The real question is, will that be enough of a difference to placate the 10A owners who feel they were scammed by Jeep?

I'm just disappointed that the X is another premium model rather than a bare-bones trail rig

Are there 10A owners who feel scammed? Really? That's definitely a minority...the rest of us welcome the 2014 X owners who get to enjoy the cool features we do. And all new Jeep owners regardless of model

Picked up my 2014 today... They wouldn't give me the Military Discount, they said that Wranglers aren't listed as a qualified vehicle... I called IAMJEEP and the lady just told me to call back tomorrow to see if the Wrangker was added.... I asked her why I would do that, if I'm buying the Jeep today!?! Tomorrow doesn't help! I'm happy I got my Jeep, but kinda pissed about the $500

That sucks. Jeep, and all other car manufacturers should honor our servicemen and servicewomen. Should not matter about vehicle, but about service to our country. Thanks for all you do!

I know this has been discussed somewhere before, but how necessary is LSD for someone who lives in Texas? I ordered a 2014 wrangler sport 2 door and forgot to add the LSD. I called the dealer and its too late to add it. Am I making a mistake here?

I wouldn't order one without it, but I guess it depends on what purpose your Jeep will serve.

Texas? Not the worst thing in the world to not have it. I recommend for most DD's, especialy those up north that have to deal with a lot of slush and wet roads in the winter. But it really depends on how you plan on using the Jeep.

I'm a proud 10A owner, and I don't care the X has some of the same features. I'm just enjoying my Jeep, and I hope everyone else can enjoy theirs, too!!

Have your dealer submit a claim for the military rebate tomorrow. Worse case they can cut you a check back for the $500. I had emailed about the military rebate and today I was told it was added. Your dealer can call program headquarters and then fax the bill of sale, title form and military ID.

PM me if you don't get anywhere and I will see if I can help. IMO, the dealer should have saved you the $500 even if it comes out of the dealers pocket and not Chryslers.

You can email me to as I might need your full name, address and VIN if your dealer can't get it done. I can't guarantee anything, but I might know the director of incentives and might be able to get his help on this.

If anyone else has this problem with the military rebate in the next 3-7 days please let me know so I can get the information to the appropriate department.

Our dealer just called to let us know that a new Rubicon had just landed on their lot so we could actually see the Anvil color in person. It had just been delivered from another dealership a couple hours away. The customer was on the way to pick it up so we hurried over. We liked it very much which was good since we had ordered a wrangler unlimited Sahara in Anvil this past Monday. While we were admiring it, my husband pointed out some scratches on the drivers side of the hood to our salesman. Then we noticed more scratches across the top of the hood. Once we really looked we realized it was a word........nigga. We were all sick and disgusted on many levels. Can you imagine how the new owners are going to feel when they see this mutilation of their brand new vehicle? It can be repaired and the dealership will do it but the new owners were probably so excited about taking it home tonight just as all of us are anxiously waiting our turn.

I run into the same issue now that I am a manager. You can call me tomorrow, I am in all day, or you can email me and I will speak with Brian.
Congrats!

Thanks Pat, I did get the call. This hasn't changed my mind about purchasing from Fields, I still think its the best place to buy, and your help just proves me right.

Question My wife wants a civilized Wrangler

My 2014 Wrangler Sport S will be delivered in a few days, and already my wife has jeep envy. Whereas mine is a two door bare bones with manual windows, basic sound system, and basic soft top (plus 17" wheels for light offroading), she just wants a luxury SUV that will never get stuck in the unpaved roads and poorly plowed streets around our home. We have gone off the road 3 times in that past few years in our regular AWD SUV, in areas without cell service. She wants all the creature comforts including best sound system, navigation, heated leather seats, and the smoothest possible ride in a stock JK wrangler.

Should she get the Sport, Sahara, or Moab version for the smoothest ride? Any seat options other than leather? I assume that the JKU is a smoother ride with the longer wheelbase than the JK.

JKU Sahara sounds like a perfect fit here. Go painted top and fenders. I'm personally not a huge fan of that but there's a couple colors I think carry it well and lend to the high-end SUV look. If she wants luxury you want the leather, yes?

If you can find a deal on a 2013 Moab, go that route. Since she'll be using hers as a mall-crawler, swap the metal bumpers onto your Jeep and save some coin on mods. The Moab is an upgraded version of the Sahara, so it should have all the bells and whistles for her, plus it's discontinued after 2013. You SHOULD be able to find a dealer that'll play nice on price since the 2014's are rolling off the trucks as we speak.

When spec'ing out a Rubi with the dual top group (at $2185), what is the price of a body-colored hardtop? $2185 or $1000? I'm getting a bit of conflicting information....
Thanks!

$1000 Extra over the dual top option and like another $300 if you doing the fenders...

Steep but I like that look best on most colors.

Sounds like you described a Jeep Grand Cherokee. That's what my wife has. She loves it.

I have been asked to supply pics of the 2014 exhaust crossover. Here they are.

If these aren't sufficient, please let me know just what angle people need.
