and for whatever it's worth... The original mango tango, rescue green, dune and a 2004 concept jeep that still looks good. Last but not least, ANVIL.....Amazing how the Red lettering really sets off the anvil on the 10a but here on a standard rubi, there is definitely something missing...
May we all now make better informed decisions.

Some colors are only in production for a short time, like gecko. It was only made at the end of 2012 and is impossible to find now in an unlimited. In fact, the only three in the US are in Jersey, Delaware, and New York. I think the new color for '14 called Amped is going to be that way too. If you like yellow, look at the Amped when its released. The new blue is going to look good also.

If they would only have a Hydro Blue Rubicon I'd wait... what a shame!

That's nice work, Klinkenstein! I bought and love a 2013 Dozer, but am excited to see these new colors. It's amazing how so many colors look so sharp on a Jeep.

If I was buying in 2014, I definitely would have my eye on Copperhead, and probably Hydro Blue as well. I can't tell if I will love Amp'd or not. The color sample looks a lot like Dozer, but I can't picture Dozer in metallic. I hope it does come out kind of orangey, because I am not a fan if cars that look gold.

The colors were taken from the first page of this threads' color samples with the exception of copperhead that I viewed and studied and took multiple pics of in person from a ram.

Hey Klinkenstein, your photoshop skills are great. Is there any chance you could apply that granite color to the Jeep I posted on the previous page? I am really curious how the granite will look with the half doors. If you don't have time then don't worry about it. I just have no clue how to use photoshop

Are you just looking to see what one in granite with half doors would look like - ie it doesn't have to be that one?

Whatever is easiest for you. The picture I posted is pretty close to how I will build mine and what I want it to look like, but if you have a better or easier picture to use with half doors that is cool to.

Not a lot of half doors out there to choose from. I tried to use yours as well but someone already altered a lot of the original photo information.

Of all the colors available this year I still think anvil will look the best with everything else blacked out, but granite crystal is a close second. There is just enough contrast to set off the black tires and accents.

Thanks for the photo-shopping.

Easier said than done! The program itself is $600-800, then it'll take weeks to learn. I had to buy the entire adobe suite, which cost me almost $2,000. It's not an easy program to use!

I have a 15 year photography hobby background - with that comes a lot of photoshopping. Like Boston said, weeks is putting it lightly.

It took me 3 weeks to learn the basics. I attempted to do what Klink did, and it didn't look right.

Yeah, that is the main reason I have never experimented with photoshop. #1. the cost (it would only be used as a hobby and very little) and #2. It takes many hours of tinkering to get good at.

Klink - You did an excellent job with those colors. I like how one of the Rubicons has the white letters and the other has the black - I think I prefer the black lettering over the white, but both look good IMO.

Does anyone know how the Rubicon sticker color works? White or Black and is it based on the body color?

Thanks for all the work Klink. Not to give you more but these are from the Half Door Heaven Thread. These might be less tampered with

It's a lot easier to do with colored vehicles - silver or white or black would take a while to overlay a color.

I was looking for half doors with the wheels he had on his original pic - not a lot in that category.

There's "other ways" of getting adobe photoshop..... *cough torrent cough* lol i played with it a few years back. very interesting program, i was able to do a few pics back then, but probably only a fraction of what Klink knows.

I think with the rubi stickers if its a dark color its usually white if its a lighter colors its usually darker. only option if you wanted a special color rubicon sticker would be to get some costom ordered from a shop

No worries, just trying to help. Thanks for the heads up on black, white & silver being difficult to Photoshop to another color. I'll keep that in mind for my future Photoshop requests

Man! I am in love with granite crystal. I was having second thoughts about having to wait, but Klink's photoshop pics have furthered my love for granite... I personally like the subtle difference in color between the black accessories and granite paint color. Cannot wait to order!

Amen, Sucker Punch. I've been trying to convince myself to like Anvil enough to order it but seeing the mockup of Granite Crystal with the polished aluminum wheels makes me want to wait. I think I would like Anvil enough in the short term but would grow tired of it and I plan on keeping my JKU for at least 10 years unless I have lots of trouble with it. Plus gives me more time to save up $ for more mods.

Please leave Anvil for the people who truly love the color.

Anvil does not need the "wham bam, thank you ma'am" reputation. :P
