My '13 Dozer Sport JK is in "Trim" status production right now. Should be sitting at home in the driveway very soon!

Interesting. Doesn't this contradict the proposition from earlier in this thread that "sold" orders are prioritized?

Either I'm getting my new Jeep in about a week or in a month. My guess is that they have a limited amount of leather available to build SOME of the sold orders on schedule, which is why info is coming out all over the place. We'll see soon......
I'd be skeptical on that, I was told that there was limited supplies also and that's why my JKUR was still scheduled to ship on 7/24 with Leather. Note my order date is 4 days prior to yours so if there really is limited supplies why did I get pushed from 7/23 to 7/24 to 8/16?

Hey Ron (or anybody else smarter than me),

Can someone tell me how to view a calculated monthly payment on the spreadsheet? I have the sales tax figured out for my residence so Im trying to see based off of taxation on the vehicle after downpayment w/ doc fees, paperwork ect what the actual numbee comes out to be. Ive no idea what mathematics to apply to see a REAL number. Im trying to debate between a sport s and sahara (cause the wheels are ultra sexy, and colored fenders) but trying to keep my payment beloe my current vehicles to make it worth it. Help?

I didn't say mine weren't sold. 2 are available. Speaking about my inventory only, only the psorts are being built or already built. My sold orders for Saharas and Rubicons are still sitting in D1.

Panther, since I know you peruse my website and know what color is popular you should already know that answer

Have you checked out the compare tab at the bottom? When on the tab, on the very left column there are some yellow areas for you to fill in...

Tax Rate
Tag/Title Fee
Down Payment
Trade In Value
Interest Rate
Length of Loan

When you fill those in, the figures in the bottom part of that page will change with what the monthly payment will be based on how much under invoice you'd be paying.

But you do have some regular inventory that is waiting to be shipped? So it might be ahead of other sold orders that were placed before/at the same time? Just curious about whether the whole "sold orders are made first" thing is actually true.

Your two cents would be greatly appreciated! I know very little about cars. I want a Sahara, with 3-piece Body Color hard top, upgraded rims, leather seats, and upgraded speakers. It's for in-town driving with gently, sloping roads. That's about it. I might drive the car in snow twice a year. For maybe an hour.

Does the following options list look appropriate? Have I missed something? Or added something I don't need?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

It is probably your interest rate.

If you have a 1.99% interest, it should be typed in as .0199.

Oh, I thought you meant 2013's. (As in you've already ordered five 2013 Sport S's...and those were some of the first to be built). And yup...I have been known to scope out your site from time to time.

But if you have 2013's somewhere on your site, I don't see those (except for the new GC's).

Dump the tow package (you can add it for a lot cheaper).
Dump the upgraded wheels (you might be able to add custom wheels and sell off the new 2013 Sahara wheels on Craigslist).
Order the 3.73's

First post

Ordered my Rubicon Unlimited last Thursday / Friday (it's a process) - Black, black flares, body color 3pc hardtop, uconnect 430n, heated seats, connectivity group, remote start, front seats airbag, black leather***, Air Cond, max tow package, soft top.

I tried the 730n and 430n for a few minutes. The Garmin felt familiar so I went for it.

***leather was of course unavailable. Will be added later one way or another.

1% below invoice thanks to Thread Lightly

I had the feeling I knew more about the options and the car than the jeep representative. They have yet to receive their training for 2013 it seems. Thank you everybody for all the precious information!

The wait is already killing me :-) So many 14ers and so little time...

I'm very skeptical, which is why I tend to believe the original 8/15 date I was told a week ago is more realistic. Unless color has something to do with build order for some reason, but I doubt it. I guess in 2 days I'll look on VOTS and see if it's being built on 7/25. I won't hold my breath.

I do have 13s built, they are in JS status, until they go KZ they do not show on my website. Once a vehicle goes into KZ we get invoiced and it's at that time they start showing on the website.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your reply!!!!! I'm adjusting my list accordingly. I have no earthly idea what the difference is between the "3.21's" and the "3.73's," so I shall defer to your advice.

Not a huge difference. From what Ive gathered the 3.21's are the gear of choice for road queens to get better mpg while not suited for much more than unpaved roads if you venture that route. The 3.73s are a little better suited for light off road adventures and your mod list (performance wise) is a touch bit friendlier and will accelerate faster, though a little worse mpg. Im leaning towards 3.73s cause I dont see myself going any bigger than 33's, ever.

3.21's and 3.73's refer gear ratio of your axles. Basically, at a given speed, the 3.73's will turn more RPM's that 3.21's at the same speed. That means more power.

In theory, 3.21's give higher highway gas mileage (lower rpms when crusing), where 3.73's give better acceleration, towing, and the ability to add larger wheels. In reality...because a Wrangler is shaped like a brick....highway MPG suck regardless...and anything below 50mph is about a wash anyway.

If you have a 2 door auto (and won't do much off-roading), you can get by with 3.21's since the tow rating is the same (2000 pounds) for both axle ratios (this is due to the short wheelbase of the 2 door)...but it may limit your ability to mod later. If you are ordering a 4 door, get the 3.73's since that bumps the tow rating up to 3500 pounds.

I'm getting the 2-door, and I doubt that I will be doing any mods later. (See next paragraph.) However, the 3.73 is a modest addition to the price, so I'll keep that selection on the list.

Also, I don't want wimpy looking wheels. Do the standard wheels for 2-door qualify for the (admittedly vague) description of "wimpy"? I just realized that Hubs is not likely to be pro- many (any) upgrades. So, if I want "not-wimpy," I should probably upgrade the wheels at purchase rather than dealing with spousal negotiations later. (The tow-package addition will benefit him, so I can definitely do that later.)

It's a no brainer get the 3.73, but as for the "dump the tow package", it's not like it's that much of a savings (my max tow which includes the 3.73 was like less than $350.00) and when considering a Jeep that is probably well over 30K (usually closer to 40K for a JKU with options) it's not that big of a deal. Unless you are going to install it yourself, otherwise not a huge savings by the time you buy one aftermarket and pay to have someone install. But if by chance you don't plan on towing then I'd say maybe "dump" the package.

Definitley would be interested to know this as well. If i could pay a small amount extra to get the sahara wheels on a sport s that would be incredible. I could live without the colored flares...

The giggles in response to this phrase are still threatening to bubble over....

Good point on the tow package. Although, Hubs wants the "square" one versus the "ball" one (hah, good-luck figuring out those technical terms), so I've got to remember to ask about the style. (Mentally ties string around finger.)

For 2013, the base tow package went up to $395, with another $95 for Max Tow (or just $95 for the 3.73's by themselves) and Trailer Sway is now included on all Wranglers...regardless of the getting a tow package or not.

So for 2013, the $395 tow package comes with just a hitch and a wiring harness. You can actually order it for $89 plus shipping from Quadratec....and install is fairly easy.

It would be way cheaper to wait until the '13s hit the lots and then buy some take-off Sahara wheels from a member. You'll save cash that way, and have two sets of wheels/tires. This is assuming you could even order the 18s on a Sport in the first place, which you can't.

I like that Jeep is using different wheels on all 3 models this year. It makes more sense...and helps differentiate each model.

So for 2013, the $395 tow package comes with just a hitch and a wiring harness. You can actually order it for $89 plus shipping from Quadratec....and install is fairly easy.
Quadratec Premium 2" Receiver Hitch with Wiring Kit & Jeep® Logo Plug for 07-12 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec
Sold! (Or, in actuality, "not-sold" from Jeep.) I'll buy the tow package separately (thanks SO much for the link). We have a neighbor who will install it for me, I'm sure.
