NICE! I can exit my brief "depression" now. Four Jeepless months has been long enough.

It came down as a sahara with matching top and flares. A good amount of metallic, just like silver. Its no red, but its nice.

I'd like to see it as a sport with black top and flares.

We seem to be getting a lot of dark colors. Certainly a change from the "bag of skittles" we offered last year.

If one does come down with black top and fenders please let us know if there is much of a contrast or if the granite just kind of blends in with the black. That is if you get a chance to take the time to do so. Thanks!!

Yes.

I believe this is covered in the User Guide on jeep.com.

Any idea when pictures will be allowed?

Color Codes - Ditzler PPG 927563 Cross-Reference

keep in mind that the clear can change the color, the base coat does cross refrence with bright amber though.

Sadly from me, never. I'm not in any way "official Chrysler". I'm just a peon (pee on more like it) that works here. Company policy is no pics, so I have to follow it.

I'm sure it will offer contrast. It was sitting off line next to a black rubicon. Under the florescent lights, next to the black Jeep, I can see how people are saying it has a Rugged Brown sort of copper look to it.

It's like all of Jeeps current color offerings. They all appear to have a different hue under different lighting conditions. I'd really like to see AMPd and Granite outdoors in natural light.

Awesome news Archer! Definitely wouldn't want you to jeopardize your job over a photo, but man it would be super cool to see granite on a Jeep. Then again, if it is anything like anvil then a picture is not likely to do it justice.

Freaking great news!

Since the sun was out yesterday, I went by the dealership last night to look at the Granite GC with a little light on it. Granted the Granite was parked tight between two black ones, and in the evening sun it was a challenge to get good light on it, but I was able to get some different angles. It will change colors on you depending on the sun which explains why some pics online have a slight brown/copper tint and others are stone cold steel gray. IMHO it's going to be awesome!

Agreed! It will definitely look different in different light. It's gonna be an awesome color. Hopefully it will be a short run and there won't be too many of them rolling around

That's what I was hoping with Anvil... seems to be pretty popular on the forum. Hoping granite will take over... lol

Picked up mine yesterday...as far as I can see the only visible difference from the 13s is the clear front signals.

In other news, the first amp ran today. Its a 10x. If you like gold and black, this ones for you.
Thanks for the Amp'd update, now I may have to rethink the 10x pkg. and I do hope the lights make it look more gold than yellow.....maybe???

I just received notice from a dealer that the Rubicon X package should be available to order the first week of September. Let's hope that is the case!

I wouldn't expect them to start running full blast right away. Normally they run a new color and then it's a week or so before they start coming steady. I'm sure they will have both of these cars in audit for the next few days while everyone and their brother reviews them.

AMP'd is just like the other other colors. From across the the floor it looked Dozer. Then when we got closer it was clearly a gold color. I'm sure it will look completely different under natural light. It was on a 10x package. The black accessories looked sweet with the gold.

We could possibly see 3 more special editions if there is enough time to add them to production.

Jeep monitors this forum and they don't release everything and every now and again they like to surprise us.
Hey Pat,

Any more info on the other three special editions or new color?? If you have info but can't share it yet, can you give us a date you can (i.e. Sept. 2nd).

Ok now i'm If looks like Dozer from afar, then i assume it has an orange hue which is awesome. My fear was it was going to be exactly like Inca Gold from the TJ's
