It was very tastefully done and whatever shop she went to, they did an amazing job. So maybe starting with white and then custom painting it would be a way to go.
There's a lifted bright pink '13 jeep for sale here at one of the dealerships in Vegas. Not my thing, but the paint job is excellent.

Good idea! I was quoted somewhere between $5-8k for a custom paint job on a JKU. I am the type that will use something up until I replace it. My plan is to use all the tread on the stock TIRES before I upgrade, and I'll probably wait until the paint is hazy before I look to go custom. It would be nice to have a milspec OD green metallic paint job though... Some of the shades on the Grand Cherokee would look nice too. What did you go with?

Not real ones. Photoshopped ones a few pages back, but not sure if they are 100%.

Best thing to do for Copperhead is google it. There's a 2012 Military Edition in Copper which is supposedly similar to the new Copperhead.

The amp'd color on the first post in this thread looks a lot like Dozer. The other swatches I've seen made it look like baby shit, and the concept car wasn't particularly thrilling either. Really really hoping this yellow looks good on the wrangler.

Thanks to Pat, ordered my 2014 today with little haggling at the dealer. Got 1% under invoice without using any of the affiliate programs. Got in before the first order block closed, dealer expected 6 weeks delivery, I'd be happy if that were the case. They tried to get me in a 2013 but JKs with a 6sp but there weren't many in Ohio that aren't silver. There was a $250 doc fee but that is standard for the dealers around here it seems, they'll make it up with free oil changes for life though (10 year payback on that one lol).

Just curious, don't know if this was addressed somewhere previously in this forum. Are destination fee's allowable under the affiliate program?

So I just read through the whole thread again to make sure I didn't miss it.....didn't see anything.

Are you able to order a Freedom Edition at this time? I'm really liking the idea of a Freedom Edition in Anvil.

Finally was able to see an Anvil 10A yesterday. Drove 50 miles to see it and turn around and come back home. It was worth the drive, I kick myself for not ordering the 10A now. The bumpers and hood make me wanna splurge on the Rubicon X, they are that nice. The texture and fit to the stock flares are so much better than most aftermarket companies.

This is the true color, it's just a flat battleship style gray in the light.

That hood alone is making me wanna wait until rubicon X details are out!

Dual Top Group now reflects the deep tint windows as well:

Dual Top Group (AEM)
Details:
• Freedom Panel Storage Bag (CS2)
• Tinted RR Qtr & Liftgate Windows (GED)
• Rear Window Defroster (GFA)
• Rear Window Wiper/Washer (JHB)
• Black 3-Piece Hard Top (MX3)
• Premium Black Sunrider Soft Top (MX5)
Pat - thanks for everything. Ordering mine as we speak but my dealer in OR says the tint (GED) is not listed with the Dual Top group in his DealerConnect... any ideas? Or should I order anyway and expect it?

Also, he's not sure how to order the saddle interior trim with my saddle leather seats...

Thanks in advance!

Unhappy

Been driving my 99 TJ (1st car) for the past 12 years and have gotten so much enjoyment out of it; however I was sure this would be the year to trade the old TJ in for a JKU but with Jeeps color decision so far it looks like they might lose out on a purchase this year.

Really I understand the need for a variation of colors but it looks like the 2014 will be the skittles/ rainbow brigade. Not everyone wants to drive bright colors. I can just see how fast these colors will show nicks and damages if a branch takes a good whack at my side or hood. It looks like jeep keeps shifting the demographic of their consumers.

How in the world do you not have one GREEN or dark pearl blue!!! The only color that is close to a normal color is Black and everyone and their soccer mom drives a black JKU.

I'm still holding out for some sign of hope Jeep.

Are you looking at the same colors as me? It seems, to me, that the colors are quite subdued this year, rather than "skittles/ rainbow". The "orange" is really copper, the "yellow" is really amber/gold, Granite is almost metallic black, and the Hydro blue seems to be a gray-blue if the Hydro=Atlantic theory holds out.

Make sure you judge the paint colors on the vehicles rather than paint chips, as the chips can be very deceiving.

See, I don't get that at all Davecore. I want a bright color, and the 2014s look to be mostly old man grandpa sedan colors. I don't see the skittles thing at all. Silver, gray, more gray, white, black, brown, too-peach tan, green, and red. Most of the colors are boring. Yes, I count red as a boring color. Silver, white, black, red. The four most common colors you'll see on the highway.

The skittles colors are you call them? A copper that looks interesting, but still a little too blah - I mean, there are minivans that color forcrisake. The yellow has looked like babyshit in all swatches I've seen, until this new one has come out. The blue, that's the only real skittles color to me. That's the only color I can look at and think "A minivan would look TERRIBLE in this color". Which is what I want in a color, honestly. (to a point. Gecko made me shudder) Just.... blue? I'm driving a wrangler, not a TARDIS.

This is going to be a tough one for me. I want to order now, but I want to see what all the colors look like on an actual jeep first. Yellow and copper are in the running, but so is anvil...

Charles.

ORDER UPDATE:

I placed my 2014 JKUR order on June 11, 2013.

My order has been CONFIRMED and I have been issued a link to VOTS as of 0531 AM today--June 17, 2013.

Everyone else experience less than a week from order to confirmation?

My order was placed a week ago and I got my email from Jeep saying my baby was scheduled for production. Does anyone have an idea as to when 2014 production will begin and how long it will take? I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas!

I guess I should of put it a bit different. I guess I am just really disappointed in the color selection for 2014. I've edited the PDF color chart attached a few post back.

If you take a look at the color range we have 4 black to gray colors, 1 light blue, 1 off white and 4 red/orange families. Just seems they lack the basic range of colors. No dark colors except gray/black

Pat, is there any chance new colors could still come out later in the production year? I'm itching for a 2014.
