Can anyone point me in the right direction ab some 2014 rock rail length info/fixes/etc? My 14 jkurx pinch seam seems right but the rock rails are 3-4 inches too long on the back.

Anyone else running into issues pricing a Sahara or Rubicon at a dealer today? Went in to price and do final numbers on a JKURX order, and dealerconnect showed a blank for the invoice price for those models. Anyone have any idea what's going on? Price increase?

For those of you who have helped stir the pot and or guessed answered the questions or just voiced your opinion thanks......I am glad I didn't wait to order the Hydro and am also very Happy with our Hydro Polar....and to be totally honest it will be a Mall Crawlin', grocery/ baby hauler for as long as we own it.

I kinda wish I could drop that kinda coin on a Jeep and than start throwin' "Mad Money Mods" at it but I know I can't, just the way it is, but I do have the '04 TJ and '12 JK so IMO I have the best of both Worlds.
I got a good "wheeler", I got one I can EASILY drop the top on and cruise the highways or modest country/ loggin type roads, and we got the Polar which IMO is as nice as our 300 but gives a better view with only slightly worse MPGs.

And the best part is my wife is HAPPY, and everyone knows if MOMMA AIN'T HAPPY, AIN'T NO BODY HAPPY!!!!

Blue Is her favorite color!!!!

Exactly why I ordered the Hydro Blue, because my wife liked it! Even though she loves her Rock Lobster Sahara Unlimited I could tell she really didn't want me to order AMP'd. That's why we've been married 34 years.......

I recently ordered a new 2014 Unlimited Sport with the Sunrider soft top. Does anyone know if the plastic windows are tinted on this top when ordered on the Sport? I know on the regular soft top they are not.

I wonder if that's to cover the cost of the "free" Trail Kit ?

How do these price increases work? Does it only affect new models being ordered or delivered or does everything currently on the lot go up in price instantly too?

There is 1 Advantage over Canada. They take price increases on Stock and Inbound.

Classic Car buying trick is buy the oldest on lot, the dealer has paid the most floor plan interest on it, and it is usually 300-700 cheaper. If the options are right it negates any nominal rebate a JK might get.

Yup, the key here is to be aware of the increase. Dealers will negotiate off of the pre-price increase amount, as long as the buyer is aware of it. Some dealers I talked to were actually using the increase (last year) to help sell the older models. They left the original (priced) window stickers on, pointing out the increase on the newer jeeps.

DMF 4.10 Rear Axle Ratio - 441
RHB Uconnect® 430N SAT/CD/DVD/MP3/HDD/NAV - 975
AEM Dual Top Group - 1945
AAJ Connectivity Group - 441

I did see the $ increase to $441 for the 4.10. Dang that seems a bit high for what I'll get out of it, but leaves my mod options open down the line I suppose. Can't confirm the A/C increase, but may just do without for the cost...I think I can still turn a dial...

Also, if anyone can weigh in on $800 under invoice in terms of fair price, I would appreciate it. Seems like that gets me in the 2% under invoice range.

2% under invoice is pretty good, however, I always shoot for Employee Pricing, which is somewhere around 5% below invoice, or 10% off of MSRP. Some dealers will come down this low, most dealers will not.

In my experience, if you're custom ordering, dealers seem to be a bit more accommodating, mainly b/c they will not incur any finance charges, marketing charges, lot charges, etc. for the Jeep b/c it's already sold, even before the Jeep hits the lot.

Since 2007, I've purchased two JKUR's at Employee Pricing. It can be done. You just need to find the right dealer, hold your ground, and have a lot of patience. When I go to negotiate deals, I always bring my laptop, and continue working, while the dealers give me the run around back and forth. I settle in, and recognize they're going to try to wear me down, however, I just continue working on my laptop, drinking their coffee, completely relaxed, until they finally agree to my terms :-)

Posting in this thread because it might be a 2014 specific issue.

What is the proper battery SIZE?

Group 34/78? 91?
(did use search first...)

Thanks!
