I am looking to purchase a brand new 2015 Rubicon Hard Rock edition. The ones I have found In my area seem to all be pretty loaded.. The one I am looking at has the following; 430n Nav, Supplimental Side Airbags, Heated Seats, A/C w/automatic Climate control, Alpine 9-speaker sound system, Dual tops (Black), Automatic w/3.73 axle ratio (does not have the 4.10's), and has a Remote start system.... It also does not appear to have a tow package. Iis a two door model.. So,, With the above options (regardless of MSRP being $42,910) what is considered to be a great price (realisticly).. I am curious to know what you RHR 2-door guys paid for yours?? Thank you.
Hey - I recently bought a Hard Rock (like on Friday recently). I paid $38K on MSRP of $43,075. That's nearly a 12% discount on MSRP. I would say anything in that range or better is fair. Anything under 10% is not a great deal IMO. I bought from a high volume dealer which generally have lower pricing because of how they get paid on the backend from Chrysler (from what I understand). Dealers that don't do higher volumes, won't have these deals.
I searched high and low for the one I wanted too and researched about 20 different dealers for pricing and the right configuration. I'm in the Northern Virginia area.
Thanks, I may have to keep looking (not happy about no 4.10's and Max Tow for front radiator transmission cooler) but it getting to be slim pickings now.. The price I got was around 38,500.. I may wait for the 2016's??
Can you please check to see if yours has the front transmission cooler on it and what package you have, tow or no tow?? I really need to know package adds it. Tnx.
Looking on the Build and Price section of the Jeep.com website, for the Rubicon Hard Rock 2dr, only the Tow Package is listed ($395) and the info says it includes the wiring and hitch. For the Rubicon Hard Rock 4dr, only the Max Tow Package is listed ($495) and the info says it includes the wiring and hitch.
Maybe the 4dr has a different hitch or the extra $100 is for the extra long wires needed.
Case closed, I searched through a bunch of online window stickers of 2015 rubicon, rubicon hr..Every automatic with a tow package listed in the window sticker had the cooler showing through the front grille. The automatics with no tow package had no cooler showing. But all is not lost... I found the cooler as mopar wrangler accessory. It has the factory oem cooler, oem brackets, and oem factory lines.. Part # 68143895AA ($140.00).. This is now a non issue for me.
You are correct, there is no mention of a transmission cooler in any of the tow package descriptions.. I just don't understand it, but my window sticker findings are solid proof.. Please look for yourself or call a local dealer.. Perhaps an oem jeep parts dealership person will have more specific notes on this cooler.. It is clearly showing up in front photos of 2015 wranglers with a tow package listing in the window sticker.. Please check this for yourself, you seem not to want to believe this finding for some reason? Anyone here can verify this.. I hope this information will be helpful to others.. Have a happy Memorial Day.

Build whatever you want and wait for your Jeep. This way you don't have to settle. As far as pricing goes, it's all based on region. Minimum you should pay is 1% below invoice. 5% below can be had at a few dealers in the country. Build your Jeep on Edmunds and you'll have access to invoice pricing.
A 10% off MSRP discount is not unheard of, but is definitely NOT the norm. I too got 12% off, but it was in a leftover 2013, in January, fully loaded, in Commando Green with Saddle interior. It was the exact combo I was looking, so I happened to luck out.
As Keviper says: you can get 1% below invoice fairly easily (which is approximately 5% off MSRP). Employee Pricing is 5% below invoice (or approximately 10% off MSRP), but Chrysler has been clamping down on these.
Check out TrueCar.com to get an idea of JK going prices in your area.
I have the auto and it has the cooler. I put my hitch (curt 13432 by my choice looked heavier duty)on yesterday cost me a wopping $92 with a mopar harness.
Depends if you want your Jeep by summer or not. 2016 is delayed. 2015 is still available for ordering. No changes with the 16' so you might as well go out and enjoy your Wrangler instead of waiting.
I didn't really read everything, but I just got mine it is awesome. It was really expensive because it had everything on it but I love it and I really think it will be with it. I'm going to take in in a road trip in about a month from Houston to Vegas then to San Francisco and all the way to Seattle. I'll post a pic of my jeep :
