I may post this in a new thread, but here goes....

The msrp/invoice of a 2013 2dr jeep wrangler equipped with a/c and the 3.73 is $24,480/$23,770 (includes destination). I've found few dealers that were willing to sell it between $20,400-$20,800.

Okay...here's my question...

What are the chances that a dealer will sell a 2014 for this price? I kinda like the anvil color...

Obviously the dealers on the forum will tell you best, but from what I understand there are no insentive from Chrysler to move the 2013 for the dealer, so the price they are giving you for the 13 is a good sign of how much they are making on the 14, that being said they may be willing to lose money on the Jeep but they will make it back up with the unit being sold. Nobody will sell you a Jeep if in the end they are paying you to take it. Will the dealer sell you it for the same price, maybe if you tell the GM you'll walk his dog everyday for a month, or if your a good negotiator.

not sure why no green yet, in fact I think CG for Jeep should be like black for any other brand!!! I mean c'mon, its a freakin' Jeep!!! Its the color that started it all!!! LOL but that's just me. Just glad I got mine when I did! Kinda happy that my '08 X blew up when it did now! Never thought I would say that!

As well it should.

If I had bought a 10A I'd be P****D.

They just took a one-off model that had something special about it, and would have had some fantastic value in the future, and they have now watered it down to being common. So now, the 10A will not be a special edition at all, and building it was 100% pointless.

Stupid stupid stupid move on Chrysler's part. If I owned a 10A Chrysler would be getting a letter in the mail from me.

Not to mention a lot of 10A models have that gross red leather interior. The Rubicon X would be a much better option and probably less money.

I'm not pissed as I'm really enjoying having mine for the summer. I didn't buy it as an investment, but rather as the package that offered all kinds of cool bits the other models didn't offer. I've owned plenty of "special edition" models over the last few years and I've learned that you are buying a complete package of cool bits rather than something that is going to be considered rare down the road.

Would I have preferred it if the special bits were limited to the 10A? Sure, but business logic says that if they are going to spend the time and money designing those parts that they will trickle down to other models eventually. Oh well. Going to enjoy mine rather than spend time being pissed off about it.

Was shopping for a Wrangler Unlimited in AZ this week. Dealer said he would give 6k off sticker on any Rubicon or Sahara. He would give the same discount for a new order but just for June. Good Deal? Curious now if this would be a 2014?

Are you kidding? EVERY car manufacturer has done things with so called "Special Editions" or halo models that were on the regular vehicles within a year or two. Anyone that bought a 10A as a collector investment is truly nave.

^Yeah, that is how all of the special editions are. What you are really paying for is the interior and a few stickers....and if you are lucky, a limited paint color.

But it is a bit of a bummer that the special editions didn't come until late in the model year, and then all of the options and colors were released right away.

Hopefully most everyone ordered their 10A's with red leather so that they stand out.

You really like to paint us 10A owners with a broad brush. Not all of us are like that, yet you continue to take a stab at us any chance you get. What are you so bitter about?

I don't want to start a insult match on here with you, because this thread is for US whom are interested in the 2014 models. i said once i'll say it again, and im sure you seen it the first

I was in that 10a thread when i first started really thinking of buying a wrangler 10a edition. After seeing the responses from quite a few of them, after i posted that i was looking for a good price for me. i was insulted because i didn't want to spend the sticker price or above like many others whom own that particular model did. basically they left a bad taste in my mouth and i don't care for them

If you'd like to go any further with this convo feel free to PM me, because i won't fill this thread with nonsense

Well 2013 ordering is closed, so I'd assume it's for a 2014 too...unless he doesn't know that.

I'd jump all over a 2014 Rubi for 6K off MSRP.

Another Update:

There will be a tire upgrade for Sports. IIRC black wheels with Rubicon tires.

Unless I missed them, are there going to be any significant upgrades to any part of the 14's ?

It appears there are many changes to purchasing options, but no real upgrades ,that I have seen.

This.

Had a '01 Bullitt Mustang, same thing. "Unique" parts showed up on lesser or other models in no time.

No automaker is going to tool up to produce a hood for just a couple thousand units.....

As a Rubicon 10A owner, I paid exactly 3K more than the exact same spec'd regular Rubicon ordered. I cancelled my regular Rubicon order for 10A for the red seats, hood and bumpers, i did the math and to get AEV hood, and bumpers were 3K alone to purchase. So it made sense for me. I got $4,200 OFF of MSRP.i felt this would be my last Jeep, its what I wanted and feel good about it. If I would have known the hood, bumpers were going to be available 3 months down the road maybe I would have waited. But I had no clue. From a business standpoint it makes sense for Jeep, might not be popular for some, but decisions is on sales, bottom line and on percentages. I am sure this Rubi X will be significantly higher than a regular Rubi, maybe even close to what I paid, if its at a much lower price then I will have some bitterness to overcome. But life will go on. I absolutely love our Jeep. Looking out over that hood is awesome to say the least. And I advise ANYONE that is getting a 2014 Rubi, to try and get the model with the Rubi X! You wont be the only one on the block to have one, but you will have one. And ultimately thats what should matter if you are happy with the vehicle. Even if its a wrangler sport or a Rubi X you guys/ gals order, congratulations and welcome aboard. Now if they offer a bright detonator yellow Rubi X, I will have to buy a second one for the wife, LOL we settled on billet for her in place of yellow because it was not available. Now the hard part for you ordering ??? What color, what options, whats the best price, etc. good luck on it. But thats half of the fun, is the anticipation !! Good Luck to all.

Pat, clarification for me please! Will all Sports have the upgraded? Is this standard or a option??? I ordered a 23B yesterday and there was no option to choose upgraded tires. Thanks.
