2014 JK w/730N- No EVIC or access to personal settings?

So I have new Rubi with the 730N (Expensive Nav I really didn't want). How do I access the the person setting for this rig. There are no steering wheel buttons. My dealer is stumped and I called Jeep and they are researching. So I pay $1800 for a bad GPS with a poor sound system plus I go back to 1981 with no person settings? Help! Jeep has sent the question off to technical to answer.

I do have the basic EVIC info. DTE, MPG, temp but no access to the other info or access to setting personal settings. I hate the horn blowing every time you lock it. I light flash is enough.

On my Rubicon I can cycle through and turn things on and off in the EVIC. There are only two arrows to cycle through them down and right (I think). I can turn the horn off on unlocking and turn on/off the navigation...etc..

I am assuming you have tried this?

The advanced EVIC with personal settings comes with the connectivity option package. (Not the same as 'Uconnect')

I can't imagine putting the 730n head unit in without it, but, maybe you don't have connectivity?

I might not have connectivity. Dealer thought it wasn't there when he delivered the rig. But then my Iphone sync'd right up and he said it did have it. I was able to turn the horn off using the old school programming with the remote. Yes I got the 1800 boat anchor Nav but it doesn't have the connectivity. Not sure who was the genius that didn't make that part of the package or there is even a way to figure it out on your own what exactly you need. Typical half ass Mopar program. Almost got it right. Not sure how you buy a loaded rig with most complicated stereo know to man kind and not have
any personal settings. The Nav is totally inferior to my $149 TOM TOM wiht traffic and Alpine should be embarressed for putting there name on this system or the cheap speakers!

sorry to hijack your post. I have connectivity package and I could access and scroll thru all the EVIC info: tire pressure, oil temp, mph, oil life and etc. But when I go to the personal setting menu, there nothing there. I can't change any setting or edit any features. Any ideas?

Thank you.

Owner's manual page 322. Covers alot about the EVIC.

I do not have it. But, I added a 730N to my '14 ran my own mic. The buttons on the back of the steering wheel control the settings of the radio.

You need the connectivity group which gives you steering wheel buttons.

Look at your sticker and see if the "connectivity group" is on it....

NVM i figured it out. The jeep has to be in park in order to change settings. Shouldn't be playing with it while driving
