2014 or 2015? Good Pricing? Buying tomorrow

Hi all:

Been a while since I've been on the forum (back in 2006 when I had my last Jeep). I just took a job and moved from TN to upstate New York so my 14 Lexus (rear wheel drive) isn't going to cut it. I have been searching for an unlimited Wrangler for about a month and have found 2 (different dealers) that I think are pretty good deals. Nonetheless, I'd like your feedback on differences in models/and if the pricing is competitive.

Jeep One: 2014 Sahara Unlimited (Anvil in color) MSRP $39,100, Final Cost $34,600

Jeep Two: 2015 Sahara Unlimited (Black in color) MSRP $39,100, Final Cost $35,900

Are these discounts competitive with other parts of the country? I know in TN, I looked at a few dealerships and no one wanted to discount the MSRP, one even charged a $1800 "Southeast Market Adjustment"

Second, any considerable changes for the 15 that make it better? Other than increased resale value as it's a year newer?

Making my decision tomorrow! Excited but want to make the right buy.

I'd get the 2015 for the sound system alone. I listened to the new 2015 sound system today. And it rocks over the older setup. Besides, you're a model year newer.

You should be able to get about $3800-$4000 off on either

I really like the Anvil color but I think you made the right choice. Year newer and better sound makes sense. You must be one of those "sensible" folks..

Congrats. That was the right choice. $1500 is worth it if the vehicles are identical.

I just picked up a 2015 Black Sahara unlimited as well.. Great choice! I also was teetering between Anvil and Black and they only had the Black in stock in the 2015 model year and 6 speed so I went that route. I am happy with it..

Only thing different is I have the soft top.. I think I'll want the hardtop come winter so I'll have to source one.

Good luck!

Congrats on your purchase as well! Hardtop was a must for me as everyone tells me it's a priority for winters up here.

Sry but i don't get it, how can you purchase a 2015 model ... We are in 2014 ???

I just bought a new 2d jk... How the heck do i know if it is 2014 or 2015?
Also the dealer said there are no new things implemented next year, so what is this "new sound system" on the 2015 model?

Ty
