The X package itself should be the same cost. The base price would be less on the JKJS72.

Thanks for the info, and I didn't know if the option price for a package like that would be the same for both styles.

Pat, would you guys do this as well if I end up not going with the X package?

You can jump on a metra train that would dump you about 2 miles from the dealership, but chances are I'd come to get you.

Now that's service! I checked into ghetto greyhound and I can get from PA to Chicago for $108, so it's a possibility.

Pat, I was going to ask, if i decide to buy from your dealership, could someone pick me up at the airport or train station? Like others here, i'll give the local dealerships the chance to meet your numbers. It might be less hassle for me if i needed any warranty work done. However, I 'm sure that most of them will have no clue about the Tread Lightly Program so a trip to Chicago is most likely in my future. My wife said it would be fun to take the train to Chicago Do you think the other dealers have advised their sales staff that the new colors can be ordered Sept. 11? Time to have a talk with them.

That was Charlie, on the MTA in Boston. He rode that train so long they made him the official spokesman!

You must be old too..........Kingston Trio, early 60's. You're right...you can ride forever on the streets of Boston. I was thinking Chicago......but you could probably disappear in Chicago also.

I was wondering if anyone would get it...

Not quite that old, sorry. My dad is a big Kingston Trio fan, so I grew up listening to Charlie. Couldn't believe Dropkick Murphy's did a cover of it, 'Skinhead on the MBTA'.

My kids even know who Charlie is. They got a kick out of seeing those posters when we took them to Boston a couple years ago.

I've never been to Chicago, but from what I've heard, you're probably right about getting lost forever there, too!

Ive been looking at the 34" super swamper ltb. They will fit on the Rubicon wheel. Pretty mich any tire around 10" wide. Imo.

this is about how I want to do a jeep, theres a lot here for the money figuring in labor also... and the mods done probably wont break the warrantee. at least the dealer will most likely stand behind the warrantee 100%

I'm from TX too I went to Chicago last year on a business trip. It was easy, flew in jumped on the train. Checked into the double tree. Had lunch on the roof of the hotel. Rented a mountain bike road up the beach 20 miles round trip. Fantastic city. It was 110 degrees in Dallas at the time and 86 degrees in Chicago. I didn't want to leave.

Be very careful with handguns in Illinois and especially Chicago. Illinois does not allow concealed carry and Illinois does not recognize ANY concealed carry permit from ANY other state. They catch you with a handgun in Illinois and again in Chicago especially, you're going to jail.

As usual, the only ones with the guns are the ones that shouldn't have them.

OK, so I have a couple of questions regarding the Rubicon X Package

1) The 4.10 axle ratio standard regardless of transmission on this package correct? I believe it is based on the wording for the package on the first page "A 4.10 axle ratio, front and rear, is also standard"

2) With the base radio package in the Rubicon X 24J will it come with a Sub woofer and Aux USB Port? I believe the Connectivity package comes with the 24J package which includes the Aux USB?

3) Deep Dint Sun screen is standard on the Rubicon correct? Asking because it is listed as an "Option" for the Rubicon on the first page.

Thanks in advance for any help

There is a guy on my local craigslist that is already selling his 2014 takeoff wheels and tires. They've got 100 miles on them.

1) From what I have read, 4.10 is standard with the MT, and 3.73 standard with the AT (4.10 optional with AT).

2) The X package should include both the sub and Aux USB.

3) I have the same question on this. For 2013 it appears that the tint was an option on the Rubicon, however it appears to be either included in the X Package, or standard on the 2014 Rubicon. I would like some confirmation on this as well.

You've got to be kidding.......can't carry a gun in Chicago? Then how can they have such a high murder rate? And what is this permit thing you speak of.....guess I'll get one at my gun store.

the new special edition Pat mentioned

just got an e-mail from a local dealer saying he heard rumors of a new "Willys" edition may be coming. What would a "Willys" look like? by the way he told me he has not heard anything about ordering the new colors.
