Wow, I wonder why they wouldn't just give you the locks for all wheels, but again we are talking about Jeep and we all know they do "special" things. Glad to hear no fee was incurred.

Are you giving the Trail Kits to everyone who bought an '14 Rubicon X?

Only those which were ordered on or after 10/8 (D status)? Invoiced on or after 10/8 (KZ status)?

Only those where their window sticker lists the Trail Kit?
And is your dealer doing this out of "good will", eating the cost? Or is Chrysler/Jeep paying for the kits?

Such would be a pretty good guide for what others should expect from their dealer.
We are giving the kits to everyone that bought a Rubicon X. The first ones that came in listed them on the window sticker, but we did not get them from Mopar. IIRC, all the window stickers from the very beginning have shown the kit as part of the X package. We ordered and payed for the ones we did not get in the beginning. The most recent orders have had the kit shipped to our parts department. What's happening now is we and the customer are charged for the kit as part of the Rubicon X package and then Mopar is charging our parts department for the kit a second time. Still trying to get reimbursed from Mopar, but we aren't having much luck. Short answer is yes we ate the cost of some of the kits.

Guys, is there a cut-off date in January for factory orders? If so, what is it? In the process of lining up my order and was not sure how much time I had if I wanted to get it in this month. Thanks.

Mighty nice of your establishment Pat. There is no way my dealer would do this.

Bradspe, just looked at your window sticker...its similar in options to what I am order. Question regarding the base radio (130)...does that have a USB input that will allow you to play your iPod through the dash with radio controls?

The Trail Kit was added to the Window Stickers of JKRX's, starting roughly in the middle of November. I assume yours was built before that?

Yes, the 130 did. It also had the USB port in the center console.

But I purchased a 430 N off the forums here and switched it almost immediately. Cost me less than half the price of ordering it as an option. It was plug and play.

Yes sir. I was referencing Pat's post who stated the X's he got had it on the window sticker. I assume he ordered some prior to November.

I just looked through the inventory locally (via Jeep's website) and 4 of the 9 local JKURXs had the kit listed. All had serial numbers starting in the 19 or higher range... none of the lower numbers had it listed on the stickers.

Mine also has a 19xxxx serial number... and was manufactured in 11-13, but no luck on the Trail Kit on my window sticker. Unfortunately, I also don't have a dealer like Fields or a sales guy like Pat, so I will have to suit up and do battle...

Bummer, I wish that they were available in the states. I love the color but need a rubicon.

However, when I picked my Jeep up, it had one locking lug on the rear spare, and the "key" in the glove box in a vinyl pouch.

Does everyone get the one locking lug for the rear spare from the factory?
When I picked up my 14 Unlimited Sahara from Pat, I had 1 Mopar wheel lock, spare only. Was a nice surprised, I wasn't expecting it. I noticed some discoloration on it the other day :-(

I ordered my X on 10/28, went into D sometime mid-November, and took delivery on 12/30/13. No Trail Kit on sticker. Dealer looked at me like I was speaking Swahili when I asked about it.

They checked with the parts department and claim that they don't have anything. What should I do?

I know we all want the most for our money, but Jeep prices are such a moving target. Did the trail kit become included with the Rubi X before or after the price increases for 2014 models? The kit is, what, $150? Maybe a few lucky schmucks managed the lower prices AND a "free" trail kit, maybe more lucky schmucks get a trail kit while paying slightly more than others.

It includes a pair of shackles ($30), gloves ($20), a tow strap ($30) and a Jeep labeled bag ($$$$$70). If you knew that you'd get that kit, but had to wait a month to order your Jeep, would you have done it?

Any information if Hydro Blue is going to come out for anything other than special edition vehicles? Or has that been answered and I missed it.

Well I took the plunge today I ordered a 2014 Willys wheeler Wrangler its hydro blue pearl with automatic trans 430 mygig and the Alpine 7 speaker can't wait dealer said 8 to 10 weeks. I guess I'm going to have to give up the speed of my SRT charger for the ability to go anywhere I want, lol I will miss a power though. Oh and I forgot the best part I got the half doors my should look exactly like this picture.

I am just about ready to order. I think the only thing stopping me from ordering a Willys over a Sport (both half doors) is the glossiness of the bumpers, wheels and grill. If these were matte black I would have ordered already. I like the black accents just not glossy. I love all of the standard features of the Willys as well.

Has anyone seen the Willys in person yet? Is it as glossy as it looks in those LA photos or was it shined up for the show under the bright lights?

ArcherAce, have you seen any come off the line yet? If so, what's your opinion on the shiny/glossy grill, bumpers, wheels?

The first one had just started running tonight. They are glossy, But they look tough.

I would say if you wanted a Wrangler that looks tougher than stock but did not intend to modify it this would be the jeep for you

Thanks for the info. So glossy and tough huh? What color was the one you saw? I am leaning towards Billet but also like Anvil and Granite. It will be a two door, half doors.

Two blacks so far. Ronniesil's anvil is just up the line. I should get it soon.
