That's not totally correct. There are no part numbers available for the hood or bumpers. In other words, I can't go to my parts department and order any of them. The only way is if the parts department uses a VIN from a current 10A and inputs the hood or bumpers as replacement parts.

Even if your parts guy puts in the order by a VIN, the parts are on restriction, meaning it will be a very long time until they come to the dealership. Most likely you would not see them until 10A production ends which will be the first week of July.

I personally love the bumpers and hood, and my guess is they will be released as a Mopar part late summer.

That's correct until tomorrow. Our system dealerconnect has had numerous issues and due to that the May allocation stays open until tomorrow.

Pat - can you confirm that all 2012 and newer Rubicons with the 730n should have the 40/20 GB hd? And if you only have the 11 GB drive, it is a leftover 2011 that shouldn't be in there? Thanks! Gotta take on the dealership soon! I just read about this issue!

Allocation is monthly. Meaning anything you order this month most likely will not start production until the next month. If the trim level is on restriction due to the factory being at full capacity, then the month of June is pretty certain. It has nothing to do with dealership numbers, it has more to do with the factory and what they can produce. And if you wait until June you might find the color you want is no longer available for order.

June allocation opens the first week of June and is the last opportunity for customers to order a 13. Dealer or "for stock" orders have already been shut off. The only orders allowed are sold orders.

Thanks for the explanation. I am not going to get out of the office in time today, so I will have to hope that they would not have done a run of Flame Red for just two weeks of '13 production.

I have the 2013 - 10th Anniv. Edition Rubicon, and I am looking for metal replacement inserts for the hood (which are currently plastic), as I want to powder coat them. Any suggestions? I have heard that there are companies around, but didn't see it on Mopar, Quadratec etc...

I have not seen or heard of replacement vents for that hood. I'll check at work but I don't believe that's something that can happen just yet. During production that hood was fairly protected against someone reproducing it or parts of it.

Soft top question...I went to buy a 2012 2 dr soft top for my brand new 2013 and was told its wont work...to short

Anyone else able to confirm this.?

I really want the Premium Soft top...but can't find any deals

That's incorrect. The 2013 standard top is exactly the same as the 2012 top.

Just for the fun of it!

Anybody out there care that you can't manually enter coordinates (Lat/Lon) in the Uconnect 430N................FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apparently orders for '13s are closed and when things open up in June it will be for '14s. Please let us know as soon as you get the '14s info as you so nicely did with the '13s.

Why wouldn't a huge dealership know how to do that? Why would the regional manager say it was closed? Other than the potential '14 price increase, I would think they would want the sale now....

CORRECTION:
For anyone that is interested, due to additional experience with the service department at the dealership I praised highly in my post of 8-21-2012, please substitute the word "second" for the word "first" in my next to last sentence and substitute "would not" for the word "highly" in the last sentence.
The nightmare of having the oil light go on traveling home from an oil change and checking the dip stick and seeing no oil is no longer a dream.
Jeep still seems to be running OK, but Chrysler was no help in satisfying my concerns. I hope much better fortune comes to those of you on this net that have purchased 2013 Wranglers.
Any other discussion on this matter should probably end up on an oil related thread. Thanks.

Multiple dealers have now told me orders are closed. Could it just be a Mid-Atlantic/East Coast thing?
