We order a Rubicon but didn't know about the X package. Darn. I didn't see that on Jeep.com and just checked. How does one find out what in addition over the regular Rubicon? Our still is only scheduled for productions since we ordered it.

If I may.... I also want to congrat all the new X owners, you guys are getting heck of a Jeep! !!!! On the other hand, as a new 10A owner from 3 weeks ago, I too was sold by the limited edition factor and feeling of exclusivity..... knowing that the X is the same or darn close to the 10A, makes me feel very frustrated that the exclusivity I thought I had is simply non-existant.... so the exclusivity solely resides in the red leather I am now happy to have, and a few red hues here and there..... if only they would have also kept the anvil color a one off edition......

But hey... still genuinely happy for any new jeep owner.... for the record, I paid the price most Sahara owner paid last spring for my loaded 10A 3 weeks ago......

Ext Color Choices?

Has anyone come up with an official list of what exterior colors are allowed, and which are prohibited, when one orders the X package?

I know that the 10A was limited to just four exterior colors, and the rumor mill here has that Copperhead is prohibited on the X. Seems strange to me, that just one color would be locked out.

Well, unless Jeep is planning on a Y package later this year, that would be the X package but in an "exclusive" Copperhead color. :tomatoes:

Copperhead and hydro are the only two I have heard won't be on the X

I'm with some of the other 10 A owners. We were expecting, at least for a time, to have something different, even as a base to build off of. Not whining, just expecting that. The color should at least have been retired. Mine was under $40 k and yes I actually get off road and bang it around. This thing is a stock beast.

I'm not sure why most of the 10a owners are upset. When did jeep say or even hint at never using the paint , bumpers or hood ever again. It's a jeep it was never going to go up in value for being rare so let it go and enjoy a great jeep.

I don't get why a 10A owner would be bothered by the introduction of the X. Jeep makes more special editions than any car maker I am aware of, they are constantly coming out with something else.

I went with a regular Rubi before the 10A's came out. I thought they were cool and had just a smidge of regret thinking that I could have gotten a 10A instead. But I never for one second would have thought I was buying something uber-exclusive that would only last for a year given that Jeep does special editions like nobody's business.

You are so right.
Buy a Jeep special edition because you like it and you will be happy.
If you buy one for any other reason, you will be disappointed.
IMO, the 10A's and the X's are both really nice. Who cares that they have similarities, unless they overpaid because they believed the marketing hype.

I'm stationed over in Schweinfurt Germany. I just ordered a jeep wrangler x and all but one color came withe option of red leather seats. So I'm not sure what's your talking about that's the only difference?? I ordered it through the military exchange car sales. I got my fully loaded as a manual and it was only 35,000 and it has 7 year 75,000 miles b to b. He called me the other day and said I got my factory order number. I have red leather seats.
