2015 Wrangler

Just purchase a 2015 Wrangler Sahara in Hydro Blue. Dealer gave my 8.5% off MSRP plus 4 oil changes. Should be here in 7-8 weeks. Could have had a better deal om a 2014 but they did not have one we liked.

Always get what you want rather than what they have left over. You will be happier in the long run. Congrats on the new Jeep!

If not already, you might want to go hang out in the Waiting Room, where you can commiserate with others waiting.

I wanted a base model with no extras beyond A/C. Waited until the end of September (end of the fiscal quarter, end of the model year) to buy mine. Got it for a steal. Then I was able to dump money into making it the Jeep I really wanted the way I wanted to do it.

But yea, if you want some specific options from the factory and they don't have it in stock it's worth it to order one exactly how you want.

Hmmm, I just ordered mine last week; 2014. I inquired but he stated they aren't out quite yet? I'm believing getting shipped to the dealer? I decided to get a 2014; which I'm waiting until tomorrow as it's located in another state.

Wonder what the model difference will be? Congrats by the way =-)

My dealer told me the only difference was color and a slight price increase. This is for my wife and the only options she will want is some chrome and a back up camera. I know it's sad to see a jeep used to just ride around on the paved roads. We live on the ocean so I hope she gets it out on the beach a few times.

The 2015 has a new style bumper with the fog lights on the far sides.( 2014 < was in the middle) also the interior changed slightly for the dash and what not to give it a slightly more modern look.

I've been all through the information that's been released for the 2015. Where did you see this change to the bumper/fog lights?

Googled it http://www.carreviews2015.com/2015-j...-release-date/

I don't know how reliable this site is but I have also seen it on a few others also.

I would be skeptical. That picture isn't even of a 2015.

Add to that, their statements like "In addition to the use of lightweight materials and new design, 2015 Jeep Wrangler will get a new independent suspension systems of relying."

Pretty sure that picture is of an export Wrangler. If you look again, it has the bumper right up to the fender flares and a filler piece between the bumper and frame that fills that space in more than what you'll find on a domestic Wrangler. That's because of the stricter EU restrictions.

So, for anyone looking at a new domestic Wrangler, the bumper/fog lights should be the same as on the 2014. No changes there.

That bumper is just the European bumper they've had all along. Europe doesn't allow the fogs to be in the middle. Also, even while overlooking the poor grammar, that site is full of misinformation. It states that the wrangler will have IFS in 2015 and also mentions an Ecoboost diesel. While Europe has diesel wranglers, I'm pretty sure "Ecoboost" is branding for a ford engine.

We're not allowed to tell you here, to look for such over in JeepGarage.org. So, don't.

I haven't seen it yet but there is probably a 2015 Waiting Room so you can ponder on all the wonderful things you are going to do your new Jeep and all the wonderful places you will drive it with all the other soon to be 2015 owners. If you are into that sort of discussion.

I can't believe how hard it is to order a 2015. I've been to multiple dealerships who don't have allocations to order one and 2 dealerships who think I'm going to pay MSRP. Sheesh. I guess no one wants my money.

If anyone has a lead on a dealership in the Houston area that is ready to order a 2015 - let me know.

It seems to me that they do want your money. All of it.

Regardless of some of the posts here where people claim to have paid 20% under invoice, or something like that, what you pay is mostly driven by the unique market you live in. If your local Jeep dealers don't have any problem selling their entire Wrangler allocation, you might find they aren't as "hungry" to accept any low offers. I mean, if they have no problems selling every single Wrangler at MSRP, why in the world sell you one for any less?

I hear you on that one. Everyone and their grandma wants a Jeep down here in Houston. I can't imagine they have any trouble getting rid of Jeeps at MSRP. I did finally find a place to order a 2015 though and I'm happy with the price I got from them.

Join Tread Lightly, pay $100 for the individual membership and you'll get the Chrysler Affiliate price which is 1% below invoice. The dealer is also limited in the doc fees and such it is allowed to charge when you use the Affiliate program. Worth a look if you are buying and can't get much off sticker.

No but if you're talking about saving $2,000+ on the initial cost (MSRP vs invoice), waiting a bit might be worth it. Many say they don't wait the 30 days and it is still honored. I'll find out this week. The dealer I purchased from gave me mine at invoice and told me to bring in the control number once I had it and they would cut me a check for the 1% and submit it to Chrysler after the fact. My package from Tread Lightly should arrive today or Monday.

I joined Tread Lightly on a Tuesday, received my package in the mail the following Monday and obtained a control number for the dealer the next day (Tuesday). The whole process took 7 days. They did not make me wait the 30 days and also told me I am eligible to receive 2 vouchers each year for my household. Nice program!
