Your dealer is wrong. The ACE Rock Rails work great with or without the Rubi rails.

Yep, the ACE website even states that they WILL fit with Rubi Rails.

Thanks for the interior photo. Would not have dropped the $$$ for leather if that had been available on the 2012.

Reston...People's Republic of Fairfax

Safford in Fredericksburg was a haul...about 60 miles. There are at least a dozen Jeep dealerships closer, including a couple of other Safford's, but Fredericksburg had three JKRs with the options that I wanted. I thought that I was going to have to custom order one to get all of the creature comforts (e.g., heated seats) with a 4.1 rear...but they had a deep cherry red, black, and white all configured pretty much the way that I wanted...and those are my three favorite colors this year. Yeah, I'm boring.

I was a little partial toward DCR, but I've owned a red wrangler and two versions of blue...and my wife and daughter absolutely loved the white, so I left that red sexiness on the lot. I'm now the meanest white beast in my neighborhood.

How bout you? Still in Harrisonburg?

Actually live in Chantilly. Safford in Fredericksburg was on my list for a 2012, but they took the last crush and did the truck conversion. Great people, they matched Koons Tyson's price/offer, but fburg is a little too far for lifetime oil changes.

I saw that conversion. It looked AWESOME! It is on their showroom floor.

No doubt, that Koons deal is very sweet...although I hate driving into Tysons. It looks like a war zone at the moment...and even before the construction, it sucked.

Even so, if I could have found one there, I would have jumped in a heartbeat. They definitely had the best selection of the 7 or 8 local dealers that I was watching, but I had to go to Fredericksburg to get a JKR on the lot with a 4.1 rear. NOVA dealers don't seem to order them that way.

With regards to Safford, I dealt with Ben Clarke...and he was great. I did most of the negotiation, including trade price, via email...to make sure that I wasn't wasting my time driving down there.

I'll see you out there! No way that I am missing that beauty!

Just posted this over in the DCR waiting room. I thought the lighting really brought out the best of the DCR color.
