Ok, upon further review, I do see that a "RC9" Premium Alpine Audio System is now listed as an option for the Sport and as Standard on the Sahara and Rubicon models. What threw me, if this information ends up being correct, is that RC9 is still shown for the Wrangler as an Infinity System with 6 speakers.

Alpine, Infinity... No layman could tell the difference...and honestly, I could see some folks, if not most, thinking Infinity is superior... This is a non-issue, imho.

I would prefer Infinity speakers with an Alpine head unit and amp.

I want a proximity sensor alarm. It should be standard. I also want an adaptive cruise control (drove a Ford Edge with it, coolest thing ever). I installed a homelink auto dim mirror in my 09, very simple. They just need more places to pull power from.

Pretty soon a Rubicon Unlimited will hit $50k if they offer that kind of stuff as options. Definitely more to break out of warranty too.

All of these companies offering cars with turbo... When has turbo ever worked in a 7 or 10-year-old car...? Rarely... I can't see a touch screen still working properly 10 years on... Leave the tech in the home; focus on driving.

I have a 93 Toyota with a turbo that still runs strong and is set to pump 16PSI of boost...

Sounds like when I told my friends I wanted to get a diesel and they said the Dirty Diesel? what good was that....

The more you add to a vehicle, the greater the "opportunity" for shit to break... I know someone with Ford's Sync, where they talk to you thru it when you call them--so annoying; all muffled... I just tell them to call me later.

I had 3 cars with turbo...No turbo after 3 years in all 3.

Pricing should be available tomorrow.

Received some basic info:

All new seats bolstered like the Grand Cherokee with all new cloth and leather. Sahara and Rubicon with be embroidered instead of embossed.

Dimming rear view mirror with map lights.

Footwell and cup holder lighting

TPMS system is same as Grand Cherokee

Alpine system 7 speaker 368 watts

Premium soft top on Unlimited only has a feature that makes is appr 70% easier to fold down.

Premium soft is packaged with dual top group for both 2 door and 4 door. Only 4 door gets the "easy fold down" feature. Dirt and dust repellant. Premium is an option by itself on both 2 and 4 door if IIRC.

New wheels for Sahara and rubicon should have pics tomorrow morning. If someone is able to find a pic of the wrangler in the Beijing show to post we can all see the new Sahara wheels. Same design just the dragon wrangler has the black version.

Two other quick things:

1. Muffler is different for corrosion reasons.

2. Doors will be easier to close

Now if my contact comes thru a promised I'll have pricing and some pics tomorrow morning.

Almost forgot, the swatch that Panther and UpHill posted is very close to the Commando green. It is a clear coat, not a metallic.

Hmmm, the top is "70%" easier to fold down? How they quantifed this to a certain percentage is beyond me . . .

I was kinda wondering the same thing... I can see the warranty claims now:

Customer: Hello, Service Department?

Jeep Service: How can we help you today?

Customer: I need to make an appointment to bring my brand new Wrangler in for repair.

Jeep Service: What issue are you experiencing?

Customer: I'm having a problem with my soft top, according to the brochure it's supposed to be 70% easier to fold compared to the Wrangler I traded in. I have spent the entire afternoon folding and re-folding and the best I can come up with is 57.5%, nowhere near the claimed specs! I even had the wife try and the best she could come up with was 59.4% on her 6th attempt.

Jeep Service: Hmmm, ok, I think we can fit you in on Thursday. It will probably only require a Flash update to fix the problem so it shouldn't take too long.

Customer: Well, that's a relief, I was afraid I had purchased a lemon!

The 10th year aniversary edition?

What will they likely do for this? Will it be available at launch or not for awhile. Will the colors be limited? I want a gecko 10 ann rubicon!

Looks like a solid upgrade in the wheels if this holds. Nice.

Wow! That is a lot of changes for 2013. I would have not expected another interior upgrade. Marks a pretty big change (again) when you consider the interior of the 2010.

I wonder how the new Alpine stereo sounds...and if it is more adjustable?

As for the wheels, as far as I could tell, it was just a color change. But who knows with all of these other upgrades. The dragon versions would be a major change-up.

For other dummies like myself: (embroidered vs embossed)
