You are correct...$80, not $90....even better.

Gotta love the instructions for the hitch!

Here are the instructions for the harness...not too bad. Oh, and it is two screws...not four...even easier! (I think I was doing tail light guards as the same time)

They should, unless Jeep engineers decided to start changing up where things get bolted, which is doubtful.

If you go to Jeep.com and build and price a Wrangler, the Sport S now included the option to add "MOPAR Premium sound & Leather", not available a week ago. Also, the flame red is listed as a color option

I wonder if Jeep will just get rid of the Sahara?

I always thought Jeep should get rid of all models, and offer the options ala carte.

Oh....and Jeep....offer an optional FRONT locker. (And it would be nice if you offered a better LSD than Trac-Lok).

I would love a factory selectable front locker with LSD in the rear.

Sounds like the floor mats would not work as the new ones have 2 hooks. Other than that looks like everything should fit.

As soon as the Saharas were available in colors other than Green or Tan they jumped the shark with me. I liked it as a package, but as a full trim line they need to do something else. Everything should be available ala carte, but I do like the packages from the past.

The Mopar premium sound and leather is the Katzkin package...now coupled with the premium sound package for Sports. It is available on the Sahara and Rubi as well (minus the premium sound pricing).

Funny...back in the day (like 18 months ago for the early 2012's), standard leather for a Sahara/Rubi was $900, and the Katzkin option was around $1200 I think.

I think it sucks you need to add the premium sound and leather to the Sport to get heated seats totally not worth $2700

There is a Mopar heated seat kit available that should be well under $500 installed. IIRC, the switches are not the same as factory and won't be in the factory position.

Me, being the idiot that I am, finally figured out what IIRC means. I was always thinking it was a forum member. The light finally went on.

Pat, is there something else included in the $2,700 Katzkin Leather Package besides heated seats and premium sound? Package price is about $850 higher compared to the individual prices:

Katzkin: $1,200 (dealer-installed price)
Heated Seats: 250
Premium Sound: 395
total: $1,845

I think you are thinking of the extra 12V outlet in the sub enclosure.

The 115V outlet is "usually" connected to factory heated seats with some type of leather when talking about models outside of the Sahara or Rubi.

You're right, my bad. I just checked the price of the 12V outlet and it was a $100 option in 2012. So, the Katzkin package is still about $750 overpriced.

2014 color renderings

I found an online tool that lets you change a vehicles color, but I had to adjust the top and fender colors in PS because they were very "light blue"

Anyway, here are some renderings of what the new colors should look like on a jeep. They likely won't be 100% accurate, so take them with a grain of salt.

EDIT: WHEELS DO NOT REPRESENT ANY STOCK OPTION - THEY ARE AN AFTERMARKET WHEEL!

I am basing the colors off of the color chip provided by Milous, as well as photos of the actual paint color on other vehicles via google image search.

Here goes...

Amped

Copperhead

Granite Crystal

Hydro Blue

Again - I'm basing these off of color sample and photos of the ACTUAL paint on other vehicles, not off of hopes prayers and wishes. They may not look like this come production, I'm just trying to create a logical rendering. Every color will vary based on lighting and shade as well.

Enjoy!

Yeah, I have found that there are a lot of occasions were Jeep's pricing does not make a lot of sense. (Like the Rubi 4 door max tow pricing).

On the Sahara/Rubi, the Katzkin option is $2000, and those already come with the Premum sound system and 115V outlet. If you want Katzkins on your Sahara/Rubi, simply order the $250 heated seats from the factory, and have your dealer install Katzkins. You would save yourself about $500 and would have a lot more choices in color.

It is just another one of those situations where an informed buyer should look at all options accross all models and compare all pricing.

Is this "Rubicon X" simply an option package, or does it represent a second Rubicon model with fundamental differences?

Do we have the specs/features on the Rubicon X? I tried searching and didn't see them.
