@ Pat,
Off topic, but are they ever going to produce the Trail Hawk?
My wife saw the pics of it and wants one.
Thanks

I've heard of a new special edition coming but I don't Get too excited about dodge. I love the new Dart and i get pretty excited about ram trucks. Jeep is really what I love.

If you or your hubby gets info pass it along. I like to compare what I have heard or read. I'm hoping to go to the dealer meeting in Vegas and take lots of good notes

Now the hard part---the Trade-in.
Accordingly to the Kelly Blue Book my trade-in value on my 2007 2 dr Ruby 46000mi in excellent shape was listed at $21,026. After they appraised my Ruby and agreed it was in excellent shape they offered me $15,500-----Kelly Resale is $23,726; After some haggling they raised to number to $17,000.

Now is it true dealers don't use the Kelly Blue book or any of the other public published material, but use an Auction book---can't remember the name which they showed me where my 2007 Rubi to be worth between $15,000 to $16,000. What a disconnect........Sure I could sell it myself for $20,000 but I just don't want the hassle........so rationalizing that if I sold the Rubi myself I would have to pay the full MA Sales Tax of 6.25% vs the difference on the trade-in, I would benefit another $1200 ...I decided to do-it and not have to worry about any future private sale issues. Sitll, It still doesn't feel right. The advocated they needed at least $2500 to cover the resale of a trade-in----but a vehicle in Excellent Condition??

The dealers claim was using the Alliance Program, the holdback was $1052 and they were giving me $337, there really wasn't much to work on the Trade-in. Where as with MSRP pricing there was approx $2200 to negoiate which is included in the figures in the Kelly Blue Book.

Does this all sound right....and if so "Let the Buyer Beware"

Can I call you Moose? Let me just say that I feel your pain. I just ordered a Jeep the other day. Was going to be trading in a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder SE. KBB.com rated it at 12k for poor condition, to 14.5k for excellent. My truck was certainly close to excellent. They post-rated it for 2 months, and offered me 11k. If I gave it to them now, 12k. Highway robbery. For a second opinion, I went to Carmax. They also offered me the 12k. Personally, I think kbb.com gives false expectations. Edmunds.com, although lower, was more in line with reality. Needless to say, I am way too lazy to sell it myself, so I already traded it in to the Jeep dealer for the 12k.

All I can tell you is you are all way off. Just stay tuned.

Back to 2013 info... On 2 door rubis if you want the premium soft top you will have to select the tinted windows as well. That was a question that came up that I couldn't find the post.
Could it be?

No. Not on the 13's. But most dealers can add it once it's delivered. Going this route, you do not get the heated seats but you do get many more color options for the leather. My dealer had 20 or 30 options when you include perferated vs not perforated. About the same price as factory. I think I'm going to order the seat heaters as well and have them installed when they add the leather.

Help....thank you.
The Sport is more like the 25K
The Sport S is more like the 28K

If you look at some of the window stickers or just build one yourself on line, the S package (power group ect.) has a sticker MSRP of abt. 2400

If you get max tow on a Rubicon unlimited 6sp does it automatically change the rear to 3.73 instead of 4.10?

The outgoing 2012 Sport S Unlimited MSRP was $28,715. The 2013 is $29,020 (prices include destination).

All the more reason to try and jump on a '12 while there are a few left. Who cares about illuminated cup holders? Adding more and more electronics to vehicles with leaky removable tops is a dumb thing for them to be doing.

You guys looking for trade numbers. We used Galves [at least in the North East USA] as a guide for pricing trades not KBB, the numbers differ. There are lots of little tricks used in pricing trades as well. It is almost always better to sell privately, especially if the vehicle you have is in mint condition.

This is the sticker off of the JKU on the dealer lot right now. Only thing missing of my "wants" is remote start (easily added later). From what folks have replied, the Rock Lobster option (2013) will be a lot more. What to do, what to do.......All educated opinions wanted....

Side note: Funny but not really. Went to this dealer yesterday to test drive. Drove a Gecko equipped the same and my daughter left her iPod in it! I HAVE to go back to dealer. Great part is that they are low pressure. We'll see. Best part is that it drove like a DREAM, heaven.

I have had a good experience with Dwayne Lane's Jeep in Everett.

I see that power convenience is removed on the rubicon. But then it shows as an option. Just wondering if someone could clear that up. I don't believe that was an option my dealer offered. Want to make sure my $43000 jeep has power windows and locks. Haha.

is the September 1st "press-launch" when we will see everything online? (I.E. Colors, options, equipement?)

Have we confirmed that the "Premium top" option is dual-tops and its available on the sport?

I read through this thread but I am still alittle confused on these 2 things

If your Jeep is $43,000, I'm guessing you have a 4 door.
On the 4 door Rubi's, Sahara's, and Sport S models, the power package is standard.

Hope info about the anniversary Rubicon will be spilled on or before this date. Maybe it will be more than just fluff.
