As for the wheels, as far as I could tell, it was just a color change. But who knows with all of these other upgrades. The dragon versions would be a major change-up.

Yeah, would not have expected new seats and materials after only 2 years. My guess is Chrysler decided to consolidate suppliers if they are already getting that seat design in the Grand Cherokee.

They may have gotten a better deal on an even larger bulk order.

The stage seems set for making a killer deal on a 2012 2 dr Sport with no frills, perfect for my son to drive. Noticed the local dealer had about 15 of these in various colors so did an inventory search on them and there are over 200 within a 100 mile radius of where I live. Wonder how long I should wait before sending out low offers to all of these dealers. Any expectation on incentives coming down for the 2012 Jeeps?

There are so many questions that I have.....and I'm gussing most can't be answered until it can be seen in person.

So...if the GC style seats are being used, along with different cloth and leather...will it basically be GC seats with the GC leather? (I'm assuming the "tougher" McKinley leather is no longer being used...or just a different material?).

Will the front head rest be tilted back a bit?

If GC seats are being used, is the next logical step monitors in the back of the front headrests?

Will the rear bench have more support for the middle seat?

Will the rear bench be tilted back a bit more? Will the "gap" still be there?

Can the rear head rests be folded down while driving?

Will there still space under the seat to install a lockbox?

Are the speakers still the same size and specs? (2 ohm or 4 ohms?) (Is the amp now adjustable?) (Are the rear speakers louder?)

One impression of a family member of my JK is the way the door closes (or doesn't fully close without some effort) with the windows up. Pray tell, how did they make the doors close easier on the 2013 models?

Any early word on the type of automatic transmission being used on the 2013 models?

Almost forgot, is the exhaust loop that was introduced with the Wrangler/Pentastar engine still there?

That's the only thing that held me off on a 2012. Hopefully with the new seats they might have addressed this. I have to haul three kids, and that center seating positon SUCKS!

Probably a bigger vent to let the trapped pressure escape faster.

Still waiting on pricing, all I know so far is base prices for all Wranglers/Wrangler Unlimiteds end in 995.

2 door Sahara price dropped $200.

All in all i'm a little surprised at the small but numerous updates to the Wranglers. Looks like Jeep is taking a positive approach to things so maybe some of long time concepts/GFIs will make it into production in a few years.

I'm pretty happy with the way the '13's are shaping up and I'm glad I'm buying this year.

Really looking forward to seeing the new colors and options in some pics/documentation.

Wow, that would be a pretty big jump for the 2 door. I think the base price is $22,045.....unless.........the priced dropped?

Good on Jeep to drop the price of the Sahara 2-door. Compared to the 4 door Sahara (and other models), the price point of the 2-door made little sense.

haha yeah i doubt the price dropped on a 2013... No one would by the overstock of 2012s if the 13s were cheaper

It may depend on how the prices are displayed (with or w/o destination)... $22,045 + $925 destination = $22,970, a slight increase would put it at $22,995. OR, base could be slightly lower at $21,995 + destination = $22,920.

Thanks Pat and everyone involved for the information.
Also pleasantly surprised at all the changes.
Hopefully Fiat/Jeep will not start jacking up prices. So far it looks like they might keep them reasonable. This will help keep their volume up.
My understanding is that Jeep is trying to cut end of MY inventory and hence the discounting.

Talked to one dealer who said they were down to a little over 30 day supply of 2012s.

Do not know if this is true, but it was obvious their inventory was down.

Plenty available around here. At least 30-40 Unlimiteds alone per dealer, about 5-10 dealers in the area

So if that includes inbound units then at current monthly sales of appr 14000 then it's a 45 day or so supply.
