Will I be topless a lot or just sometimes and do I want a Sunrider/ or Safari top. For me in NE IN I prefer the Frameless NX for my TJ....but it is a DD and I also have a duster and Wrap around Jammer so I can run no windows (usually but still cold this year)from March to Oct/ Nov...and I do have another Jeep ('12 JK) if I need to leave the TJ set because of weather etc. We also have a '14 JKU Polar...and while I have thought about getting the Frameless NX for it...probably not gonnna' happen as my wife prefers the HT and Freedom panels for "Her" JEEP....and the ease of putting things in back without having to unzip the windows. For my TJ the NX is perfect, for a JKU that is something you will have to figure out. Only "help" I have is if you prefer frequent raising and lowering of the ST might be ahead to get a OEM style top...if gonna use as a Safari top and/ or use the sunrider feature the NX should be perfect. GOOD LUCK!!!

I live in Maine so the weather changes quite fast I don't have a garage so I need something that I can put back on pretty quickly by myself. Thank you I'll check out the OEM style,

Hey Guys and Gals,

Lease Plan has finally posted the cutoff dates for ordering a 2014 JK (and other models). They are usually pretty accurate, however I am sure Pat can confirm.

Hey guys I just ordered my '14 unlimited sahara today and was wondering what all I can expect to come with the jeep? I've heard there are bags for the front part of the freedom hard top, some kind of coat hooks, and some grab handles is that true?

If it's the same as my 13, then yes, you should get the freedom panel bag, 4 grab handles, and 2 coat hangers. Mine were in the console when I picked it up.

If that is the case I have a short period time to order and sell my current car! Most likely looking that I need to hold out for 2015 model.

My saleman showed me the allocation slots left for Wranglers in March yesterday, and there were only a couple models that could still be ordered. (2 dr sport with power windows may have been one). This is earlier than they filled up last month.

My recommendation to you if you want a 2014 is to have your mind made up as to what you want now, and be ready to order as early in April as possible.

Thanks you too !! I just got the standard wheels that come on it because I'm planning on putting a set of black XD Addicts on it when it shows up with a 3 inch TF lift. So if you want the ones that come on it I will sell them to you ha.

Well I placed my order for a bright white sahara yesterday there was a restriction on the 24G Customer Prefferred Package the day I ordered, but on Monday when I went in and picked up a price quote they told me there currently wasn't any restrictions because they were in the allocation period.

About ready to place my order

I am getting ready to place my order for a new Jeep. I would like to think everyone for their contributions/information as it has been very informative.

I am ordering a Rubicon with following options:

(JKJS74) MSRP 34,995 Invoice 32,961
Rubicon X package (24J) 4,100 3,649
Auto Trans (DGJ) 1,295 1,153
Remote Start (XBM) 495 441
Unconnect 730N (RHR) 1,570 1,397
Auto Air (HAB) 345 307
4.10 Axle Ratio (DMF) 495 441
Max Tow Package (AHQ) 395 352
Dual Top Group (AEM) 1,785 1,589
Dest. 995 995
TOTAL $46,470 $43,285

A couple of quick questions and any help would be appreciated.

1) I thought the Rubicon X came with a soft top. Wouldn't it make more sense for me to just order the Black Hard Top?
2) Are there any ordering restrictions with the Rubicon X package (24J)??
3) I am pretty sure I am going to go with the 430 Nav instead. I really like Garmin but didn't know if anyone had any other reasons/suggestions to select the 730.
4) I have discussed the Tread Lightly program with my dealership and they are acting like they haven't heard of it. The way I understand it is the Dealership is reimbursed if they honor the Tread Lightly Program (1%) under invoice. Is this correct or am I wrong?
5) I was also wondering if anyone knew what the estimated arrival would be if I placed my order on Monday

I know I threw a lot out there but thanks again in advance and for everyone's input so far to this forum/thread.

1. The soft top is included, but if you order the hardtop, it replaces the soft top. So since the price of the soft top is included in the base price of the Jeep as standard equipment, they credit the value of the soft top towards the hard top and only charge you the difference since you are getting the hard top only. If you order the dual top group, then you are effectively buying the hardtop at full price and thus you get both tops.

3. I have the 730N myself and prefer it, but there are some slight differences. The 430N will let you use the Garmin POI software to upload your own custom POIs to the unit. However, it uses the same external UConnect module as the base 130, and as such can't voice control the Nav or files on the harddrive, whereas the 730N can do both of these. Without voice input or an unlocking device like the AllGig or Lockpick you have no way to use the Nav while in motion. Also, one of my favorite features on the 730 is the split screen where you can see your Nav on the right and the radio on the left, which is a feature the 130 does not offer. The 730 also has Sirius traffic, which is nice in areas that have a lot of traffic to deal with, another feature the 730 does not include. They both do offer TravelLink however.

4. Tell them Chrysler Affiliate Program, they should know that. The Affiliate plan is exactly what you described, which Tread Lightly is part of since they are a Chrysler Affiliat participant. You are correct they get reimbursed for honoring it.

Don't make the mistake I did and order a tow package, just buy an aftermarket one for several hundred dollars cheaper.

I think it is a different story on the X. It isn't as easy or requires modification to add hitch yourself. Pretty sure I read that one here somewhere.

I read on here to get the rugged ridge hitch because it doesnt have the nuts welded on and will fit on the x. plus $75 vs 395 it is worth a little elbow grease.

Any expectations that the 2015 will go up in price vs the 2014 by much? Also in the past couple of years it seems like a couple of color codes opened up in May for the current year that were set to be in the colors for the following year. The specific example I'm thinking of is Flame Red become open on '13 I believe in April or May when it was slated to be a '14 color (replacing Rock Lobster from '13). I'm secretly hoping Hydro Blue miraculously opens up for the Sahara at the last minute on the '14's.

On a side not, we just bought a new 2014 Chrysler 200 from Tacoma Jeep-Chrysler this weekend. Da'vonte our salesman was awesome! Find him if you're looking for a new Jeep in the Seattle/Tacoma area.

No advertising dealers in this thread.

Prices can increase at any time, without huge warning. They didn't go up much to start 2014 model year, but did rise a couple months later.

I think the answer is No, but does anyone know if you can order a Rubicon Unlimited X with Saddle leather interior or is it just black as the only option on the X package?

You are correct, the answer is no. It's a black interior only. US Spec is Black Seats only as well.

I was wondering if a Sport S comes with grab handles, coat hooks and the bag for the hard top like the Rubi?

Freedom bag is standard with the hard top, grab handles are only Sahara and Rubi, but way better options are available aftermarket. Dunno about coat hooks...

That would explain why I only got the pair of coat hooks with my Freedom Edition (Sport S) :-)

For some weird reason the 2 doors do not come with grab handles. My wifes 2013 JKU Sahara came with grab handles so I stole the ones for the back seat and put them in my JK Polar. I later installed GraBars and then gave her grab handles back. GraBars are great!!!!

I thought the 2 door Sahara and Rubi came with 2 grab handles, while the 4 door Sahara and Rubi got 4 grab handles and a coat hook.

It isn't uncommon for the grab handles to have been "borrowed" if you are buying off the lot.

That is my understanding as well.
