I know and it would be a good excuse for a road trip to Chicago. My local dealer has been pretty good to me though. If that changes this time around Pat will get my business for sure.

I may have missed it, but is the EVIC a standard feature or part of another package you have to add.

Same here... that definetly will change my choice now. i guess now its between copperhead and or Amped... since this is my first time ever owning a jeep it needs to be a bright vivid color.

Too bad its not that 2013 charger daytona blue....

$36,735 according to the dealer its 2% below invoice minus $200 no haggle pricing. Other dealerships in the area hate them.

TN has no state income tax so they get you w/ sales tax.

IowaRaider, where was that dealership located? I've came across a couple bad ones myself. One here near Iowa City that was exceptionally uninformed when I talked to them about a 2013 Sport S a couple of weeks ago. Combining the lack of knowledge with a pushy attitude and it equals no sale!

Same here! Now I'm anxious to see an actual photo of that Amp'd... and I imagine that will take a couple of months until some actually get built.

Those chips of new for 2014 JK paint colors look spot on compared to other models in the Chrysler family. If so, hydro blue looks like a fraction of one tint darker than cosmos blue.

Atlantic blue looks more like steel blue they had back at jk launch and Daytona blue has more of a purple hue in it. Electric blue found on 2008 Rams may be a closer indicator but it's my guess that hydro blue will fall somewhere between cosmos blue and deep water blue, both found on the JK wrangler.

Does anyone know of a good dealer in Columbus, OH?

I really want someone I can trust. The dealer needs to know as much as or more than I know about the vehicle they're selling me. Haven't been able to find one yet (and I haven't even owned a Jeep before - I'm a noob, so it should be easy to know more than I do!).

I'm really considering a drive to Pat... There are 2 problems with that:
•I have a trade in, so it'd be nice to know the trade deal before I drive all the way there in it. It's an older, modified car, so it's hard to value.
•The drive to Pat is roughly 6 hours for me, so taking it back to him for service, issues, etc. wouldn't be a great situation. I'm worried that my local dealers would snub me, if I took it to them after buying elsewhere.

My wife is even onboard with the idea of going out to see Pat, because she knows how important customer service is to me, and we can't find any quality service in Columbus (yet).

Any advice or recommendations?

Sorry - I know this is a bit off topic... It *is* for a 2014 order, though :-)

cmon august, cant wait to order copperhead

Does connectivty group for the sport s models include the new available EVIC?

or does the standard EVIC now give you the engine temp, speed etc readout?

This was the only reason why i was going with the connectivity group, will never use the stupid bluetooth and usb port.

When I build and price a wrangler with both options it does not show a discount, however, I think it's just a glitch and a discount will be reflected in the final price. Otherwise, Jeep would owe you a black hard top, a painted hard top and a premium soft top. We all know that's not going to happen.
Thanks Pat!

Madison Wisconsin, just went up to look at the Anvil color will never go back. Did drive a Rock Lobster while I was there as wanted to drive an automatic with 3.21 and that was the one he gave me keys to. It was way below E on the gas gauge so basically went around the block. I asked to drive an auto with 3.21 and he said "good luck you will have a hard time finding those"....other than every automatic on the lot it was tough
glad he could find one with no gas in it for me to drive and he did check the gas and said "should be plenty"

Iowa, the salesman sized you up as soon as you stepped foot on the dealership lot. When throughout this did you get the feeling that he didn't like you and didn't want you to be there? My advice to you, in order to avoid getting poor customer service, is to not go to the dealership unless you're ready to buy right then and there.

I know that may sound harsh but if you go there to kick tires, the sales people will know and you will get terrible service. The more time they have to spend with you means the less time they'll have to spend with someone who's ready to buy today.

If you can spend time doing research on the Internet, the. You can also find time to call in the dealership, ask a million and one questions to the sales specialist and then when you're ready to buy, poof! You go there and get it done!!

Happy jeep hunting buddy.

While I agree that time is money for a salesperson I never blew somebody off or was rude. Now that I'm a manager and do some training I always tell the salespeople to be different than the guy down the street. I have told them over and over to take the time, answer the questions and offer you their services in the future. Why? Because the guy down the street isn't going to and that customer will come back to you.

Car guys acting that way is part of the reason why we have such a crappy reputation. All of us car guys know you can purchase anywhere. And if Iowa drove 2 hours once, he might do it again had he been treated well.

True Pat, very true. That kind of training and care conditioning is what sets you apart from the other guys, not only as a sales manager, but also as a person. Customer service is what people buy and ultimately, people buy people.

I just registered today but I've been a lurker on these forums for a while. I've had a few bad experiences from associates who incorrectly sized me up and offered zero service, so consider me a bit burned. When I'm ready to buy, I make it ridiculously easy, painless and fast. Dare I say that the sales person even has fun?

Pat, can you keep me posted on what hydro blue looks like? I'll give my business to you.

I have a good friend that has been thinking about a Jeep. I'll bet he's test driven 20+ at several different dealers. He always calls to tell me and never once has mentioned rude or indifferent treatment.

I'm a little different, I don't even sit in most cars I buy, it's what I want and that's it.
I've been to one Jeep dealer for my JKUR purchase and we didn't even ask to open the doors. First time we sit in a JK will be when we own it.

Milous stated above what the color would be for Hydro Blue. Hydro Blue and Atlantic Blue also have the exact same color code. Milous was 100% correct on last years colors and also was the one who gave us the paint chips this year. If anyone knows what the color will be it is him.

So you should be able to take a look at any of the vehicles he stated above to see the color. Just as an FYI, copperhead is on 2013 Dodge Rams and the Granite Crystal is on the 2013 Chrysler 300 if you want to get a good look at those colors.

Thanks for all the great info.

They have the same primary paint code, PBJ. The atlantic blue had a secondary paint code that gave it its color: QBJ

Therefore, Atlantic blue (PBJ/QBJ) is NOT the same as Hydro Blue (PBJ). Sure the primary may be the same but the color ultimately will not.

I wasn't hard to size up. I really just wanted to see the color and move on as we had some things we wanted to do in the area. He could have walked away whey I said I just came to see the Anvil. It was outside so no need for any help.
In fact we were just going over to a Billet Wrangler that was parked next to a Grand Cherokee in Granite Crystal to see how those compared when he walked up. Wish there was a color between those 2.

I would guess about $1000. I sent a SRT 8 to LA in an enclosed trailer and it was $1200

Are you kidding? Having a digital readout of gauges you already have is more important than being able to listen to whatever is on your phone with no cables? I've had instrument digital readout capability on my last 2 out of three cars. It gets pointless pretty quick so if this your only reason for getting EVIC I'd save your money.

I was wondering if the hood decal on the Freedom Edition would look bad after awhile with rain and sun. We use to own a mustang and the stripes looked crappy.. sorta looked like rust spots.

Unless jeep added bluetooth streaming in 2013 my brothers 2012 Connectivity group packaged gecko doesnt do bluetooth audio streaming, even if it did he or I wouldnt use it. Im in the tech industry and understand what your saying about the novelty but now that they are unlocking oil/trans temperature that is a big deal to me, especially off roading.

I listen to Octane on sirius and Rush Limbaugh on FM and thats it. Dont use CD's or anything. If i didnt need my smart phone for work/email i would be the happiest man alive. I hate smartphones

Chrysler paint codes are sure confusing (sales codes/paint codes)... entering "PBJ" or "QBJ" into the system, they both come up as "Atlantic Blue Pearl Coat" as well as "Hydro Blue Pearl Coat".

Seriously?! If so, that's kind of a bummer. At any rate, thanks for clearing that up.
