Any update on this mysterious "PREMIUM SOUND AND LEATHER" package? I still have no idea what I was suckered into buying.
I got mine, and it is just "leather trimmed", as the only real leather is that which you touch when sitting on the seat. If you get a Rubicon, it won't say "Rubicon" on the seats, it will say "Jeep". Even Jeep Customer Service told me they would be full leather seats, and they definitely are not.
I posted earlier that I thought Premium Sound was just ok sound. Well, I have some explaining to do about that. This is the first vehicle I have had (in almost 40 years!) that has more than a radio in it. Now, I've heard some really nice sound systems in vehicles, but I'm just not someone who immediately thinks of putting CDs in a vehicle. I was riding around for a week before I realized I should throw some in the glove compartment. Well, compared to the sound I was getting from radio stations, the sound from a CD is pretty darn nice. You get it stock with a Rubicon (and I believe with a Sahara), so no need to buy Mopar Premium Sound and Leather for it if you're getting a Rubicon. In fact, I strongly suggest against buying Mopar Premium Sound and Leather. Once I get time, I'm filing a formal complaint about that package.
Congrats man! That is what I would imagine also. YOU win! Hopefully I win next week
**2014 JKU in GRANITE CRYSTAL ORDERED up here in the true north **
Sucker indeed, btw just got back from Nashville, love it there, country music, all music. Now I can get my telecasters and amps all in back and roll to the gigs in style. Looking forward to your order post, and it just blowing up in the forum next week. er'body rejoice
I know granite will rock, but the dealer says no worries if I don't like it and want to order a diff colour, as they'll sell this build in a heartbeat. funny thing ordering a vehicle colour you've never seen.
Just went to the web site and granite isn't anything what I thought. Instead of a gray color it looks more copper. Is that the correct color????
It's some stock crappy photo. I haven't even looked at it on my site. I know Panther will remember the debacle with Commando green. Don't ever judge a color by Jeeps horrible CGI/photoshopped pics or stock photos on a dealer website.
Awesome man! It's nice to see granite crystal on a build sheet! Hopefully I will be posting my build next week on the 2014 waiting room.
Nashville is a great place. Whether you like country music or not.
This was a good read too, mostly about Polar (also available in Billet and White) again and will be available overseas in 1st quarter of 2014 but still no mention of domestic availability. Also there was a section describing a 'Moparized' Rubicon with light bar and half doors being there as well.
Yeah, I'm thinking Mopar didn't know what they were buying either...
The leather is Katzkin, it is softer, nicer, and still falls under the same 3 year warranty as factory leather. I think it is dealer or vendor installed, not installed at the factory. I'm waiting to find out for sure. I don't order any stock Wranglers with it, I can install Katzkin here for less.
Hi Pat, I heard from Chrysler that it is in fact the Tuscany leather from Katzkin - for what it's worth.
Nice! Glad I could help . Those guys are great over there at Lou Fusz!

Looks like a good build, good call on the smokers group, never thought about it adding a 2nd outlet. going to be adding it to my build
does the smokers group add a second outlet or just the electric lighter element for the existing outlet? according to the build site it consists of a " cigar lighter and ashtray" which I interpret to mean the lighter lement and not another 12v outlet.
