Are they just paint chips still for the colors?

Thanks Milous! That explanation truly makes me feel a lot better about waiting. I can definitely wait until October if needed. Thanks for the info

But you do have to remember, that was 25 years ago. times have definitely changed. Gas has gone up considerably, food in restaurants and fast food joints are smaller portions yet the prices have tripled, hell if you live in NY, you can't even order or even buy a 32oz soda S*** done changed

trade for a 2014

Pat, for those of us trading in that have done mods, is it generally better to remove them and return to stock? For example: i have aftermarket 33's and a different front bumper. If i buy a new 2014 could i just put the 2014 wheels and bumper on my old one at trade. what do most dealerships do? thanks

I just wish I got a stinking discount when ordering the half doors! It's not a big deal on the unlimited sport because you don't have to pay for the power convenience group, but if I order the Rubicon Unlimited I get stuck paying for power locks, power windows, and the security system even though they don't install it... that is messed up IMO, but not gonna keep me from ordering a rubicon. Sorry, just wanted to vent

The colors will be open for ordering this fall, same with the Freedom Edition III.

Jesus Christ, I have to wait until the 1st of September to order a Wrangler with 32" tires and a decent color? That's bullspit. They're taking orders now, just put the goddamn tire package up already. Otherwise it's going to cost me $1500 or more to upgrade to 32s.

Then what's the wheel package? Just black wheels? Shoot I can spray them if that's all it is.

The wheel package is probably just the standard Moabs painted black with 255/70/17 BF Goodrich Mud Terrain KM's, the standard Rubicon tire. There is about 1000 of these tires and wheels, just not painted black, on Craigslist.

It really is just not worth the wait, I found a complete set of 5 that are my TJ with adapters for only $500 bucks.

Hmmm....so did the Freedom III drop the partial leather/option for heated seats with 115V outlet that was introduced on the Freedom II?

I feel your pain... but, technically speaking, the order banks that are open are for dealer orders, to allow them to build inventory ahead of the September start of the new model year.

Pat,

It took me forever to read though this thread but glad I did. But as I'm trying to spec my next Jeep I had some questions about the info in the first posting about the Unlimited Rubicon:

1) Under "Wrangler Rubicon", the "Options" section isn't titled and under "Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited" it says "Wrangler Rubicon Options", making me think the section under "Unlimited" was copied from the non-Unlimited section (though there are some differences I'll mention below).

2) Under the "Wrangler Rubicon Options" under "Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited", it lists "Deep Tint Sunscreen Windows", but this appears to be an item that is standard on the Rubicon Unlimited (referring to the Standard Equipment list).

3) In the same section, there is no mention of the Trailer Tow Group (as there is under the standard Rubicon options), but there is an mention of the Max Tow Group (which everyone seems to think is a rip-off since the Rubicon already includes the 3.73 rear axle ratio). Sounds like the only difference between the standard Tow Group and the Max Tow Group is the 3.73 upgrade, I'm wondering if the standard Tow Group is an option for the Rubicon Unlimited.

4) For the Unlimited Rubicon options, both "Heated Front Seats" are listed as well as "Leather Trimmed Seats...includes heated seats". Does this mean that if you get the Leather Trimmed Seat option you don't need to also order the Heated Front Seats option? And does it mean you can have Heated Cloth Seats if you don't get the leather seat upgrade?

5) I think you mentioned earlier in this thread that the interior would be available in Black (ALX9) or Black/Dark Saddle (ALXV). Does this apply to the dash/doors only, or also the leather seat option?

My last Jeep was a 1997 Sahara, which recently died on me. While this may be my first post, I've been lurking in these forums for the last few years trying to figure out when to get my next jeep and reading through this great information. I've been w/o a Jeep for about 9 months and I've had enough...it's time for a new Jeep. I was looking at the 2013's but since the choices are so limited at this point, none of the color/options in my area are what I'm looking for, I figured I'll just order exactly what I want in a 2014.

Also, if anyone can recommend a good dealer/salesperson in the San Diego area, please PM me with their info. Most of the salespeople I've met so far have been beyond ignorant about Wranglers and shouldn't even be allowed to represent the brand.

Yeah, feels pretty good huh?

Of course...you know that post 2501 comes in 3 new colors that you'll probably want more than the one you got on post 2001.

Just sayin...

Leather seats do include heated seats
Cloth heated seats are an option

Max tow on a Rubicon at the price is probably a waste. Only you can decide if it's worth it to you, save money and do it yourself, or pay someone to do it. Or just order it and call it good.

Black ALX9 is all black interior

Black/Dark Saddle ALXV is a saddle seat with a black/saddle interior, meaning the interior panels on the doors are black and saddle and the dash is both as well.

Truth be told, I really wanted to be the 2000th post(the Y2K post). Apparently the world didn't end on 2000.

Sorry - No more thread hijacking hijinks. Just can't help checking this forum constantly hoping my color becomes available. Over and out. Until tomorrow!

I am all over my dealer right now! I ordered on 6/24 and got my VON quickly. I check with him regularly and its still in BX status! I have a feeling that they don't have allocation as they may have put in their max orders. I told him to contact the local rep and get this figured out, as mine is a sold order. Have a few things going on in August and it's not looking to good I will have the Jeep when I really wanted it this summer! As usual the dealer is trying to give me a bit of a go around like he don't know whats up, when all along he probably knows exactly why it doesn't have a VIN assigned yet. Frustrating!
