Just got back from the dealer, I am trying to order a Rubicon Unlimited and he's telling me the Uconnect 430N is NOT available as an option, I can only order the Uconnect 730N... He's going to call Jeep on Monday and find out why it's not available in his ordering system...

Good to hear Pat. He had the 4.10 glitch at first too so I'll have him check again on Monday.

Thanks Pat! I hope this gets cleared up on Monday, i've wanted a Jeep since I was around 10 years old (46 now), so this is really a big deal for me and I hope it goes well...

It totally depends on the light. I test drove this beauty the other day and it looked more blue to me.

2% under invoice plus paid off my '12 wrangler trade in which was about $2000 over blue book!
No rolling negative equity and went from a lifted sport to a Rubicon. I can't complain!

Billet vs. Anvil

Make sure you look at billet on a rainy day and a sunny day. I almost pulled the trigger on billet JKUR a couple of months ago because it looked so nice in the rain. I went back the next day to finish up and I didn't care for the color in the sunlight. Very different and not for me.

Ordered a loaded sport in billet yesterday from Pat. I like the color more importantly so does the wife.

I have a billet and love the color, rain or shine. Cloudy conditions it takes on a gun metal shade and bright sunny the metallic is stunning. But i have always been a big fan of metallic paint.

Out of all those new colors, after looking at them, Hydro Blue is the only remotely appealing new color IMHO.

It would be nice if you could order it just primed and paint it any color you want when you get it home

mikebot,

On one of the jeep forums there's a forum member who had her jeep painted... Bright pink. I'm not a fan of pink in general or pink vehicles, but the color that she chose combined with the mods she did - that Wrangler looks stunning!

It was very tastefully done and whatever shop she went to, they did an amazing job. So maybe starting with white and then custom painting it would be a way to go.

sounds cool, but then why buy a brand new jeep, if you plan on repainting it ? i would think the logical thing to do with any vehicle is to buy an older year model.

Start applying logic to Jeeper's and you're in for a world of hurt. Best to just leave logic at the door...

Did the 2014's go up in price from the 2013's?

I think they went up just slightly, IIRC, there's a "usual" small price bump from year to year.

From what Pat said earlier in the thread, looks like the only one not going up in price is the Freedom Edition. I'm very happy that 1) they are bringing the Freedom Edition back for 2014 because the lots are already VERY thin with them and 2) knowing that the price isn't increasing puts me more at ease.

yeah logic and jeeps dont go together..
im buying a 14 and its going straight to jeep place to replace axles/ suspension
and then in a few months the engine and tranny..
jeeps are kind of like harleys, no ones leaves them the way they come from the factory as they say "make it your own"..

i used to build custom bikes and no 2 are ever the same..

oh that goes with any type of novelty/special car or bike. i've been in the import scene for more then a decade, all of the cars i've owned were in some way shape or form modded. if it wasn't the motor, it was exterior and interior etc

when i get my 2014 wrangler unlimited i'll also begin with mods within the first couple of months of owning it.

You guys could just vinyl wrap your jeeps in the desired color, and it will protect it from trail scratches.

Saw A Plum Crazy Challenger today. Made Me Sad That I Won't Be Seeing It On The Jeep. Any Idea If It'll Be On The 2014 At All Or Am I Crossing My Fingers For The 15?

So in other words you just want a 2014 body and interior. Couldn't you just buy a 2011?
