Well, looks like if I'm gonna get the little lady the SRT8 GC, I better get an 13. I'll look for something elsewhere if that's what the new one looks like. Fugly...

I love the new look... I hope Jeep uses it across all models, even the wrangler. I know I know, that's a dangerous thing to say, but I like looking modern. Look at the new range rover.. Off road can also be beautiful.

I know it's of topic, but it does show the styling direction that Fiat is going with a legendary name like Cherokee.. I think it's relevant to what might happen to the JK in the future. And it has been confirmed that the Cherokee name will be replacing Liberty.

This is not the NA GC. Numerous threads on this already. Supposed to be the Euro Cherokee which is actually the Liberty.... If that makes sense. Lol

Ditto on that, the Cherokee is not replacing the Grand Cherokee, it is replacing the Liberty, so you can pick either the GC or the C for 2014. Personally, I think it's hideous and cant imagine they would be dumb enough to use that same styling idea on the Wrangler :-O.

The new Cherokee isn't ugly. It is pure, unadulterated Euro-fugly.

The Cherokee stopped being itself about 12 or 13 years ago. The new one is just a response to what most of the market wants - a more car-like ride and handling and only modest off-road capability. I'd love it if Jeep could capture buyers who might otherwise get a Rav4 or a CRV.

Bingo! Where do you think they want to focus on? It should be pretty obvious by the name choice. The KK has always been known as the Cherokee everywhere except the USA.

The XJ was an icon in the SUV world. I think to use its name on this ugly Pontiac Aztek knock off is a slap in the face to the old Cherokee and the image of Jeep. FWD based? Really? Next up, Fiat will F up the next Wrangler in 2017. I am seriously worried they will bungle it and kill Jeep as a brand in the process.

Ugly as hell. All the suvs today are starting to look alike. Raise it up, get rid of all the rounded edges, and put some solid axles in it it may be ok.

If it was a Hyundai, it would look nice.. From an appearance standpoint, this has zero brand uniqueness besides the seven-slot grille.

Look at how Pontiac released the GTO that looked like a generic import and was an epic fail, while Ford release retro-style Mustang and was very successful. People want brand recognition!

I see a curved front end on JK's future. This here is the stepping stone to change the look. All likely for gas mileage tweaks.

I hate the futuristic look that it and trucks seem to be having these days. Very unappealing!!
