Anything is possible, and it isn't unusual for early information to end up not being accurate as things are are changed, but I find it hard to believe that Rubi's would have a different oil cooler and larger brake pads. I think that type of information would have been leaked. But, that is the risk of ordering early.

Factory cut pinch seams started a month after my Sahara was delivered...what can you do?

stopped by the dealer this morning and saw the GC in granite and I see what you mean. But after 3 black SUVS, I'm thinking of stepping out and making a drastic change with Granite. Ha ha

Baby steps.

If I read the group option below correctly, 2 door JKs can tow up to 2000lbs and the trailer option also has the trailer stability feature in the brake control software. I also see it listed as a standard option under functional/safety features which is confusing. There may be a bit of fine print missing from the standard features list like "when properly equipped". I also checked some recent build 2013s and the option is missing from standard options. So who knows. I believe trailer stability will include a yaw sensor that detects side to side movement caused by a trailer exerting pressure on the back-end of the vehicle. Why that would be included on JKs with non-towing is beyond me. THis sounds like a Milos question or someone for engineering. As I mentioned above my 2011 Edge has trailer towing and as I looked into a parts manual I discover there are part differences like brake pads, radiator size and probably software since I have the ability to disable the trailer sway control.

Trailer towing preparation includes: trailer hitch; Trailer stability program; 4-pin connector wiring; Class I Receiver Hitch; Weights: gross trailer weight braked (lbs): 2,000

The reason it's on JK's without the towing package is that it's part of the electronic stability control software that exists on all of them.

The stickers of more recent builds of JKs do not list trailer sway control as standard anymore. Again I suspect the trailer sway control is different (may be just software) from standard stability control

I had my sales manager print me a list of standard features on the 2014 JKUR that I ordered *without* max tow, and trailer sway dampening is included as standard.

From the Jeep site - Available (not standard) Trailer Sway Control+ works with Electronic Stability Control+ and the Antilock Brake System, alternating brake pressure to automatically correct oscillation in the vehicle trailer system. The Electronic Stability Control function lamp will flash when Trailer Sway Control is activated.

Trailer Sway Control benefits:
  • Reduces trailer sway
  • Improves handling in adverse towing conditions caused by crosswinds and traffic
  • Does not require any driver input
  • Automatically activates when needed

Interesting. It is still listed as standard in Pat's standard equipment pdf on the first post.

Wooo hooo first post! Quite informative thanks! Had financing approved and an order out for a 2013 jk sport but unfortunately they can't seem to find any anywhere and I am unable to order one from the factory as I am past the cutoff date. So now I am in waiting for a 2014!

How long does it normally take for the dealer to bring in the incentive when they price it just under the 20k mark? I know they usually start at 23ish and then move down eventually. Just wondering what the time frame for that wait is?!

Also no more Commando colour? Thought that one was pretty sweet!

I don't see anything that says max tow on a JKUR comes with any additional equipment other than what is listed for that option. Standard on the JKUR is:

NHA Engine Oil Cooler

Also, according to the Jeep engineering department, all Wranglers have Trailer Sway Control as it uses all the same sensors as the Electronic Stability Control.

Hey guys it's my first post here on wrangler forum, what a great place!

I'm up here in the frozen tundras of Canada and wondering if granite will be a colour option up here? Ordering only opened for us yesterday and info is limited!

So no different/additional cooler is listed for the 2014 JKR (2 Dr.) with Trailer Tow Group?
This came from the "Boss" behind the desk, that my "Internet Sales Manager" went to, when I said that I did not want the Trailer Tow Group.

So with my order placed, how long does it take before they assign a VIN and get the production rolling?
Thanks

When will the 2014's start showing up on the lot at the dealership? Do private orders show up faster than dealer orders? Or visa versa?

Crosstown in Edmonton said Granite was available when I called on Monday, but they had no prices listed so couldn't place an order.

For the people who have been to the dealership. Is the "Rubicon X" even available for order yet?

Not sure if this has been posted before but it seems like its building some credence that even though "Hydro Blue" and "Atlantic blue" share the same paint code, they may be different colors after all.

Just thought I'd share this with everyone, take it for what it's worth:

This has been up since February and they still haven't listed a swatch, so I'm not sure what I'm looking at? Lol

Yes - if Hydro Blue actually looks like the GM color of the same name (or even close) I will be all over that...

Last year they had two super bright colors (Crush/Gecko) and so far this year there looks like only one (Amp'd) so I still am hoping Hydro Blue ends up being that 2nd Skittle color this year...

Andy-RoOo, true, lol

Argent, right there with you. Really hoping Hydro is closer to "Cosmos" than "Surf", and different than the Crossfire, Libery and Ram "Atlantic Blue". If the blue is like the bright blue on the C7 corvette, I'm sold.

Can't believe there is no green in the color list. Keeping my fingers crossed for OD green.

Or alternately, bring back Rescue Green.
