I plan to place this orfer for a Wrangler Rubicon to take to the Rubicon Trail Jeep Jamboree in August. Any other suggestions? I may consider adding the 430N unit but with the iphone nav I really don't need it.

What is the best price I can expect to negociate? I am a Tread lightly $100 member, Blue Ribbon Member, UFWD member, SFWD Member, and Carolina Trail Blazer Member. The only one I know gives a discount is the Tread Lightly 1% below invoice.

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I've been a lurker here for quite a while and finally in a position to where it makes sense to get rid of my 12 year old Honda Accord and get into a vehicle meant for the Arizona trails. I sent messages to a number of dealers this afternoon in the Phoenix area. One of the ones who called me asked if I was referencing 2012 pricing as some of the prices differ from the current version of the build spreadsheet. Below is a screen shot he sent me this afternoon. To save you the trouble of comparing between the screen shot and the build sheet, here are the differences I found:

Build Sheet vs Dealer Screen Shot:
- 4.10 Axle - $85 build sheet vs $174 dealer
- Connectivity Group - $432 build sheet vs $441 dealer
- base invoice - $32941 build sheet vs $32107 dealer + 995 delivery

All the other options I wanted are spot on in his screen shot versus the build spreadsheet.

Well, she finally said yes....


that means the number crunching can begin in earnest! I just ordered another round of brochures in hopes of getting a golden ticket, and am about to sign up for Penfed!

Now...Pat...got a question...will Jeep bring back the college grad money program anytime soon? and are they going to extend the VW Conquest program? I think I may buy a junker to use for the extra $$ off...

Now...I can start building the Sahara of my dreams...hellooooo Billet!

I attempted to order the unit specified in my previous post. However, I discovered you cannot get the 4:10 gear ratio with the automatic transmission option. This appears to be blocked by Jeep. (confirmed by two different dealers in two different cities)

There are 2013 units on the ground with a automatic and 4:10 gears.

Anyone know what is up?

Are you sure they are ordering you a Rubicon? Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the 4.10's are only available on the Rubicon.

As far as I know they were ordering the Rubicon trim model. Two dealers one in Gastonia, NC and one in Raleigh, NC both got the same message from Jeep.

They must be doing something wrong. I ordered on Jan 5 and got the 'order confirmation and production scheduled' e-mail on Jan 10. VOTS shows my options, which includes the 4.10 ratio on an Unlimited Rubicon.

I ordered one tonight and my dealer didn't say anything about any restriction. They are going to put my order in the system and was told the allocation for a Rubicon Unlimited starts on Feb 5th.

Wasn't there something in a post a few pages back that the dealer had to select 'sold' vehicle (if I remember correctly) and that would give more options?

I doubt it on both, especially the college grad rebate.

I think you get the 4.10 gears with the trailer package. Otherwise, the Rubi will come with 3.73. Mine is no trailer with 3.73. My friend's is 4.10 with tow package. Jeep says the tranny needs the lower gears for towing.

2013 Wrangler information thread

Pat posted earlier its a glitch in the system. You should be able to order 4.10's on the auto Rubi as a standalone option, others here have done it.

From browsing and reading the forums the past few months I have found that usually ordering ends a few weeks before production ends ie ordering for a Moab ends this month but production ends next month. Don't go by just what I say, so it's good you're asking for Pat's advice.

IIRC, DCR can no longer be ordered. That ordering window either closed early this month or late last month.

Thanks for the info. I'm surprised that DCR has been discontinued on the Wrangler since it is a color available on the 2014 GC, Compass and Patriot.

They aren't all assembled at the same plant, and not all vehicles have the same colors during the year. DCR was a 2012 color. Likely, it was extended to use up paint that was remaining at the plant (or that's my best educated guess.)

Hi All. I have been on this thread since April 2012, thank you all for the valuable information. I finally ordered last week: JKUS with:
- Black + all black leather
- Auto trans
- 3.73 + Trailer Tow Group
- Body color 3 piece HT
- 730N + connectivity group
- Seat side air bags
- Air with auto temp
- Remote start
- Anti spin
- Engine block heater

With TTL and 500 cash reward and destination fee it come out just under 37K.
.... 6 to 8 waiting time .....

- Remote start
- Anti spin
- MOPAR slush mats

When y'all ordered your Jeeps, how long did it take to get your VONs?

My dealer told me it wouldn't generate until the allocation opened on Feb 5th for a JKUR.

I got an 'order processing' email from Jeep less than a week after leaving the dealer with my VIN, and a 'production scheduled' email a few days later. I don't know why your dealer said you wouldn't get it until the 5th.

I called my dealer and get mine the day after I pulled the trigger on a Dune JKUR. I suspect your dealer to already reach his goal for January and try to pass it on his next month sales to get his bonus in February too...

I got my notice in just 3 days after I left the dealer.
