Officially 2 months since I ordered my Hydro Blue Polar Unlimited. Dealer finally looked further into it and said I am still D1 scheduled and they have no further information. But there is a similarly equipped Jeep coming except with the 730N radio instead of 430N. I've read the threads on the radio and felt the 430N was better and cheaper. But I don't want to wait another month or more. Heading to the mountains in a few weeks and the wife's Prius just doesn't do well there.

Did you order this Jeep to be built or was it ordered in the sense that your dealer found it at another dealer and now they have it? Because if it was ordered and built in that time I have two things to say: Lucky and Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn!

Haha.. I remember having a bag phone at work. I was soooo cool.

I get a bit nostalgic for my old Jeeps too. My YJ wasn't anything special. A 4-cylinder with 31s and polished wheels. But it was my first. You never forget your first.

My JKU is scheduled to arrive at the dealer on Thursday, but I got the dealer to check today and it is in-town at the rail yard in Kansas City, KS . Just so happens this is a switching yard, so it may still be Thursday (but maybe not). On the other hand, my tires/wheels are coming by truck from Boone, NC and got delayed by the wintery weather between here and there. Still should be at the dealer by Wed for that install. excitement excitement.

Correct.

They do not run based on color. I have never been able to find out how they decide what to run.

Well, I called IAMJEEP again today to see if they could tell me anything about my VON. I'm in week 3 and still no email from Jeep or VIN. They actually called my dealer for me to see what was up. The person from IAMJEEP was very friendly, but not helpful in the end. Basically said "the order is in" and to call back on Friday to check if there are any updates.

So, to ease my frustration, I just picked up a lightning deal for $75 on a Cobra 75WXST CB that is going to come from santa via Amazon. Happy yuletide. Now I need to figure out what the CB handle is going to be...

I changed my specs for 4.10's to 3.73's, and now there is availability in town. I may get what I want a lot sooner.

Rubicon Unlimited
5 speed automatic (still not sure I made the right choice here)
Connectivity Group
Max Tow Package
3.73
Hard top (Canadian Winters are cold, windchill today is -40C/-40F)
Air, Remote Start, Heated front seats
430N
Billet Metallic (would've gone dark blue if it was an option)

I don't think I'll be putting on anything bigger than 32 or 33's, so the 3.73 should be just fine.

Here are my new shoes. 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers with Moto Metal 909 17" wheels. She's a beauty. Had an issue with one of my lug bolts. It was striped and I couldn't take it off. Had to put the lift on with one tire on. The dealer is fixing it but won't get the bolt till tomorrow so she is staying the night there. Not happy as this is her first night away from home. Think I'll take my shotgun up there later to keep those fast hands off her. Lol

For those still waiting, hang in there, the wait is painful but you'll forget all about it once it arrives. She you all around the forums.

I probably missed it in a previous page, but what lift (brand and size) did you go with? Also, how much backspacing do those wheels have? Everything looks awesome!

I'm hearing rumors I might get mine as early as the end of this week. Now, for the sake of my sanity, I must forget I heard that....

Thanks. Since it's just a spacer lift I went with the 2.5 Rough Country with extensions, $179 I believe. 14 JK with those tires and wheels set me back a few coins, so went the cheap route. Will get a suspension lift down to road. Wheels have 4.53 backspace.

2014 Unlimited Rubicon

Received a text from my salesman that my Jeep was dropped off by the truck carrier sometime Sunday evening December 8, 2013 . I went by at lunch to see her for the first time. Wow she is totally awesome
Salesman said they was changing out the rock rails and installing factory side steps and bug shield. She would be ready later this evening.
A jeep special ordered is well worth the wait. I want to thank Archer Ace and all of his co workers. She is awesome and took about 4 weeks from time of order until delivery. Way to go !

Does anyone have any factual evidence to confirm or refute that claim? My Anvil JKURX was ordered on 11-2 and processed on 11-11.
Yes, they are still sourcing parts when you are in D status. You hit D-1 when all the parts are available and that is when you actually get scheduled for build as well. That was partly the reason for the Sept delay for the X package, they didn't have the parts (hood and bumpers) yet. As for color, all colors are run at the same time and this has been verified by Archer who works in the plant. The best theory we have had here in this thread is that they batch like builds but anything you have read here about how they batch the builds would only be speculation.

I just hit 600 but I haven't been working real hard to put miles on and haven't had much time to play. I only drive two miles to work and back every day, that and I have only had it for 3 weeks.

Hey, thanks!!!

No, I don't work for Jeep. I am just WAAAAAAYYYYY too addicted.

We ordered our 2013 last year and I lived through Mike waiting for it to come in. Then once I decided I wanted one of my own, I haunted the 2014 information thread from the day it started. Once they opened this thread I lurked from day one and read and learned everything I could, so I'd know what to expect myself when it was my turn.

I've spent way too many hours reading and posting here than probably 90% of the normal users. My son says wranglerforum is MY Facebook.

If I can help someone by posting about what I've learned or experienced, that makes me feel good. There are so many great people here that always have time to answer a question or lend a hand that I try my best to pay it forward.
