Do it! You'll be waiting, and waiting...and what if you're not happy with what you thought you wanted?

I said "forget it" (even though I know I love Anvil) and bought my Billet Oscar Mike 2 days ago. LOVE IT!!!!!

Since this is my first Wrangler - I'm holding out to see what Hydro Blue actually turns out to look like....plus I was going to add Black wheels and 32's after I got it - but with that being a factory option that will be available later - I'm still waiting....it'll be a win/win for me!

Thank you! I posted some stuff in the "What did you do to your JK today" thread since I've done a bit of stuff to it in the past couple days of ownership.

As for on topic, I guess you can't order 2014 Freedom Editions. I would have had to sit and wait for an Anvil FE to show up on the dealer lot, which I honestly wasn't willing to do (I needed to get a bigger vehicle ASAP, as my sons lacrosse equipment was causing problems in my Celica). My second choice of color is/was Billet, so I just said "screw it" and bought her. Perfectly happy.

For all you copperhead fans, saw a gorgeous ram today at the dealer. Took a couple of shots with my phone to try and show it in different light. Check out the Moab thread to find out why I was at the dealer

Pat I know its really dumb to ask for more information about the Rubicon X, if you had any you would have already shared it.

But can you take a guess or give us an indication of when there will be more information on this model? And rough timeline of availability? Like will I be able to order one before the end of 2013?

Looks like there is a restriction on ordering the 24R package (auto) at least with the Unlimited Rubicon. Not sure what that's all about. Must be another "Glitch"

No it's actually on restriction. The factory has received more orders than it can build. Sold orders can still be placed.

I always say glitch because saying the folks that input the information in our system are idiots probably wouldn't go over so well.

Though sometimes its really a system glitch where the system isn't recognizing some of the options/features.

Pat, I've gone through this thread and searched the forum but can't seem to find an answer to my question. Will 2014 offer something similar to Crush Orange or Gecko Green? My fiancé REALLY wants a Crush Orange but we won't be purchasing one until later in the year after she completes her RN clinicals. I apologize if this has been asked/answered before but my Google Fu is weak...

I don't think the 8 speed will help the Wrangler much. It's too brick shaped.

Pat, what does this mean for those of us that have already placed JKUR orders and have received our VIN's? I'm currently in "D" status and the uncertainty of when it will arrive is, well, you know the routine.
Thanks

Thanks
It's nothing for those with sold orders to worry about. As I stated, the restriction is due to the factory being at full capacity. Wranglers go on restriction every month, it's nothing new. The restriction will be lifted when allocation opens again- first week of July.

Clear signals are not rare to jeeps. My cj2a has clear signals and so did other CJ's. I like the change.

So, the black wheels and 32" tires option is not yet available? The flame red has been slowly winning me over, but I definitely want to get the black wheels and 32" tires. So I guess I'm still waiting. :/ When will that option be available?

Haven 't seen this covered with respect to the wheel / tire package- does anyone know if it will be available on a 23c package JKU? Here's my thinking. I can live without power windows and locks. Less to break long term. I want connectivity which gives me the leather wheel which is nice. And if i can get the wheel upgrade on a "c" package JKU, then the only thing missing from the S pkg is power which i don't really care about.

Just wondering if jeep will require us to purchase the "s" pkg in order to then purchase the wheel upgrade? Anybody know? Too soon to tell maybe?

Great question! Although I like that you can still order the basic sport package with the 16" wheels and puny tires. It justifies my aftermarket wheels and 35" tires right off the dealer lot!

The black wheels and 32" tires are an awesome upgrade for the sports though. If I wasn't planning on the 35" tires and lift and wanted to keep it 100% stock then this would definitely be the package I would pick.

I would hope you could get it on both the C and S packages... Guess we will have to wait and see

Pat, with the latest Fed announcement on rate policy, how long do you think the 1.9% will be around? Are we good through the rest of the year, or at least till the new colors come out?
