The red also makes red dot scopes and lasers that may target you a bit less effective.

A bit...

But they show up good on Granite. I'm hoping that Amp'd makes them either laugh or barf, so I can drive out of range.

I think Amp'd will put them in Awe, stopping them in their tracks

Agreed most will think that we had it plated in 24k gold like they do with their Mercedes in Saudi Arabia.

This is probably listed in this thread. I used the search function, couldn't find it. Used google, couldn't get a firm answer. What are the colors for 2014? I had my heart set on Crush or Commando Green. Can someone help? Thanks.

So I plan on ordering Granite come next week; however I am stuck on a few decisions and was hoping that a few of y'all could throw in your 2 cents.

1. JKU-Sarah or JKU-Rubicon? (not looking for a debate, just a suggestion based on my needs below).

I find myself not making it out to the trails as often and sticking more and more to the Daily Driver routine of town and about 10 mins everyday on a interstate to and from work. However I might be moving outta Florida to North Carolina (Charlotte or Raleigh area) and will have to deal with more interstate, but also more off-road opportunities. But overall it will be a DD and more on road than off.

2. Color matching components.

If I go with a Rubicon I will go black top and fenders with the Granite; however if I go with the Sarah I'm stuck with color fenders, so now do I go with a color top or black top with Granite ? Any suggestions on color scheme / flow.

3. 4.10 or 3.73 with a Rubicon?

I don't plan on going any higher than 35's max, however will most likely stick to 33's as I have on my current TJ for the past 13 years. I will be using the 5 speed auto.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

1) Go rubicon if your thinking of a sahara. spend the few extra bucks and grow into the rubicon. your style sounds like mine, a weekend wheeler that will thirst to do trails that only the rubicon can do that being said a base jeep is still an incredibly capable vehicle just to add everything that the rubicon has aftermarket is roughly 10grand or so.

2) GC will look good either way. IMPO i think granite will be able to pull of body color everything quite well and not look like it is too much .

3) 4.10's especially if you plan on running 35's.

4) save the manuals and get it in stick

Good Luck! next week cant come soon enough

I would say Sahara based on your uses. I had a Rubicon when I wheeled it more, but for the uses I have now (fire roads, beach, etc) I don't have a need for the lockers or the 4:1 transfer case, so I skipped the Rubi this time and got a Sahara. Definitely get 3.73's if you go Sahara. As for top, I think with Granite I could go either way, although I normally prefer the black top. I got the black top on mine because it might have been a bit too much Gecko for me, lol.

Get the rubicon. I made the mistake of getting a sahara when a Rubi would have cost only 2K more, but you get 10K+ in mods for it, all under warranty. Biggest mistake I made, and now trading in my 2012 to correct that mistake. As for gears, get the 4.10s. You'll thank yourself later, especially when you upgrade tires, which everyone does. Even with 33s the 4.10s are much better and you'll get better gas mileage, because you won't have to bury your foot in the loud pedal to keep it moving.

Colored stuff, thats up to you. For me, colored fenders are a nogo because they will get destroyed in NYC by scumbags who open their doors too wise, shopping carts, etc and on the trail, they get beat up very quickly. Colored top is a personal choice but I like the black top. Easier to maintain, one giant thing less to wax, and it's more resilient to pinstriping.

I would suggest an auto. It is tried and true, reliable, very stout, and is generally one of the best automatics on the market. It also allows you to control the gears, so any benefit the manual provides is quickly wiped away.

Plus, with the auto no worries about clutch damage in water/mud. My biggest fear.

Hey everyone this thread is amazing! I am interested in purchasing my first jeep wrangler and I have having a hard time trying to figure out what to get. Do we know when the Polar edition is coming out here in the states? I love the Hydro Blue color.

1) Now on our second Rubicon my lean would be there. But if really almost all DD/road the standard all seasons on the Sport S or Sahara will perform better on-road. Tires are less of a concern if planning to swap immediately.

2) If you like the black fender look have you considered a Sport S? Can be optioned up pretty nicely and still come in under the price of a Sahara. Go to: Jeep -Build & Price - Select Model

3) 4.10s
