I doubt that those speakers make much of a difference at all but that is exactly what we need worse sound!

from the comments i've read from people that have their 2015's - the sound system is much improved over the 2014.

From what I have seen, the tweeters were replaced with 3.5" speakers and 3.5" speakers were added to the sound bar, in addition to the 4 6.5" speakers.

I'm OK with the sound on my 15 Rubicon. I'm not a sound guy though. The radio is on the bottom of my list for Jeep equipment. LOL

The tweeters are still there, but they are flush with the dash and point up

Would have like that, as thats where I like to place my Garmin GPS unit in other vehicles. Since the tweeter is there in mine, I have the Garmin mounted higher up in the far left corner.

They point up so the sound bounces off the glass. I really don't like the tweeters in the older Jeeps. They are a pita to get around when you are cleaning the glass and dash.

I owned a 14 Sport with the base sound system and that was beyond awful and my buddy has a 12 with the upgraded sound system and my 15 Hardrock blows my old sport away and is my better than his as well.

Its a well known fact that the U130 satellite radio sound sucks in the 2014, let us know if this new one is an better. Kind of interested if there are any changes to the headunit actually. USB drive never defaults back on when the radio is turned off and back on(will either go to SAT or Radio), and the SAT sound issue, those are my pet peeves.

Why didn't they put the tweeters in the A pillars?

Yes but with windshield down you'd lose the in dash sound reflection too.

Interesting idea. Though, I would go to the top corner of the A pillars and point them downward. The general area where the mic is located today. Jeep doesn't seem to worry much about customers lowering their windshield where the mic is concerned.

I am not sure how many people actually lower their windshields anymore. All the naked/doorless pics I have seen lately, still have their windshield up. I am not saying there are none, just that there are very few.

This isn't a problem if they are weather proof speakers. Does anyone know if they are?

Nice X. I now have a red Jeep but my prior Jeep was blue. That is one nice looking Jeep you got there. Have fun with the mods.

RZN- that Hydro Rubi is so awesome looking. I keep going back and forth on whether I should have ordered a Hydro. It really stands out! Congrats!

Won't lie, the lack of the 'tombstone' tweeters is an aesthetic plus. Would love to hear any sound improvements over my 13 and 14

Hydro Blue might be worthy of trading my '13 Rock Lobster. Really like the color!
