HAHA! I would probably put copperhead, Amp'd, and flame red slightly in front of Anvil, but they are very close. I would definitely pick anvil over dune...
That's the great thing about Jeeps, they come in all different colors. Heck, I would have trouble driving a gecko Jeep, but there are several people that love their gecko. More power to you! Buy what you like and who cares about what other people think anyway. We are all driving the same Jeep

while going to a few stealerships the past few months, i saw quite a few dune colored jeeps. i must say i have to put dune right next to rock lobster as another hideous color that should have been banished to the not return list.

You know, Dune isn't all that bad of a color. I just think its stuck between shades. It's too dark to be desert commando and too light to be brown. Its almost too beige-y. With a few tweaks on contrast I bet it could have been an awesome color.

No doubt! Dune could be an awesome color, but it is stuck too much in the middle of colors. I would prefer more of the sand desert commando color. That is my main problem with anvil also. I don't know what color it is. Whenever I have seen the anvil in person I am torn when I see it. Part of me wants to like it, but something is just off about the color. I can't really explain it. I think they missed the mark on both colors.

Just out of curiosity have you seen anvil in person? I had a much different impression of it when I saw it in person than when I merely saw pictures of it. All the pictures emphasized the blue tone, but in person it is much more of a battlehship grey color IMO.

don't get me wrong after looking at the Sahara Tan picture thread, i thought to myself that is a very nice Jeep color. However when i seen the Dune in person at a few dealerships, not only did I think it looks horrid, i was with my father and uncle and they both said the same thing..... if Dune actually had that dessert tan look, it would have probably done alot better. its too much like a pale yellowish color which would only appeal to certain people.

I really tried to like Dune, it was just a little too pale/glossy for me. I think if they offered it in a matte finish as was done on the Sand Trooper II SEMA JKU it would have been a lot better.

i honestly don't think i would be able to get up every morning and look in my driveway or in my garage and see either a Dune or Rock lobster for a good 8 or so years. i would probably just end up wanting to sell or repaint it

I almost joined when I was 19, not really sure why I didn't. Think it had something to do with a girlfriend at the time. Always wanted to follow my old man's steps there. Hoorah

No disrespect to you... im sure you've been on other forums where people put out false info and it ends up turning out to be BS. im hoping they really did order it for you so i can order one tomorrow morning and start this long wait.

I'm sorry to hear that. hopefully you can get everything straightend out. I myself would be steaming, and probably would tell that dealer to kiss my ass..... not only did they waste your time but they also got your hopes up.

Please keep us informed on this matter. I'm sure that not only myself but quite a few others are wondering whats up with this dealership letting you order a color thats not even available to order yet.
