Is this a "dealer line" of crap? lol. I asked for EP at first and one dealer came back with 1% off invoice and the above "line". I e-mailed him back asking for 3.5% off invoice.

Thoughts?
I don't think you will routinely see EP without a control number. I have heard of a few instances when dealers have procured them for customers, but to my knowledge it's against the rules when it comes to reimbursement. I wouldn't be surprised if a few will quote it without signing paperwork, for you only to find out something different come signing. Dealers here are very careful to check out your control number to be sure they will get reimbursed.

I do think that 2% is possible if you know what you want and are willing to order. You can also look into some of the buying programs, if you qualify for them, to get more of a discount.

I knew I wasn't going to get employee pricing, but I wanted to start somewhere and then end in the middle at 2-2.5% off of invoice.

Ultimately, you're talking about a difference of maybe $400, give it take. When they don't go any lower, ask for slush mats, a t shirt, a hat, and a Jeep multi-tool or pocket knife. Offer to let them put a tire cover on the back with their dealer logo. Tell them you want the Warn Trail Kit or free oil changes. These things can add value for you and give them a chance to be flexible with their profits

I have seen a dealer near Flint Michigan that shows about 10% off MSRP on Wranglers on their web page. Not sure how, I have not tried to make contact with them.

I understand. Sometimes, I think it's better to be upfront about where you want to end up. That is what I've done when I've purchased GMAC, I lay it all out on the table. I know what I want, what warranty coverage, etc. and what is reasonable when I walk in the door. If they know it's reasonable then they are sometimes more willing to work to get a better interest rate, a lower price on a warranty, etc., whatever it takes to make that deal work.

Then again, sometimes not.

There's a dealer here in Mn showing prices with military rebate and Chrysler lease rebates applied. Very shady considering such a small portion of the population is able to qualify for both...

That's what literally every dealer does for their online site.

Yes, and most of them call it their "e-price." So it sounds like some special online deal. It IS, but only if you're eligible for all of the rebates. As noted, very few fill qualify for all of them at once.

I agree it's shady and it's a sneaky way to get you into the dealership.

The best way to get the lowest price is to follow the guidance in this thread. Which is: first get educated on the invoice pricing. Then, if you can't buy from Pat (we all wish we could), join Tread Lightly and then get the Chrysler Affiliate pricing. You can also try to negotiate lower from that number - folks here have reported that may work as well.

Hey Pat, Archer, or anyone that may know. Are there any statistics on how many JK's and JKU's are built with half doors? I know they are pretty uncommon and I was just curious.
Thanks

Okay so quick stupid questions that I've seen the answer to a hundred times but can't find of course when I'm actually starting to prepare my build sheet

A) What exactly does the auto temp on the A/C do? Is it worth 200?

B) I'm 99% sure connectivity is standard on the JKR but just wanna make sure.

C) Do any of the window packages include the deep sun tint windows (ie. the dual tops) or is it an option no matter what?

D) Is it possible to order heated seats in the JKR without the power convenience? Or is that necessary?

E) In the 2dr sport, is the anti spin differential not an option?

I think thats it.. I've been following this thread since April literally day by day and now that I'm actually making possible builds, of course I'm having all sorts of brain farts. Thanks guys

A) What exactly does the auto temp on the A/C do? Is it worth 200?It's like a thermostat for your house, you set it to Auto Fan/Auto Control and the Set the temp at 72deg (for IE) and it will cool or heat to that desired temp, works great with auto start

B) I'm 99% sure connectivity is standard on the JKR but just wanna make sure.No it is not standard with Rubicon, it is standard on all special editions, if you meant JKRX-as in Rubicon X

C) Do any of the window packages include the deep sun tint windows (ie. the dual tops) or is it an option no matter what? You have to be more specific about what you are wanting to buy, a Sahara yes, a Rubicon 2DR? No, they are not standard. but a Rubicon X built off a 2DR Rubicon then yes they are standard again

D) Is it possible to order heated seats in the JKR without the power convenience? Or is that necessary?
No, even if you get the MOPAR Leather & Sound it requires power, you could just order Katzkin covers from MOPAR from the dealer and heated seat could just be dealer installed as well
E) In the 2dr sport, is the anti spin differential not an option? Are you looking at a base Sport 2TB Pkg or a 2TS pkg

Thanks brotha, you literally answered all of my questions perfectly. As for E I would be ordering a base sport package and build off of it. Not sure the 2tb or the 2ts, I just know it wouldn't be the "S" model.

Also one other thing Ryan, what's the pricing for the connectivity on the 2dr rubicon? It's not listed in Pat's description on page one.

Thanks again

Edit: nevermind, found it! $495($441)

Ordering a base sports as well and LSD is not an option unless you step up to the S package just like deep tint windows

Trucks may not deliver to them on the weekends, but they do run out of the holding lot at the plant.

Good question. I went back and looked because I ordered the 3 piece hardtop also. I guess it depends on the definition. The Description reads:
Freedom Panel storage bag
Rear Window Defroster
Rear Window Wiper/Washer
Tinted Rear Quarter and Liftgate Window.

So is this regular tint, or is deep tint a specail order option with a specific package?

I either have horrible taste or I am freaking awesome for ordering half doors on a JKU Rubicon. I tend to believe the latter...

Looks like Jeep is in the process of updating their site. Amp'd & Granite Crystal have been added to the optional paint choices. All though at this time there is no color associated with those choices, the jeep just vanishes

Again you can't generalize an option, it's different depending on the package you select first.
For Example, a Sahara, no matter what it is, is always deep tint glass. But Deep Tint glass is NOT even available on a Base Sport, hard or soft top.

Also, fwiw, Tinted Rear Quarter and Liftgate Window does not equal Deep Tint Glass, which is what most people refer to as Tinted

They need to update the Amp'd color. When you click on it, the preview you get when building your vehicle does not look like Amp'd. The color swab and preview are completely different. If the preview was right, that would be the color I want instead of Copperhead.....which is what I ordered and there is still no mention of other than the brochure.

Hey Sucker I think your ride is gonna be off the charts cool.
The only thing I question is if I was to take a poll of your friends would they tell me your Freaking Awesome or the former. I bet I can guess what your wife would say. Neither right? I'm freaking awesome and my mom agrees and so does my woman but my friends say they have low standards. I thank God for low standards.

I think the half doors are cool and would be great as an alternate set. Weather in IL gets too nasty to run them on a DD. My opinion of course.

Totally agree -- I want to see an Amp'd Jeep in person, or at least a good photo of one from several angles. Pat has put a few up in this thread of the other colors... I'd love to see that of Amp'd.

Some questions on 2014 Rubicons:

1. Anyone know if you get a body color top, if you have to get body color fender flares as well?

2. Do you have to have leather seats to have heated seats?

3. Opinion: Bluetooth Connectivity group -- Yay or Nay? I use an aftermarket Stereo... thoughts?

Yeah, I totally understand and I'm sure I would get the full doors if I lived up north or had a long interstate commute to work.

My Jeep will be a DD, but I only live a mile from my office and hopefully plan on staying close to my office for the foreseeable future. It also is pretty warm weather here 8 to 9 months out of the year so the soft top and upper half doors are manageable for 3 to 4 months out of the year.

1. Anyone know if you get a body color top, if you have to get body color fender flares as well? No, but if you want the flares the top is required.

2. Do you have to have leather seats to have heated seats? No you can get heated cloth, I assume again on a Rubicon

3. Opinion: Bluetooth Connectivity group -- Yay or Nay? I use an aftermarket Stereo... thoughts?Yay, if nothing else you have a charging port in the center console.
