My Hard Rock came with some stock step rails, I'm wondering if anyone tossed on Ace rock Sliders with the stock rails? Will there be any interference when mounting, and if not, how do they look together? Pics would be appreciated.
I have a willy with Ace rock sliders. I love the look of them. Plus they offer lots more protection in parking lots from door dings.

Thanks in advance

Dave

Dave they won't fit with the mopar enhanced rails. I'm in the same boat as you, looking to replace my enhanced rails for something a little beefier.

The ACE rails definitely do not fit with the enhanced Hard Rock/Rubicon rails. I'm pulling the enhanced rails, replacing them with stock rails and adding the ACE sliders. It all started when I realized the stock rails/sliders had no value as a step for a certain 'vertically challenged' passenger...and if she ain't happy I ain't happy. And FYI, when shopping for sliders make sure you specify if you have the enhanced rails....

Out of curiosity is it difficult to use the mopar enhanced rails as a step also? I have a tube step on my vehicle that I don't care for and would get damaged off road on any significant rocky trial. My wife and kids use the steps to get in and out but I only use them to put dirt on my pants leg because I step over them.

Technically, you can put Ace rock sliders under the 2015 Hard Rock rails. However if you leave the stock HR rails on, you can't use the Ace sliders as a step. Un-good. I'll be taking my stock rails off now that I've got first-hand knowledge of how goofy they look combined.

So I looked at taking off the stock 2015 rubi rails, but when I do, the rocker panels will look unfinished with holes where the rails attached. Anyone got a suggestion for covering the rocker panel? I want something fairly thin so I can use my Ace sliders as a step to get into the Jeep. Smittybilt makes a rail that is similar to the older rubi rails, but even that is thicker than I want. Would love to hear from someone who has put on a thin rail.

why not just put your ace sliders on over your rubi rails as seen here? Edit: reading the header again I see its a hard rock, with enhanced rubi rails. You would have to downgrade to regular rubi rails also. In place of your enhanced rails.

Edit: part 2 I think people have bedlined that area making it virtually disappear. Can't get thinner than that.

rock rail/step struggles

I just bought my first Jeep, a wrangler unlimited Rubicon. We are struggling to get in and out of the jeep and are looking for a solution. We live on a farm, tons of dirt road, etc but do not intend to do any serious off roading. I also want to keep the new jeep looking as "factory" as possible and have no intention of lifting or modifying it. My intention was to simply replace the factory rubicon rock rails with the enhanced version that comes on the Hard Rock and my dealer was going to give me a credit for the rubicon rails so the cost would not be significant. Then I read a post here that said that the Hard Rock versions were not very functional as a step for his significant other. I hate the look of the actual "side steps" on a Rubicon. Now thinking about leaving the factory rails and adding the ACE sliders which seem to be a better step. Thoughts and many thanks in advance!

Ace and White Knuckle Offroad works with the stock rubi rails, however they put you in an awkward position stepping inside the jeep (but it does help with other family members). I forego my WKO rock sliders every time I get in. Grabars really help with that.
Other than that, the rock rails are very very good for accessing the top such as cleaning.
