2013 Wrangler - strange rattle above wheelwell

My 2013 Wrangler has developed a strange rattle which seems to be above the driver's side rear wheel well and behind the felt interior wall. It only begins to rattle when I drive over 45 mph- so it seems to be affected by the wind.

I have checked the soft top at every joint and the rattle is not coming from the top. It's around the wheel well and behind the interior wall.

Has anyone else experienced this or have any idea what it could be?

I only have 1500 miles on it.

Hid there so I have a 2013 wrangler and I was hearing.a.rattle and a squeaking sound inside.the engine. It would also make.more noise at high speeds and it.only had 2,500 miles.took it to.the dealership and it needed a new alternator and serpentine belt. They just said they.were bad from the manufacturer. So they.replaced it free. Hope this helps.

Check and make sure the jack is tight in its storage location. Even though it's not exactly where you think the sound is coming from, metal on metal sounds can travel quite a ways.

This sounds very familiar. There was a thread last year or the year before with the same issue but front driver's side. I can barely remember it but it was on the outside in the wheel well, there was a gap or there was something loose or exposed that caught the wind when driving and vibrated causing the noise. I did a quick search but cannot locate the thread.

Poke around the outside if you find nothing inside

Interesting, I have a fluttering sound coming from what sounds like the drivers A pillar. I'll check out the wheel well area and if that could be it.

I checked the jack and its tight! There is nothing in the vehicle or visible from the wheel well that appears lose or rattling. Guess I will take it into the dealer! Finding rattles are a nightmare from dealer service departments!

I'm hearing a faint "rattle" or "flapping" coming from the same area. I have a hardtop, so that rules out soft top noise.
I'm thinking it's the material inside the wheel well, right under the flare. It's pinned around the outside, but kind of hangs free nearer to the inside. Perhaps, this is making noise at higher speeds.

If you have a hardtop at all could it be those mounting hardware plates for the hardtop that is on the inside under the tub rails above the tires? they look like this.....

I hear the same thing. Usually, the noise is present when there is a good cross breeze. Could the front spring label flapping make that much noise?

How about the adjustable fill hose for the fuel? Could that be shifting around and making the noise?

I don't think the label would make enough noise to hear inside the cabin.
I'm going to try and pin it down. I have a real strong suspicion that it is the "shroud" inside the wheel well thats flapping and tapping against the body at the bottom.

I have the same thing in my 13 jku soft top. Been to the dealer twice but no love. It would be great to figure it out. I hate a rattle almost as bad as I hate...well...anything lol
