2015 Mopar Premium Leather / Katzkin color choices?
Can someone tell me if the Mopar Premium Sound and Leather option, which gives us factory-installed Katzkin leather, allows us to order from the full Katzkin color palette and configuration options?
I'm just curious and have forgot to ask my salesperson that on two occasions. I'll probably be doing it after-market anyway through another place in town, but just thought I'd consider all options here.
Yeah, but my salesperson is out for a few days and I'm trying to limit my dialogue with others or other dealerships. I did call the dealership yesterday and talked to two different people who didn't know. So as of right now, the best answer I have is "I think so, but I'm not sure."
If the options and colors are available, then it works out as the best priced option and also convenient to do it this way as opposed to doing it after. I'm actually surprised at the lack of info out there about it, even though it was also a factory option on the '14s and possibly the '13s as well.
I was told otherwise. When I re-ordered my 2015 Rubicon I had saddle leather and Alpine selected and asked what the difference in price for the premium leather and sound combo was. It was really close so I thought about getting it. When it showed the options for colors on his (the sales manager's) order screen, it showed only black as an option, so stubborn and stupid ol' me hung on to my saddle fetish and opted to get the leather trimmed lesser seats instead. Please tell me if there is a way around this, because if so -I may still have time to change it!
So, they would only let you order the Katzkin leather in black, on your new Rubicon?
Someone posted here photos of their Katzkin leather interior in Saddle, so I assume it was available on models where the Saddle interior was a choice. Sorry if that was a bad assumption. I remember there was a whole debate here on if the Katzkin leather in Saddle was lighter or darker than the Jeep leather.
You get the same color choices; black or saddle, within the limits of the particular model.
This is the correct answer. Was just at the dealership. Factory-installed Katzkin is a nice option and yes, black or tan are the only options. Works out to a very minimally priced upgrade vs. the standard leather trimmed seats and upgraded audio if the salesperson knows what they're doing and orders it right.
If we want other colors or options for stitching, piping, two-tone, etc.. All Jeep dealers can also order and install Katzkin leather with any/all options through the Katzkin Mopar program and have the seats stamped/embossed with "JEEP" or "Rubicon" or whatever.
