Can someone here point me in the direction of a write up and/or video of a winch install in our X bumper? I have a Warn 9.5 cti that I haven't installed yet. I have everything I need from Maximus 3, now I just need to do it.
I went out and looked at the bumper tonight, anyone know how many bolts have to come out to get the bumper off? I was hoping someone made a video of removing the bumper and doing the big parts of the winch install because this is the first time I will be doing a mod of this type and am a bit of a newb but want to do it myself.

So I picked up my X yesterday. The salesman told me the kit was in the center console. I had already been in the car and knew he was referring to the grab handles and coat hangar. When I told him to talk to parts, he went to his manager and came back and said I was wrong. Even the finance guy (an avid jeep owner) had no idea. I again told the salesman to go to parts. About 20 minutes later he came back with the box and apologized.
The best place to show them is on the website, on your specific vehicle, under "options". While it's not that big of a deal, the want every dollar from me, I'm happy to get every dollar back.
When My RubiX was supposed to go straight to AEV after MFG... I was told that my rock rails would be trimmed and painted when they do the install. I'm curious to see how yours turns out. I plan to do mine in a couple months.
can you run 33s on the stock wheels on the x without a lift? and in theory would gas mileage be better with 33s on the highway because rpms would be lower?
Just ordered my X about 2 weeks ago. I was planning on a AEV 2.5 lift but I saw this thread about only getting about an inch with from a 10A. Does the Rubi X have "taller" springs like the 10A? The thread is here: http://www.wranglerforum.com/f274/aev-dualsport-xt-2-5-lift-627066.html
I installed 3.5" MetalCloak lift. The GameChanger lift actually moved my rear axil back 1” centering my wheels/tires (35’s) perfectlay in the center of wheel-well.
I ordered up a Rubi X and the system let it proceed with the copperhead paint. Just waiting to see if it clears into production now! Then it's time for the AEV upgrades!
I am new to the site and just bought a black unlimited X. Thanks for the info on the trail kit, I called parts this morning and they have mine for me to pick up....would not have known about it.
I went to build a JKURX on the website just now and looks like black hard top isn't an option anymore... Unless my comp is glitching or something. Can anyone confirm?
I was building a JKURX, white, max tow, 6spd., 130n, air bags, A/C.
I can confirm that the ordering system is now different as you said. Although the non-color matched hard top isn't there anymore, the dual top group option still is so that should be the same thing as right?
I decided its too close to 2015 MY release to build to order now.
Since the premium soft top is part of the X package and you want a hard black top doesn't that mean you need the dual top group? Or if you only select black hard top does that remove the premium soft top?
If the black hard top is selected, it removes the soft top. If I select dual top it adds both. I really hope this goes back to the way it was for during 2014 for the 2015 models. I really don't want a dual top if I am not going to use it. (No space to store either one when the other is in use)
If you read the documentation that came with it, you will see that you have to remove the metal bracket that holds the wiring in place and zip tie it on the side. I had to do that and the box went it without a problem.
I went into the dealership ready for all black on black...the copperhead was brought up at the last second as my preference..and what do you know! I am chomping at the bit for this.... I wonder why they released the color so late?
I called every Jeep dealer within 50 miles and no one has any of these in stock to check out. Considering trading in my 12 for a 4 door X. Any negatives I should know about in case one pops up? Wish the red leather was still an option.
I've read through this thread but I haven't seen an answer to the question of whether the springs are stiffer than the non-X Rubi to account for the added weight of the bumpers? If the same, does a stock X sit lower than a stock non-X?
Looks to me like there isn't much of a difference between the JKUR I bought in August last year and the X. Different bumpers, hood, red tow hooks, and the Rubicon lettering on the hood . . . though I am loving the hood and thinking about getting something similar for mine, the bumpers are one of the first things I started looking to change when I got my jeep and I am not into the red hooks either. Seriously though, we all have our own to modify and enjoy, and I am itching to start modifying!!
My Rubi X should arrive in a few weeks, in granite, auto, and 4.1. I won't be able to lift right away, but I would be able to swing for 33s on new wheels with better backspacing. Looking at 285 duratracs. I've read all the wheel/tire threads I could, and I believe I should have no rubbing if I keep the backspacing to 4.5", but have any of you run your unlifted rubi X with 33s with proper backspaces wheels? Any issues? Pics? Thanks for any thoughts!
You will be fine with 33s and 4.5" backspacing and no lift. Might I also suggest a simple and cheap leveling kit until you get your lift. It will give your Rubi a good looking and tough stance.
I was told by dealer this morning that the jeep is built and should arrive this week or next. Keeping fingers crossed for this week!
2 door X in Amp'd, manual trans, black hardtop, and Uconnect 430N.
Joined the Rubicon X club last night. This is my second jeep I sold my 98 wrangler last summer with the promise from my wife I could get a new one.
14 JKU rubicon X AMP'D
Had a one in anvil purchased but the other dealer sold it after they told my dealer they could have it. So ended up with AMP'D and now like it more than anvil.
Next step get my trail kit the dealer is supposed to get with parts today.

A local dealer told me today he couldn't order one.
I'm crushed. Is he mistaken or maybe trying to push me toward his inventory?
Does anyone know if ordering is still available for the X?
Thanks

I know some colors were closed, but you should still be able to get an X. I would check some other dealers and get a second opinion.
