2014 Rubi X arrived

Well I waited 12 weeks after order date for my 2 door Rubicon X. I got all the options less the duel climate A/C option and the painted top and fenders (I like the two tone look better) She arrived this weekend and I installed my winch (Superwinch 9500 Tiger Shark) I also installed my own version of a leveling kit since I am going to stick with the stock wheels and tires. In the front I put a 1" and a 1/2" TeraFlex spacer stacked = 1 1/2" in the rear I installed a TeraFlex 1/2" rear spacer (total lift 1 1/2" in front 1/2" in rear) Also I installed JKS 0-2" adjustable sway bar links after leveling.

Note- You can see the factory rake in the one pic the other has the leveling done as stated.

I am pleased with the Jeep so far, now some break in miles some service work after break oil change/ rear end oils and all should be good to go.

Take Care All,
Bill G77

Great looking jeep. Although I am on week 4 of my x wait, and if I have to wait another 8 weeks to get mine, I might be canceling my order and waiting to see if anything will be added to the 2015's before reordering.

How was the fitment and the install of the Superwinch? Which plate did you use?

It was pretty much a breeze not my first winch install. I used the Maximus 3 winch plate with the centering bumper plate. This centers the fair head to the bumper but you have to cut the slot wider in the factory bumper (pretty straight forward with the included instructions) All this allows you to keep the winch to the left side clearing the little pump next to the drivers side inside frame and keeps you from having to relocate it. Also centering the winch roller and cable keeps you from having to trim the small mounting tab on the frame that holds that little pump inside the frame on the drivers side ( The little tab mentioned only needs to be trimmed if the winch is mounted offset to the right side to match factory slot in bumper ( Winch plate has two mounting positions)

Note = In the pic you can see the pump on the right side of the winch.

The Superwinch 9500 Tiger Shark was a great choice for this application

Take Care,
