No such thing is picking up at the factory. They allow us to walk the line with our Jeep as they are built but we still have to put them on the truck and send them to the dealer.

Are 2014 Rubicon wheels the same as 2013?

Has anyone determined for sure if the 2014 Rubicon wheels will be the same as the 2013s?
I was going to order a locking lug nut kit in advance for my "production scheduled" JKUR, but then realized I don't know if I'll want to buy them in black or chrome ..
thanks

In the past years Chrysler officially blesses the new Wranglers that are eligible under the Affiliate Rewards/Tread Lightly banner late in the year (like in December or January of the new year), and they have made that information available on Chryslers web site. I just looked at Chryslers web site for the Affiliate Rewards rules and it no longer explicitly lists the current model year that are eligible. Do you expect the timeframe will be the same this year? (And where can 'joe public' look to see when the switch is flipped? i.e. when the 2014 Wrangler models officially become available for the Affiliate Rewards program.)

Will the steering wheel design remain the same in the 2014 or change to the current design of the 2014 Grand Cherokee steering wheel?

As far as I can tell from https://www.chrysleraffiliates.com they are eligible now. It does not seem that they limit model years, only specific models. In fact the only explicit restrictions I see listed is this:

The Dodge Viper, Dodge Dart(SE) and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT are not currently eligible for this program.

In the past it was spelled out in black and white, no guessing. The Dealerships could deal early if they wish, and some did. Maybe Pat can refresh the posted Affiliate Rewards Official Program Rules the next time he comes across the current edition. (I am still assuming the discount becomes official on/around January 2, 2014).

I ordered my 2014 JKUR on Saturday 7/20, the dealer had no problem using my Control # from tread lightly. I ended up at 34,999 before sales tax, doc fee, and registration. ~ 2.7% under "FWP" aka invoice.

You can see my order breakdown here -

I've already been quoted affiliate pricing on ordering a 2014 JKUR thru multiple dealers. I don't think there is a wait for the affiliate discount. At least there better not be!

New login, new password, 80 pages later and I'm finally caught up on all the new Jeep stuff! (and like 40 pages of people complaining over colors, editions, and a what "real" jeep entails)

Just one question...when does Granite come out? and anybody got pics of Amp'd?

JK/JK/JK

just waiting to see Rubi X info, I'll be a late model buyer anyway. I had a chance to buy a 10A, but I hired a four new guys instead, looks like I'm being rewarded nicely with a Rubi X!

All vehicles must pass through a dealer for a variety of reasons, legal and operational. As to the latter, the dealer serves as the final check and cleanup (removing packing materials, etc.) and title transfer/documentation so the vehicle is ready for the road.

So explain the Corvette factory delivery and European Delivery for imports? Jeep has such a following, they should implement such a program.

I'm sure the Corvette and Euro factory delivery options require a "Dealer" status at the factory. I agree that Jeep/Chrysler is missing out on a cash-cow by not having a museum and factory delivery option. Off-road driving training, demo, all that would not only build owner loyalty, but could turn Toledo into a pretty serious tourist attraction

If im correct even when you order a bmw, you have the option of going across the country and actually watch them build it. afterwords take it out on the autobahn and test drive it. im sure its pricey to do such a thing but if have money for a higher vehicle like that then why not splurge and go for the whole thing?

Was thinking the same thing. I would do this in a heart beat. Was planning on a European delivery of a new BMW but the Jeep bug bit again. They are fools for claiming their offroad abilities but not having a place to show you and train you on driving your jeep even land rover does it to some extent with their little driving courses at the dealerships.

what about Jeep 101, and the Rubicon courses? I think both are offered by Jeep in certain parts of the country to show you what a jeep will do off road, and train you at the same time? I could be wrong.

Yup! Its called the bmw european delivery program European Delivery - Overview - BMW North America

BMW sets up the path and gives you points where you want to go and makes sure you get their not only safely but the best driving route to show off your car. Its an incredible program.

not to mention it is FAR CHEAPER then buying one at the dealership since your essentially purchasing below cost. BMW feels that if you do a european delivery you will be a BMW customer for life.

Audi also offers a similar program. Ive always wondered why american car companies never offered anything like it

here is a trip that was detailed very well. you can also go to bimmerpost.com and type in EU delivery and read through the 100's of threads that did it.

I'd love to see that explanation. A lot of stuff is not obvious when you only buy a car every 7-10 years.

Also, thanks for all the information you provide! This thread is the reason I paid up for a Wrangler Forum membership. Support the place that has the goods, and all. As a primary provider of said goods, I hope you get points for that, somehow. I only wish it wasn't such a hassle with tax and registration to buy a car out of state, or I'd be buying one from you, too.

