Hey Pat or anyone who knows. Does every dealer have access to vinvision or is it only certain dealers. I am trying to get info on my shipped Jeep and my dealer says they can't find out any information until it shows up at the dealer.

Thanks

I am pretty sure it is part of Dealer Connect which all of them have.

I see you are being as patient as I am about when my X is supposed to arrive.

Pat,

I notice on the jeep site it list the Rubi X as a special edition, I know you said its planned for a year long run but have you heard if a version of it will be a permanent fixture... so basically you would yearly have a new Sport, Sahara, Rubicon, and then the Rubicon X?

Patient what is that ??? I was fine until I started hitting my delivery dates and it keeps moving. Now there is a rumor that my built wrangler is going to sit in Cleveland for a while so they can ship Cherokee's to dealers.

Wow, big news on a factory lift.

I'm not big into lifts, but getting one from the factory would really end any worries about a warranty.

Panthermark , i think you're reading this wrong. I believe Pat is saying the "lift" is not included. Perhaps he will clarify the whole post..

I took it as something that could be coming in the future. That would be big news if it is something that comes from the factory...or is at least part of the factory order. I would think that it would then become part of the factory warranty (hopefully).

It's the MOPAR Stage 1 2"lift (Dealer Installed) so I would assume it will only come with the MOPAR warranty at the dealer it was installed by....

?????????

Pat,

Do you know the invoice price of the Freedom upgrade? 5700/???? I can't seem to find it?

Freedom Package Pricing:

MSRP: $5700
Invoice: $5073

If looking at an automatic, don't forget to add the cost:

MSRP: $1295
Invoice: $1153

Thank you,
It's my wifes, we had to trade our 2012 sahara 2 door because we
just became grandparents and it would be a pain toss'n the kid in the back of the 2 door....lol
Ordered the wheels the day i ordered the jku and didn't tell her, the dealership agreed to put them on as part of deal, tpms etc.
They didn't and i had to buy tpms x5 and get them install myself... piss me off but the end result is worht it.

No prob with fit (tho pa law only allows up to 1/2 inch stick out of tires from fenders these stick out about 2 inches) the tire is only 1/2-1 inch taller than stock and because of the 4" backspace it needs longer bump stops on the back door, the setup is very light so not mandatory for her pavement queen

My dealer just happened to send me this pic last night. It has a 4" factory lift.

Dude, there is no 4" lift from the factory... Dealer installed? Most likely...

And that is what I'm curious about.

For instance, with Honda....many factory options are actually dealer installed (fog lights, rear spoilers, body kits, ect)....but carry the full Honda 3 year/36,000 mile warranty.

2014 Honda Accord Sedan - Warranty - Official Honda Site

I'm still trying to figure out the Mopar warranty. According to the warranty wording of the 2nd paragraph, I would think that if installed on a new vehicle by a deaelr, it would be part of the 3 year/36,000 mile warranty....but it seems like the Mopar warranty (or dealer warranty of some sort) is what we are all talking about.
http://www.mopar.com/assets/pdf/serv..._statement.pdf

Basially, if it is on the "build sheet", I would expect the full factory warranty...I don't care who installed it.

I've asked for more info and anything that is a "factory add-on" that the dealership actually installs is under the dealership warranty.

The dealers I've talked to all said the same thing. If we (the dealer) install it and its a MOPAR lift, we (That Dealer) will cover it under the MOPAR 12 month/12000 for lift parts/labor and will not consider it to void any other part under the 3yr/36000 chry warranty at this dealership. However, if you have an issue on the road and can't bring it to us, we (That dealer) can't assure you that other dealers will do the same.

Maybe Pat can comment on it officially? But, thats what I have been told.

Personally, I don't understand why the factory doesn't offer an option for a 1-2" lift and 33/34" tires, they would sell a ton of them and could make a killer profit!

A dealer by me was selling a 2dr JK with a dealer installed Mopar lift and AEV Pintlers with Duratracs.

It was brand new and they specifically said the lift was covered under warranty.

They didn't say "factory" warranty but I'm assuming you wouldn't have any problem with a voided warranty if it was purchased brand new with the dealer installed Mopar lift.

It's probably a gray area but I for one wouldn't have any problem with a brand new jeep with a dealer installed lift.

It is a grey area...but I think it is an important one.

This is a big difference between "1 year, free from defects" versus it being rolled into the 3yr/36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty and also no impacting the 5yr/50,000 mile powertrain warranty.

If the lift causes drive shaft issues or death wobble, I want to be able to go to any dealer 4 years and 40,000 miles later and have the drive shaft covered under the powertrain warranty...no questions asked.

I want it so that any dealer could run the VIN and see "76L - 2" Stage 1 Lift Kit w/Perf Shocks" on the build sheet, know that it was a "new" install, and treat it like it was stock equipment.

Hey y'all. I hvae not been here in a while, been spending my time in the waiting room. Any way, a while back there was someone in here looking to see an Amp;d in person in the central Texas area. I found one today at Mac Haik Jeep in Georgetown. Just giving the info in case that keeper is still looking. Carry on.

I saw that one Friday. It was facing I35 on the front row. Looked real nice.........regular JKUR with black fenders and top.
There is another one in Austin at Nyle Maxwell on fm 620......it has matching fenders and top. Personally, I like it better with the black fenders and top.
