I just remembered back in 2010 just before I bought my JKU I was looking at a nice color called Dark Charcoal.

Just looked it up and the color code is AV. Granite Crystal is AU. And comparing the Charcoal Wrangler on google images side by side with the Granite Crystal on a Chrysler 300 they look extremely similar.

Hmmmm..... :-)

This.

Assorted bright colors, white, black, flat olive drab, flat desert tan, and flat dark earth.

The Blue Anvil color is supposed to be available in March. It's a light blue. Ni 2014 colors available yet.

Judging by the paint sample they've given. Royal blue actually looks more like cosmos blue than cosmos itself. Useless...

The colour farthest to the right is the actual cosmos blue in real life.

I wish they would bring back MANGO TANGO. A shame it got the updated interior, but not the new engine and transmissions of 2012+

Rescue Green was also an awesome color.

Actually copperhead seems pretty close to MT.

My wife loves Mango Tango and I think she will buy a 2014 Copperhead.

Yeah, that is a color that makes me regret not waiting another year before buying a Jeep! If I only knew the future!

I used to have a TJ in Patriot Blue. I LOVED that color! If they brought it back, I might look at buying a new one.

We will probably order it to make sure she gets that color. That means I can make daily stupid posts in the 2014 order waiting room!

Now that's funny!

It'll be interesting to see if Anvil really does make into 2014. My guess is that Jeep will eventually come out a real Robin's Egg Blue-ish color that closely resembles the Anvil auto show photos. They'd be crazy not to, now that they know how popular it really could be. Instead of the unfortunate plain Grey that everyone will soon be getting. Not that Grey is a bad color at all, it's just not what was expected by a lot of folks. Maybe the 2014 Hydro Blue will be close to Blue-Grey?

Here are both unconfirmed color sample list together, one more time.

At what time of year does Jeep usually confirm the colors for the following model year? I was about to order my first ever Wrangler in Billet but liked the look of Granite Crystal. I went to my local dealer & saw a 2013 Challenger in Granite Crystal and it is VERY dark though, almost black looking at night. Can someone photoshop a JKU Sahara in Granite Crystal?

Hi

It is a shame that Wrangler do not come in any dark green "military look" color. Has Jeep forgotten its heritage.

I will not buy a new Wrangler until it comes in a dark green color.

I have the Black forest green but it is 95% black, but I still love my 2 door wrangler.

They need to make a "Willy's Green", flat and all, just like this:

Tim, do you mean 'Plum Crazy' purple? Here it is on the 2014 samples of possible colors.

So far the 2013 color list is holding true with Dune, Anvil, and Rugged Brown being spot on accurate, colorwise, from being shown first on the list months ago. The only wavering color left for '13 is Floyd. If it's going to show up on any '13 JK's, they'll hopefully get to sprayin' some paint very soon. The overly drawn out 10A release may have derailed Floyd's timeline for this model year, I don't know. Time will soon tell!

I'm hoping that this color thread provides the "powers that be" at Jeep, if they are watching, some useful feedback and "wants" from real Jeepers, regarding future colors. DiscoBayJoe's wish for a flat "Willy's Green", is a perfect example.

Pat already said Floyd is not happening. He did say however that Flame Red has returned already.

Yeah, I read that too. It'll be interesting to witness the difference between what's been conveniently disseminated publicly, and what Jeep actually does with Floyd. Jeep as we know, is really good at diversion and secrets when they want to be. Just look at how well the recent Easter Jeep Safari concepts were kept under wraps, until the unveil. Also, since Rock Lobster didn't quickly crawl off the dealers lots when it was introduced, it's a smart and safe move by Jeep to have Flame Red available again.

Chances are that's because they weren't built in Chrysler HQ or a known Chrysler building/plant. Most are done elsewhere to avoid any outside interference and then they are trucked into Chrysler HQ and right into the design dome.

A guy that spent 20+ years at Mopar and helped design some of the concepts from 2-3 years ago talked about how they built them in Canada, and then couldn't get them thru customs to get to Moab. It's pretty wild stuff.

Wow Pat, that is some interesting and wild stuff. I wonder if that fiasco is one of the reasons why Canada is now getting the short end of the 10A allotment stick? Just kidding!

Just saw a 10A in Anvil. Looked ok but sitting at a light on the way home counted 17 grey, silver, platinum, billet, etc. etc. decided to accept my Dune Rubi on order.

One of the Moab concepts this year had a Detroit zip code in the call letters. I think it was the Gray One, maybe called Recon or something. Should've had a Toledo zip....just sayin' is all.

Mopar had some off-the-chain colors. We nicknamed the Plum Crazy color, "Statutory Grape"

I'm hoping the Bright Amber proves to be closer to the TJ's Solar Yellow. Baby OTW, so the TJ will have to be traded on a JKU. Dozer is (was?) too orange for my taste. Wouldn't mind used, but wouldn't consider 07-11 either (3.8). If the '14 turns out to be what rumors are, I may make baby ride in the back of the TJ until I can get ordered and delivered. Granite Crystal or Copperhead might be backups, but so might an FJ...nah!

If Jeep is listening to this forum, I am waiting for Surf Blue, baby! A metallic orange or amber could be interesting, too. I looked at Orange Crush - what a disappointment. Looked more like tortilla soup - I was expecting a metallic translucent orange color like the soda pop. I like colors with some depth, and the metallic colors seem to last longer in the sun.
