Between Dozer and Crush, you basically had 2 orange hues to choose from in '12 and '13... I still see a couple here and there at the big dealerships... You should hunt around.

I haven't been able to confirm the colors yet. I have a graph showing 2014 model year allocation will open in June not July.

14 production will start toward the end of July. 2013 model year goes offline on July 19th.

I have been for awhile. Think it would be a better idea to see if the dealer could bring one from another state? Rather have Crush, but pickins seem slim.

Dude, if a dealer wants your business bad enough, they'll trade from 2 states over to get your Jeep...

pat,
Are the 10th anniversary bumpers and hood going to be available for purchase?
I was hoping they would be on/optional on 2014.
Thanks,
Bob

I was told no. Mopar is coming out with new bumpers this summer.

What about the hood? Surely they did not spend all that money in r&d for a special edition?

Not sure on the hood.

Glad I put in my PGH order last week, but nothing showing with my VON, and nothing showing when I called I AM JEEP.

I waited out the 2012 colors for Commando green which was a bust. I really, really want an Anvil Unlimited but I just can't see plopping down 40k. I've tried to justify it on the hood, bumpers and Rubicon plus special edition but I just can't.

Please Jeep gods let us have the cherished Anvil paint in a Sport model I can modify to whatever I want!

We do really well with it and that's why we stocked up on that color. I had guessed it would be a short run.

I just finished ordering our last dealer stock orders and went heavy on Flame red, billet, black and white.

I'm still undecided between Sport and Rubicon. One reason is the so-called performance suspension on the Rubicon. I'm wondering if the dealer can install Rubicon springs and shocks? I've read the Sport is very bouncy. Would this be an easy swap?

So I'm new to the whole jeep thing. Just went out and picked up a used 2008 unlimited x model (soft top & half doors) and I'm confused with the features. Its got stock 32" tires on 17" rims, push button axle lock for the rear, and push button sway bar disconnect. I thought these features were only available on the Rubi, maybe one of you fine gentlemen can give me some info on this.
Much appreciated

You can readily find new or like new Rubicon shocks and springs that have been removed when the vehicle was lifted. Don't pay the dealer for these. Look on the "For Sale" section of this forum, Craigslist, or ebay.

I used to work for a Jeep only dealer now i work for AEV. do not waste your money putting that on your jeep. do it yourself or don't do it at all. the sport is just fine. my wife drives a sport and i have my company Jeep. Ive owned 3 JK's and all of them have been sports. i did put the rubicon springs and shocks on one of them. i understand all about the tuning in the rubicon shock but i really can say i never felt a difference. if you're going to spend money trying to better your ride get a new suspension. Ive done what you're thinking. its truly a waste of time and money. if you want to look at it from a science and engineering standpoint its not really that big of a upgrade. Just my 2 cents.

Are you saying "do-it-yourself" vs. buying a done-up Jeep from AEV...?

He's saying don't buy and install Rubicon springs/shocks on a Sport and think you've given yourself a suspension upgrade, because they just aren't enough "better" to be worth the labor/cost. That's what I got out of it, anyway.

Have I incorrectly assumed that a "sold order" is a custom order from an individual rather than a dealer order to put on the lot?

I was at a dealer yesterday and wanted to custom order one there and they told me that 5/10 was the last day I could do that.
they only offered me the option of trying to get one from another dealer.

I'm in the dog house with family over procrastinating and missing the window so I want to ask, were they bs'ing me?

Sold order is something you have placed a deposit down on and they have ordered for you.

They might not know that sold/customer orders are still open. I would ask them to submit the order as sold with your name on it. It will be built.

Check your local parts counter for availability. Mine said the 10th's hood is available & already on back order.
