Question 2014 JKRX - Radio Antenna 130/430/730?

I noticed in the brochure they show my Rubicon X passenger side with no antenna on the fender. Is there a different spot for the AM/FM antenna with the 430 and 730 radios? I would have thought drilling holes in the fender and running cables and large metal parts would be more trouble then it is worth, and why wouldn't they keep all the antennas the same? Wasn't expecting the antenna on the fender, but didn't want a large screen or NAV either.

It's not in that picture as it distracts you from the Look of the Jeep. Kinda like when you see ALL the windows blacked out in some ads, pics etc. all the antennas are in the same spot no matter which radio you have.

They arrive at the dealer without the antenna attached. The dealer screws on the antenna.

If that's true, that would explain things...

Yes, but in the brochures there isn't even a mount on the fender.

Here's a life lesson for you, brochures are notoriously inaccurate, for any product. Their purpose is to get your attention, not to be a detailed spec sheet.

Take a look at this thread and see some real life Rubicon X's. 2014 Rubicon X Thread
