For those asking how long from order to delivery there just isn't a clear answer. It can be as little as a few weeks for the folks near the factory up to a couple of months for those farther away, depending on parts availability and other factors. I live on the West Coast and it took 5 weeks. Since this is the start of 2014 all bets may be off. Best to check with dealers, but often they don't know for sure. Mine was way off on the too long side, maybe to cover themselves.

I already said that about 100 posts ago- that makes 2 votes for RG! Maybe with both of us wishing for it, Chrysler will make it happen

went to process my order on 6/11 for the 4dr sport and wanted the dual top, but the system made them also select 'hard top' for the addtl $995.. i am still waiting to hear back from them as to whether it is a 'glitch' (which we all think they are).. so i am not officially ordered. i think i am gonna love the hydro blue but am in need of a replacement jeep (was hit and rolled/totaled my tj two months ago). i went with anvil.

now what is the cost of the black wheels and 32s? that wasnt offered to me as a possible option.

When you rolled how did the roll cage hold up? Was it stock or reinforced? Have photos?

Same issue for me as well. That makes the dual top option close to 3k...

Sorry if this has been discussed already but does anyone know if the base Sport model will be coming with bigger wheels/tires in 2014 or are they sticking with the 16" steelies?

The cage was fine. Went around 1.25 times. Ended up laying on drivers door. Happened on my 40th birthday. Yeah, happy birthday to me

Hopefully the pics I attached show up.

Yikes! I'm glad you're okay! I'll stop complaining about the speeding ticket I got on my 24th birthday, ha!

The reason I asked is because the local 4WD shop guy told me that the stock roll cages are not rated for the full weight of the vehicle, i.e. upside down. He said I would be squashed like a pancake unless I had it reinforced.

At the bottom of the 1st post in this thread is a list of standard equipment (PDF, so you may not see it if you are mobile). Still on 16" steelies....

They fulfill the DoT requirements for roll over protection, they will support the weight of the vehicle, but add some speed to the roll over and the force increases a touch. Renforcement of the stock cage is not a bad idea, but not a total requirement either for the average guy.

Went to local dealer today and their dealerconnect was down. He said it was due to today being the last day to order the first allocation and the server was getting bogged down. I thought that was quick since it just opened up on the 11th. Is today really it for this month?

I was told that Friday is the last day. They can't close this quick because they have bugs in their ordering system. That's why mine isn't ordered yet

I am on mobile and thanks! I am heading into the dealer tonight to order my first ever Jeep Wrangler! Trying to keep payments as low as possible for now so grabbing the base sport model. I figure anything can be customized so i will just start at the bottom and slowly work my way up!

I just scored a great price and service ordering a 2014 JKUR from River Oaks Jeep in Houston. Looked like all the information and numbers posted here were pretty spot on. Thanks Pat for helping to make me an educated buyer!

You can go in and order at anytime. Dealer stock orders have to be placed this month between the 11th and 18th. To make certain your sold order is picked up in this allocation you should order by the 18th.

This is a glitch in the system per Pat. Once the factory receives the order they will fix it. My problem is I do not trust my dealer or their finance department enough to sign a paper $1k higher then I am going to pay. Wish we had honest dealers like Pat around who understood how things worked.

I'm just going to wait for the next allocation to purchase my JKU, hopefully the tire package will be available and the dual top will be fixed.

Been getting some good info on this forum, thought I should probably join as I am down to the details on a new JKU. Color is the hardest decision...hoping a couple "new" choices get released soon.

Just joined also! Awesome forum and this thread is great. Thanks to all for the great info and sharing here. Putting in an order soon. Using TL and negotiated another % off so looking pretty good there. Narrowed down to a JKU sport done up good or a Rubicon. Not sure if I'd justify the Rubi with the use it will typically get but they sure are nice. Prob will - plan to have this thing for a long time!

Big questions: Pat or anyone who knows - what are the details regarding the black rims and Rubicon tires for an upgrade on the sport? My local dealer said he has no info on that at this point. Curious what they look like and how they will price out.

Looking forward to getting back in a Jeep again!

Sure wish I could find a fair deal here in Las Vegas. One offer today was AR 1% under invoice, but 349.80 DOC Fee, and 150.00 Affiliate Rewards fee...Can they even do that with the AR program? It kills the discount.

There is a $75 AR fee but most dealers waive it.

No info on it other than what is posted. I'm assuming the standard sport wheel powder coated black and the Rubicon tires -KM mud tire. I'm guessing the price will be in the $500-$600 range.

Just curious, are the people ordering signing papers or putting money down? I'm here in CA, and my sales manager said it was illegal to collect any money before you take delivery...and I signed NOTHING.

You can negotiate the doc fee. The dealer i went with up in GA got the Jeep down to $20980 ('13, Manual, ac, 3.73 gears) but had a $490 doc fee. I told them i wouldnt pay a penny over $100 and they agreed. As for the AR fee.....havent heard of that one.