We got my wife's S60 Volvo with the OSD program. Below invoice. Volvo pays for 2 R/T tickets and puts you up in a hotel for a night, too. Drove around Sweden, them fly home. A few months later if arrives at our dealership. Much like the Affiliate Rewards, Volvo pays the dealership to receive the car. So even with OSD there is a dealership to transfer title, do final inspection, etc...
Fantastic program, I totally would road trip to Toledo for a Jeep. Drop the Destination fee, through in a driving course. Bam!

Supplemental workers, Service Agreement Workers, Independent Contractors and inactive on-roll employees are not eligible to participate in this Program under DCC, Fleet or Supplier.
Eligible employees or individuals who do not comply with the Rules and Provisions may be suspended from the Program.
Program Elements:
1. Companies determined as eligible by Chrysler will be required to enroll into the Affiliate Rewards program. A representative of the company (usually an employee within the HR department of the eligible company) will serve as the Program Administrator.
2. Upon enrollment into the program, Chrysler will provide each eligible company, association or organization with a unique six (6) digit ‘company code’ number. Each eligible entity will communicate their unique ‘company code’ to their eligible employees, retirees or members.
3. An eligible customer interested in participating in the Affiliate Rewards Program will access the website www.chrysleraffiliates.com or by calling Affiliate Rewards Program Headquarters at (888)444-4321. The participant will be required to enter their unique company code and complete an electronic form to generate a control number.
4. The control number generated will be a unique 12-digit alphanumeric number which should be printed and brought to the dealership at the time of purchase. All control numbers MUST be generated in the name of the eligible employee or retiree regardless if the vehicle is purchased by the spouse, surviving spouse or same sex domestic partner.
5. The intended buyer (employee, retiree, member, spouse, surviving spouse, or same sex domestic partner) must provide the eligible employee’s unique ‘control number’ and proof of eligibility documentation to any participating Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram dealership or FIAT Studio for audit verification purposes. Copies of this documentation must be kept in the deal jacket.
Appropriate documentation includes:
Employee
Current pay stub, W2 or company photo ID badge
Retiree
Copy of pension check, direct deposit receipt, company retiree ID badge, W2 or healthcare ID card with company name identified
Spouse
Marriage license or similar documentation showing relationship to eligible employee
Surviving Spouse
Appropriate documentation showing relationship to deceased eligible employee
Same Sex Domestic Partner
Documentation from eligible customer showing same residency as eligible employee/retiree AND documentation showing domestic partner on file with the eligible companies HR department. For states that recognize Same Sex Marriage, a marriage license is also acceptable proof.
Member
Membership card or other documentation showing current membership with the organization
Affiliate Rewards
Official Program Rules
6. Program ‘control numbers’ in the form of pre-printed Affiliate Rewards coupons may also be obtained through Chrysler sponsored or supported marketing events.
7. Participating dealers must call Program Headquarters at (888)444-4321 to confirm the validity of the Chrysler Affiliate Rewards ‘control number’ provided by the intended buyer and to ensure it has not previously been claimed.
8. A completed Pricing and Acknowledgement Form must also be completed and signed by the customer and retained by the selling dealer for each sales transaction. The form is located within this document at the end of the rules page.
Preferred Price:
A participating dealer submitting a claim under this program must sell or lease the vehicle at the Preferred Price (a maximum of 1% below factory invoice plus a $75 administration fee).
The dealer must show the participant a copy of the Factory Invoice.
Dealer installed options are negotiable between the participant and the dealer, and must be itemized and individually priced on a fully executed Bill of Sale and on the Pricing and Acknowledgement Form signed by the dealer and the purchaser/lessee. A net Bill of Sale without detail is not acceptable.
The dealer price to purchaser/lessee is calculated by adding dealer-installed options and/or Over Allowance on Trade amounts to the Preferred Price. The participant may not be charged for any preparation fees, delivery and handling charges, service or overhead fees, or any other such delivery fees under this program. Documentation fees are allowable under the respective governing State in which the vehicle is titled. Documentation fees may not exceed those normally charged on any other sales transaction.
Administration Fee:
Each participant must pay a $75 program administration fee to help offset the cost necessary to support this program.
Dealer Reimbursement:
Payments under Chrysler Affiliate Rewards will be made as part of the weekly DealerCONNECT incentive claim processing system. Having a Jeep related attraction has been something Toledo has needed for years. The city is finally taken notice and has contacted a number of Jeep clubs looking for information regarding Jeep "destinations". They want to know what makes these places interesting for Jeep enthusiasts. It's been bitched about for years, but I think the popularity of the Bantam Fest has opened the cities eyes as to what they are missing out on.

I've seen the letter. There is no time frame or hint as to what the city is looking to do. It's liable to be years, if ever, before anything happens.
