195 29,468
Automatic 1,125 1,001
Dual Top 2,085 1,856
Max Tow 390 347
Anti Spin 295 263
5 gallon of Gas 20...crazy that this is listed
Destination 925 925

Total: 36,015 33,880
Holdback 1,053.....we will give you 883 of it.

We will sell it for 32,997.
We will need a small portion of the holdback (170)
to help prepare the car for delivery.

Sale Price 32,997.00
Doc Fee 288.00

Check out this video on the 2012 soft top. Nobody has really seen the 2013 so exact details aren't available but from what I've read the changes are a better material to resist dirt/dust and spring loaded so it probably goes down easier with a single person and up easier with a single person. My guess is the steps are likely the same.

If I had somewhere to store an extra hardtop I'd have gone for the dual top as well but in the end it's much more important for my wife to have the soft top on and store her hardtop and I actually plan to put a Hardtop rack http://www.truckcustomizers.com/prod...unlimited.html on and use it year round (MTB/kayaks in the summer, snowboards/skiis in the winter).

Damm great video .... I even D/L it for future use !
But ....
After watching your video link (thanks) it does seem wicked easy BUT
now I am concerned about anyone being able to steal the windows and anything inside.
Damm .... they just zipper off :-(
Think they could have put the zippers on the INSIDE instead !
