That would suck!

I don't know about 2014, but I used the Auto stick on the 2013 we rented in Ouray while in 4WD, no problem. I loved it going down the mountain passes.

The way these electronics displays work they flash updates on the screen many times per second. But it's faster than the eye can see, so it all blends into a consistent image. But when you take a picture of it with a camera, the camera captures an instant in time, so sometimes not all parts of the display might have been updating right at that instant. No need to worry Aug. Thanks for the pics.

Can someone confirm if when you order the Dual Top Group, does it come with the standard sunrider soft top, or the premium soft top? I'm looking at page 133 of the 2014 fleet buyers guide posted earlier, and it doesn't specify which one.

JWilson posted earlier and mine is same. Dual top group includes premium top.

You can download the 2013 owner's manual via Jeep.com and prepare yourself ahead of delivery. Small upgrades in 2014, such as premium EVIC, carpet retention tabs, and clear front turn signal lenses won't keep you from being comfortable with Wrangler design features in advance.

Hey everyone! First post here and new to the forums as well. Been in the process of deciding to buy a Jeep for a few months and am now ready to pull the trigger. Been reading through this thread for all the info on the 2014 models and am excited to get one.

Been doing all the upfront work with securing my loan through my CU, etc. and now just trying to figure out what to get. Earlier this year I looked at either the RubiX or Moab Limited 2013 models however got busy and held off. Since 2014MY is rolling out I figure now is the time.

Anyone have any recommended dealers in the Richmond or Central Va. area? Also any news on when the full model line will be released with the limited editions?

Yes, that stitching started in 2013. However, saddle cloth seats are slightly different than black cloth seats in that they have tan stitching.

The autostick can be used in 2WD and 4WD.

Question from Newbie

Does the 2014 Sport S have the option of purchasing the 730N? and Can you get Leather seats? Thanks

Question for the almighty Pat. Do you believe the rubicon X will have the xtra lift and different springs like the 10a does. Or will it sit like the standard rubicon - including having the standard rubi tires (instead of KM2s)? Thanks much.

Leather yes. katzkin in premium leather and sound group.
730N no. But you can get non Nav 430 or buy a used 430N for about the same.

Hmmm. So it might look a bit more unlike a 10a than consensus thinking goes-sitting lower with standard tires will make a difference I wld think...

I would say there is a good chance it will be just like the 10a - not sure why they would change the lift on the X. The X seems to be 99% 10A and may even have a couple extra options that the ultra elite 10A owners don't have

Standard rubicon tires, KMs. Not sure on the lift yet. None of our material mention it.

I'll ask on Monday.

Thanks pat. Very curious how the X is going to stand vs the 10a, and if I should wait for X or pick up a remaining 10a out there....

Excluding the lift for now and the tires, everything is the same. Same hood/bumpers/rock rails, wheels, red letters and red axle/sway bar switches. If I was allowed, I'd post pictures...been asked not to.

No 10A badges or stitches in the seats or grab bar. Not a 10A. Same price. Do the math.

True, and I have a feeling the total number built will exceed 5000 US.

Did someone post pricing for the X? I haven't seen any pricing from Jeep yet, and I think some of the package contents of the 10A will be options on the X. As an example, premium soft top was standard and there was a credit when you opted for the dual top or just the hard top. I don't think things like that will be standard in the X as they were in the 10A.

It would sure be nice if some of the 10A stuff will be options on the X... hopefully the leather seats will be optional.

yes you can manually shift in 2wd, 4hi and 4 lo. You can manually shift in any drive mode or you can let it automatically shift in any drive mode. 1,2 3 4 and 5 just a tap of the shifter.

Don't think there's enough available information to make that call. I am having trouble locating a 10A equipped the way I want it.

My local dealer is saying they won't know exactly how a 2014 Rubicon X would compare until next week at the earliest - they're being trained and/or getting more details on new models/editions.

Yes! From 2012 forward you don't see drive gears. Just "D" and option for auto stick.

Pat, I hope they build 20,000 of them. I also hope they are successful. The "X" platform could be the way for Jeep to sell a modified factory jeep. That is the precedent set by the COD and 10A... They also should each be uniquely different. Ie.. Paint. Tires . Etc...

The part that was more than a badge is that it's a 2013. Anyone who thought those parts weren't showing up again was fooling themselves. I wouldn't be surprised to see one of those bumpers end up as standard equipment on Rubicons or Saharas at some point or in the Mopar catalog. The cost of tooling alone would justify it.
