Have a few things going on in August and it's not looking to good I will have the Jeep when I really wanted it this summer! I have a ton of sold orders in BX that were placed in June. I wouldn't worry about it, it's a good order and can be scheduled for production. Now if it's still in BX at the end of this month you might have to make a call.

Hey Pat,

It says the Freedom Edition comes with connectivity group, Uconnect, etc.. Does that mean it comes standard with the premium EVIC?

Thanks for the updates today! You rock!

I'm curious now, why has there been no talk of Amp'd also on page 1 update? there is no scheduled release for it. is it being held back ?

Thanks Pat!

I see everyone getting their VIN (even the ppl that ordered like a week after me). Also I do not have access to the VOTS so that in itself is annoying!

Do you believe the reason for not having the VIN is just the model that is on the line? I made a pretty basic order of black JK sport (3.73, tow package, side steps). Thanks for putting my mind at ease a bit!

I'm not allowed to tell you or anyone else....

Just kidding, we all know the colors are staggered every year, so knowing that there are 3 opening in the fall, it would make sense that AMP'd would be a little later release.

It seems like at one time it was mentioned that the 2014 Sport models would get the Mineral Gray 5 spoke wheels that had previously been on the Freedom Editions. Is that still the case or will the Sport wheels be the same as the past few years?

Wheels will be the same, I guess it was too late to get it done for this year on the Sport S.

Dang, I kind of like the mineral gray wheels. Pretty much the only thing I do like about the Freedom Editions and thought those wheels would look pretty good with Anvil or Granite Crystal. Still so torn between those two colors. Thanks for the quick answer Pat.

Not saying your dealer hasn't submitted, but have you seen the order/build sheet. if not ask the dealer to email you the order/build sheet, see if your info is on the bottom left.

interesting.... not that it was one of my top picks as a color for myself. just curious really. i also made a poll with a what color are you ordering thread, im sure you seen it. apparently it doesn't seem to be that popular, well at least here on the boards.

Dual Top Group Question

Sorry if this has been asked before....

What is the difference in price for between the dual top group vs. just ordering the hardtop and premium sun rider soft top? Looks like there may be something else that comes with it to justify the higher price. Looks like the MSRP $2185 for dual top group and $995 fro hardtop plus just $400 for premium soft top. May be stupid question that has an easy answer I have overlooked.

Thanks!

The prices listed for the individual tops are if you pick only one of them. You can't select both of those. Basically, the hard top price is the extra cost over the standard.

Leather seats do include heated seats
Cloth heated seats are an option

Max tow on a Rubicon at the price is probably a waste. Only you can decide if it's worth it to you, save money and do it yourself, or pay someone to do it. Or just order it and call it good.

Black ALX9 is all black interior

Black/Dark Saddle ALXV is a saddle seat with a black/saddle interior, meaning the interior panels on the doors are black and saddle and the dash is both as well.
Pat,
As usual, you're awesome and thanks for providing the additional details.

One (hopefully) last question about the above list of Unlimited Rubicon options:
Looking at the Standard Equipment Guide, it says "ALPINE PREMIUM AUDIO SYSTEM (RC9)" is standard on Sahara and Rubicon but your list above includes "AJC Mopar Premium Sound and Leather" (2000, 1780), which includes the Alpine upgrade, Heated Front Seats and 115 AUX Outlet.

My understanding from the first post was that I would just need to get the Leather Trimmed Seat upgrade (1100, 979) on the Rubicon because that would include the Heated Front Seats (which includes the 115 AUX Outlet) and the Rubicon came standard with the Alpine stereo upgrade. And since I didn't see the "AJC Mopar Premium Sound and Leather" option listed for the 2-dr Rubicon I figured it's probably a mistake in the Unlimited options list.

Sorry for all the questions, but I just want to go into the dealer knowing exactly what I need to order to get what I want and what it will cost.

Pat,

OK, that wasn't the last question and I probably shouldn't be posting this question here but it is somewhat related and I couldn't find the info in the 2013 thread which looks pretty dead these days.

The window sticker on a 2013 10A shows the 10A package has an MSRP of $5,400....is there an invoice price for this?

I'm asking because a dealer I approached about ordering a 2014 now sounds like he might be willing to deal on a 10A. I'd like to shoot for about 2% below invoice (maybe a bit more because it has a few options I never would have picked) but w/o knowing the markup from invoice on the $5,400 10A option I could be way off if I guess.

I got 3.9% below invoice on my 10A. I ordered it in January and picked it up in April though. Either way, I would NOT pay more than 2% below invoice on a Wrangler. While they sell like hotcakes, the salesman wants the money in your pocket to end up in his. And 2% below invoice is a reasonable price. And invoice on the 10A package is $4806.00. Shoot for 4% below invoice and "settle" for 2%. Aim High! Good Luck on the 13 or 14!

OK, now I'm confused... If I want both the 3 piece black hard top and the premium sunrider soft to for the Rubi I order, what do I check on the order sheet and what is the invoice? I don't want to check the wrong boxes on my sheet and have my numbers off going into a dealer negotiation. I know I saw this somewhere in the forum before, but can't find it! I don't want to give the dealer 1% off the bat because I have my numbers wrong !

You want the dual top group. Look on page one, I think the invoice is around $1940 or so. If you find post #609, there's a link to a Google docs spreadsheet you can use to help build your spec sheet.

If Amp'd is close to Dozer then i'm all over it. As far as color popularity goes, there are a few charts out there but basically your looking at:

White 23%
Black 18%
Silver 16%
Gray 13%
Red 10%
Blue 9%
Brown Beige 5%
Yellow/Gold 3%
Green 2%

I really want to wait for amp'd, but I really need a car for a road trip in september, so I will have to get red. I'm just going to order it this weekend.

I've got the Google doc (which is awesome BTW... thanks Thrillhouse!), just want to make sure I'm not double counting on the sheet. So I think what you are saying is that if I select the dual top group it includes both the three piece black top and the premium sunrider soft top (i.e. don't select the others individually). I assume that also means that if you select the leather seats you shouldn't select the heated seats because it is automatically included with that upgrade, right?

Yes, that's correct. Dual Top price includes the black hard top and premium soft top, and leather includes heated seats. You don't have to add the separate prices for the included items.

How much is the dealer making? As far as I can tell, they get 3% (of invoice) holdback, and Chrysler gives them another 2% if the buyer has the affiliate program.

All of the dealers in Denver add $499 handling fee, which is quite a bit. Are you settling at 2% under invoice AFTER adding in all fees?

Holdback is 3% of MSRP - 995 (delivery), if I am not mistaken.

That is what I paid for my 12, I wouldn't pay a 500 handling fee.
